Wishing to do something for the betterment of The World, Realmingsburg researches a cure for Insomnia.

After many years, they succeed, and create a new medicine that helps people sleep. However, they have no way of testing it, since the patients themselves are asleep.

To solve this problem, the research team creates a machine that can monitor the health of their patients while they're unconscious. Unfortunately, the machine malfunctions, and kills its first patient.

This causes alarm among the researchers, who fear that they may have created a deadly disease or poison.

Realmingsburg's king, however, is confident that they've made the right decision. He realizes that the machine could potentially save thousands of lives.

The king orders all patients to receive the new medicine, even though they aren't fully awake. His advisors agree with him, and tell everyone to trust in their science.

After much debate, the king decides to release his new invention to the public, and hopes that it will become a useful tool for doctors around the world.

A few days later, Realmingsburg receives a letter from the king:

"Dear Scientist, I am writing to inform you that your invention has caused several deaths. Please return to my castle immediately, so that we can discuss your findings."

The scientist returns to the castle and finds his colleagues dead.

He quickly discovers that the king murdered them all, just so he could steal their research.

The king happily informs the scientist that if he wishes to live, he should give up his research. Otherwise, he'll be killed himself.

The scientist doesn't believe that his invention is dangerous, but agrees to meet with the king anyway.

As soon as the two of them sit down together, the king reveals that he knows about their research. He tells the scientist that he plans on using their sleeping pills to kill all the patients, and then put their remains in the ground.

The scientist is horrified to hear this, and begs the king to stop. But the king merely laughs and asks the scientist why he thinks they need to keep these patients alive.

After some thought, the scientist finally understands what the king is getting at.

He tells the king that he needs to let all the patients die, or else the king will murder him.

The king is surprised to hear this, but eventually gives in.

When the scientists wake up, they find that all their patients have died. They are distraught, and begin to suspect that their invention was responsible.

They go back to the king, and ask him to explain the situation.

The king smiles, and tells them that he forced everyone to take the medicine. It wasn't really a pill, after all; it was actually a poison.

The king used their research to make the antidote, and then released it into the wild. This killed hundreds of patients instantly, leaving only the healthy ones behind.

This gave the king a perfect opportunity to create his own army of slaves. These were people who never slept, so there was no danger of them escaping.

The king decided to use these slaves to build a city for himself, where he would rule over all others.

So, let me get this straight.

My researchers tried to make insomnia meds, and wanted to test them. However, the subjects were already asleep, so they created a machine to measure their vitals. The machine was untested, and the researchers wanted to wait to use it. However, my king (I don't have a king...) decided to force them to test the machine. Surprise! It killed people. However, the meds work, so the king releases them. However, the meds were actually a poison.

A few days later, the king writes a letter to his own country, summoning this one researcher to his house. He explains that he's killed everyone, and he'll kill the researcher if he doesn't give him the research. The king (who I don't have...) then uses it and an antidote to the poison to create an army who can't sleep.

What just happened?

As Psmithania pivots towards research, they invest in their math and pscience programs, hoping to find more efficient ways of using the raw materials they have available. Their goal is to create more advanced weaponry in case they are attacked in the future.

They also fund the development of a new technology: telekinesis.

Telekineticists study how objects move through space, and apply this knowledge to their own bodies. By manipulating their muscles and organs, they can send messages from one part of their body to another.

Unfortunately, telepathy is still considered a taboo subject, and any telekinetic who is discovered risks being ostracized by society.

In order to protect their telekinetic children, the parents hide them away in remote villages. These children learn to use their powers for good instead of evil.

Many years later, the entire population of Psmithania comes together to celebrate the first anniversary of their telekinetic school.

Looks like you've established a Telekinetic Academy! Good job!

The king of Siel orders his personal guard to train with the flyers while the engineers and explorers continue researching skyships.

The explorers discover an island full of mysterious, glowing crystals.

The king sends the engineers to investigate the crystals, while the guardsman join the explorers on their journey.

By chance, they all end up stranded on the same island.

The king, however, does not want anyone to know where his son is, and forbids the explorers to leave.

Unable to escape, the explorers decide to stay on the island indefinitely.

A few months later, a group of young scouts arrive at the island.

The scouts are sent to explore the area, but they are quickly captured by the king's guardsmen.

Meanwhile, the scouts' captain manages to smuggle his crew off the island before they are killed.

The guardsman, however, isn't so lucky.

He is too slow to escape, and ends up trapped on the island with the rest of the explorers.

The king meets with the captain, and decides to show him his secret laboratory.

The king shows the explorer the crystal that has been powering his fleet of skyships. It is a powerful source of energy, and could provide Siel with endless power.

But the king doesn't intend on giving up this valuable asset.

If the explorer refuses to help him, the king will kill his entire crew.

The captain reluctantly agrees to work with the king, and helps him produce more of these crystals.

