From preliminary testing, it appears autolock only applies when you refresh the page at the appropriate time. That's what makes the most sense to me. My next guess for an elim is Szeth. TJ is 100% the Highprince, who forced Szeth to Deceive because why would the elims do that to one of their own?

If tj and tua were teammates he had no reason to even bring tua into contention by bringing him up to two. I was the only wagon at 3 or more votes. Szeths reaction to there being no kill doesn't look great but it's not entirely AI.
