They would have had like a full 24 hours before Devo claimed, and I dare say I think Aman and Archer could have figured out the possibility :P.

I spy an elim slip?

Silver Bones is an ability, not a role. To me this looks like e!SE Araris wanting to claim to have his e!Writer teammate’s role while adding a bonus defense, but he forgot that SB isn’t a role as he had full SE abilities.

Uh... what? I was pointing out that if I were the elim SE, instead of Mat, then that would require me to have 2 roles.

Then why not just have said that? :P.

Why are you preemptively defending against an accusation that you have two roles?

I'm not. I just had the thought that a player having 2 roles is weird, despite not being prohibited in the rules. Since people are suspecting me because my SB claim makes me a candidate for being the e!SE, and since I am a Writer, I figured I'd bring it up.

The whole day I've been trying to make the case that Mat is the more likely e!SE candidate over myself, and I feel like everything I've said makes sense in that context, whether or not folks agree with it.

As a side note, I'll be changing the rollover time to 9:30 starting at the next turn for a few turns. My sister is getting married this weekend and we are doing a lot of prep work (including me altering the dress).

Personally I don’t mind if you change it now but this is what you said earlier :P

Araris.

Steel (1): Aloha
DeTess (2): Sart, Ash
Mat (2):  DeTess, Aman
Archer (3): Araris, TJ, Mat
Aman (1): Kas
Fae (1): Fae

I don't get why Aman would be fine with this if Mat was also evil unless Alpha is an elim but the TJ kill is odd from an Alpha team since they were both had pallid masks. Archer's vote alone wouldn't have been enough to survive this, and putting two elims up to VitC without trying VitC themselves doesn't seem reasonable. Araris has the mech pool going for him but I don't think JNV putting in one last action is that unlikely.

I am beginning to realize the people of Threnody are resilient. They survive where others should not.

The ancient ones care not for who dies, only that blood is spilled. Each drop strengthens them, drives them closer to waking. Yet these survive.

No one was executed!

Well that answers one question

Adding Alv to my list of possible Araris teammates (Take note that this list doesn’t take into account anything I forgot it should)

I take it you all forgot that Araris claimed Silver Bones a while ago?  He wasn't going to die to the exe.  Taking out Mat would've been far more productive in determining who is evil.  Now we get another cycle of this discussion.  Unless of course, someone has a crossbow...

Bold of you to assume I necessarily believed him :P. Plus, there’s an e!SE out there somewhere so we’ll have to knock out an extra life eventually, might as well be Araris.

Is this the first exe you had an agenda other than clearing your day actions?

Literally the only reason to exe me was if you believed my claim (and again I’ll emphasize e!me would literally never make that claim). Otherwise we had a perfectly nice POE (which folks ignored to burn my extra life). Not to mention that you are both confirmed to have SB and are in said POE, and are thus a perfect candidate for the e!SE. Not to mention that in your case we don’t have to knock out an extra life.

Okay so if we assume araris is an elim then either walin is their team-mate, or it's a 3-person team, but in the latter case Araris has to be the e!se who was faking being a writer with the help of a writer team-mate.

If there's still a crossbow out there, I'd prefer it if one of walin, araris or mat gets shot so we can go into the next day cycle with some info.

No.  All my votes have had some meaning behind them other than show my actions. :P

Okay, so I doubt I'll make it through the night (frankly, I'd expected to die last night), let me run through some mech for After Araris/Mat has been resolved.

If Araris is evil and a shade expert:

Either Walin is the last elim, or there are two elims left. If Walin is not evil, the two remaining elims are Illwei and one of <Alpha, steel, alvron>, otherwise Walin and one of <Alpha, steel, alvron>. Either way, I'd advice executing walin first in this scenario. One of Araris' team-mates has to be a writer.

If Araris is evil and a writer

Walin has to be the last elim remaining, and the shade expert (I really don't think there's a 5-person elim team with two sets of silver bones).

If Araris is evil but neither writer nor Shade expert

Welp, good luck? In that case there are two elims left, one writer, one Shade expert. Refer back to the first scenario, but keep in mind one of those in the PoE will need to be lynched twice.

If mat is evil and the shade expert

Both PoE's have been resolved as Mat was in both of them, so from a mech perspective it is open season on who mat's team-mate is. I'd say Araris, Walin and Alvron are less likely though, and dropping Devotary and TKN from the pool as well leaves a functional group of <alpha, illwei and steel>. In that group I'm gut-reading alpha as most likely to be mat's team-mate.

If mat is evil but not the shade expert

Has to be one elim left, same group of suspects, Alpha a bit less likely as I doubt the shade expert would also have a pallid mask.

Also, I don't really get why there was a sudden switch onto Araris for their writer claim? In general, I don't like how both Araris and Mat tried to use 'I'm not a shade expert' as a reason for why they shouldn't be suspected at all though.

Also, I mentioned this before without naming specific names, but Kas had gotten enough PM's after Sart's death that there should be two writers left, and Araris had made the writer claim in their PM together with info about previously made PM's, so as I pointed out earlier, if Araris is elim and not a writer, there has to be a writer on the elim team.

I never said I shouldn’t be suspected at all. Like I said above, the only existing suspicion against me was because my SB claim made me an e!SE candidate, so I was defending against that. Nobody mentioned suspicion against me for any of my votes or anything. Except the writer claim, but again that was only seen as suspicious in relation to the SEting.

If you had the extra life, you’re likely the e!SE. If you didn’t, you’re still likely evil for lying. I’m not saying I expected you to die, I’m just saying it could have happened and would have worked if it did.

I don’t have one. Just started with Silver Bones.

Why would e!me lie about having SB in a game where that implicates me as the e!SE, especially when the claim was made in the context of suspecting you for that exact reason. Kas would have exed me in a heartbeat if you’d flipped village.

Idk the timeline of your claim to Kas. For all I know it was before we knew there was an e!SE. If so, claiming it for cred + potentially discrediting me + making him want to exe you less are all reasons that would have been valid.

Again, I wasn’t saying I thought it was the most likely option, just was going through all of the potential possibilities. You can’t blame me for the wishful thinking that was hoping you’d just die and flip red :P.

Claiming SB only discredits you until you are dead, and then in a v!you world that strongly backfires onto e!me. That’s the fundamental asymmetry here; you got forced into your claim by the D1 exe while I made mine willingly. And nobody has presented a coherent case for why e!me would willingly and without prompting claim SB to Kas.

I've got Iron Will, if that changes anything. Kind of disappointing that we didn't get an exe, but I get what everyone's saying. I don't exactly want to get killed tonight, but since I've got a bit of a Finger of Suspicion pointed my way I don't expect to be, anyway. I don't know if we have any remaining Coinshot roles rn but I'm fine with getting targeted since that should narrow down choices for potential elims significantly.

Jen tried not to trip over any roots. The ground was particularly gnarled right now, and she had heard stories of skinning hands on accident from falls. She didn't know if capillary bleeding counted as "blood" for the Shades, but it wasn't worth risking.