Eventually, Siel produces enough crystals to start building their own fleet of skyships.

Essentially, this is a really wraparound way of saying "it worked!"

Round 7 Recap:

  • New Astrym evacuates their lands in search of a new place to live. This goes remarkably well, which is bad because the computer I have MS paint on has contracted a virus of sorts.
  • Nam-Ed invades Quonshi, conquers their land, and commits genocide.
  • Dalrya almost forms a very gay treaty with Siwuulla, but the princess turn out to be bi and runs off with some loser instead.
  • Eshael Navar also expands the map a bit, reaching a land called Kavara. (Is the computer working yet...?)
  • Lynara creates a new holiday. It works! How nice.
  • The Wrizrecans manage to break free of the Ouphamenial Tribunal's rule.
  • Serenitas manages to conquer the Siwuula dynasty and takes over the bloodline with their boring straight son.
  • The Gahestian Empire gets nothing done.
  • The Commune of Vandora develops Dragonsteel and then gets attacked by the Gahestian Empire (sorry).
  • The bi princess of Siwuulla comes back when Not-Luxembourg threatens the dynasty. She winds up turning a god into stone.
  • Realmingsburg creates a medicine to treat insomnia but only have anti-insomniac patients to test it on so they develop a catscanner that kills the patients and then the king slaughters all the scientists and used their research to create an army of unsleeping slaves.
    • Phew
  • Psmithania creates a brand-new anime: My Telekinetic Academia.
  • Siel discovers a power crystal and uses it to build themselves a fleet of skyships.

I'm skipping the little write up thing I've done in the past for now: I'll add it later.

Having explored their new home, Astrym begins to build a capital city as a center for their government and a place to keep their airships. They hope to complete it before tensions with any other countries arise.

Having explored their new home, Astrym begins to build a capital city as a center for their government and a place to keep their airships. They hope to complete it before tensions with any other countries arise.

Astrym is a very large country, and they have plenty of resources. So they don't need to worry about food or water shortages.

Due to their lack of natural enemies, Astrym focuses on military expansion. They want to become strong enough to defend themselves against anyone who attacks them.

They also need to expand their borders to prevent others from invading them.

They are too far away from the nearest countries to invade, so they focus on expanding into foreign territory.

That was... refreshingly normal.

Impressed by the undefeated armies of the flourishing Gehestian empire, the kingdom of Nam-Ed offers a coalition for the two of them to invade the Eakirandi empire, offering to split the nation 50/50.

The king of Gehest accepts the offer, and both countries set out to conquer the Eakirandi empire.

Both countries have massive armies, and can easily defeat any troops that get in their way.

However, the Eakirandi emperor has been preparing for such an attack.

The emperor is the eldest son of the previous king, who was overthrown by his younger brother over 200 years ago.

Now, the emperor is planning to retake his father's throne. He knows that he cannot beat the combined forces of Nam-Ed and Gehest.

So he hires mercenaries to fight for him, knowing that the mercenary companies will be better equipped than any other army.

The emperor also has spies within both countries. The day before the invasion, one of his spies informs him that Nam-Ed plans to strike first.

The emperor takes this information to heart, and prepares his own army to meet the attack.

On the morning of the invasion, Nam-Ed marches its forces onto the plains of Eakirandi, ready to kick some ass.

The Eakirandi emperor is waiting for them, along with thousands of loyal soldiers.

Nam-Ed's superior numbers prove to be decisive. Within minutes, the Nam-Ed army is defeated.

The emperor immediately launches a counterattack, and kills hundreds of the enemy soldiers.

But Nam-Ed has lost almost all its men.

The emperor then turns his attention to the mercs. Unlike the Nam-Ed army, they are well prepared for battle.

Within hours, the Nam-Ed forces have been completely annihilated.

But the Gahestian Forces strike next, reinforcing the Nam-Ed armies.

The emperor immediately launches another counteroffensive. This time, it works.

The Nam-Ed forces are forced back, and the emperor begins to push them closer and closer to Nam-Ed's capital.

But suddenly, the Eakirandi Empire strikes.

The mercenaries are no match for the Eakirandi soldiers, and Nam-Ed loses most of their forces.

With only 10,000 soldiers left alive, the Nam-Ed emperor retreats to Nam-Ed's capital.

The Eakirandi emperor sends his army after them, and once again Nam-Ed falls.

But this time, the Eakirandi emperor does not follow up with another attack. Instead, he lets Nam-Ed recover.

After several months, the Nam-Ed Emperor finally decides to launch a full-scale counterattack.

The Eakirandi emperor is caught completely off guard, and his country suffers heavy casualties.

Two weeks later, the Gahestian forces arrive, and annihilate the Eakirandi army.

The Nam-Ed emperor now has control of the Eakirandi Empire, and seizes total dominance over the region.

It... worked. I think.
