Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) She stood up to take her wrist. "Come on. Just breathe." Edited February 8, 2023 by Channelknight Fadran
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Quote *her Il'anque struggled to take a deep breath. Small steps. You can do this, walker of many paths. Il'anque started calming down. Wait... where had that internal monologue come from? Il'anque started hyperventilating again. Quote How to Torture your RP Characters for Fun and Profit: Because Sanity is Overrated.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "Il..." Kaeni wrapped her in a tight hug.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "...Is it something to do with that creepy spirit thing?"
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Il'anque's breathing slowed "Yeah. Probably."
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "Do you know anything about it?"
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) "No. Not really. But... every time that it comes, it feels like it's telling me to grow. To change." As Il'anque said those words, vines began sprouting up one of the pillars. Edited February 8, 2023 by NerdyAarakocra
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 Kaeni squeezed her tighter. "You're gonna be okay. We'll figure it out."
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "Thanks to you too, Il'anque."
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 "What for? I didn't do anything for you. I only ever make things worse."
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "I uh..." Kaeni broke away, blushing and looking a little embarrassed. "I've been wanting to hug somebody for a long time now, hah..."
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 (edited) Il'anque blushed and averted her eyes. "So have I, honestly. And... thank you agin. For... everything" The vines on the pillar slowly receded. Edited February 8, 2023 by NerdyAarakocra
Frustration Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Quote I'm going to be real, I got lost after the Death thing happened, I thought we were going to do a cool forge scene, and then we got sent somewhere else and I have no idea what's going on.
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Quote Man, got to have a sentimental conversation while I'm at work...poor timing indeed... Avi wasn't the best and words of affirmation. Or being a supporting friend. Or being a friend in general, frankly. But she supposed things were changing. It was time to grow. "We're here for you, Il'anque," she said. "Whenever you need us, whatever you need us for. Give us the word-" she gestured to the communication medallion on her uniform "-and we'll come running as soon as possible."

NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Il'anque smiled. A true smile this time, not the faked one that Il'anque had been wearing throughout the day. "How did you do that? I run in, feeling the worst that I have in all of my life, and two minutes of talking and you cheer me up. How is that possible?" Quote It turns out that all that the forging entailed was picking up a rock. Now we're back at the Reaper HQ and we're having some downtime.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 Kaeni blushed again and sat back down. "Uhm... oh! This looks tasty..."

"I'm not that good at being a friend yet...so I don't really know." 1 minute ago, Channelknight Fadran said: Kaeni blushed again and sat back down. "Uhm... oh! This looks tasty..." Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 Quote Outside the cafeteria. Same difference.
The Bookwyrm he/him Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Avi wandered off to find some food, then came back and sat across the table from Kaeni.
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 Il'anque sat down next to Kaeni, holding a fruit that she had somehow grown without anyone noticing. "Avi, you're a great friend. You've saved my life so many times, and I trust you as much as I do anyone." She turned to look at Kaeni. "And the same goes to you. I would probably be dead ten times over if I didn't have either of you." Il'anque munched on her fruit.
Channelknight Fadran Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 "Now hang on. The only reason we managed to beat that wyvern thing is because you were keeping it planted." Kaeni winced. "Um... no pun intended."
