[DISPROVED] Random Speculation: The Plague in the Purelake
AerionBFII replied to WeiryWriter's topic in Stormlight Archive
My thoughts exactly!! I always assumed it was on the verge of happening and drawing closer, Nin and Wit seem to know whats happening before the signs become visible but they are a lot older and more experienced as Wit is ancient and well versed in Cosmere happenings and Nin has first hand experience with Desolations and their signs. The main trio are ignorant and are slowly becoming acquainted with this sort of thing. I agree with you that Roshar has been building up to a desolation for some time but the signs are only just becoming more obvious to the untrained eye. I believe people and organizations like The Ghostbloods, The sons of Honor, and The Diagram Troupe have noticed or are actively trying to bring a desolation about out of malice or ignorance i cant say but they know. Some have realized that Moelach is the cause of the Death Rattles or Nergaoul who induces the Thrill like Mr.T but these aren't common knowledge but they have been noticed unfortunately by the wrong people. We know from references from Nohadon that Yelig-Nar who, is also a confirmed member of the Unmade exists but i don't think he has been mentioned or hinted to be active yet. *Yelig-Nar - "Yelig-nar, called Blightwind, was one that could speak like a man, though often his voice was accompanied by the wails of those he consumed" (Jasnahs notebook.) It also broke into Nohadon's chancery and slaughtered all the wordsmen. -
Hahaha also his ability to lose them?

I always thought that it was strange on my third re-read it seemed a little too coincidental. On my second re-read of WOR i thought he was trying to determine whether Jasnah could Soulcast without the Aid of a fabrial, i think regardless of how well she does at keeping it secret we find out in WOR he still suspects her. So i believe he already new he was just looking for 'confirmation'.

Battles awaiting in Stones Unhallowed (BEWARE SPOILERS)
AerionBFII replied to Twenty@20's topic in Stormlight Archive
The main battle i'll be fighting is one of patience, Mr.B thinks sometime in 2016 it will be released. He has already written a few scenes and will spend 2015 working on Stormlight #3 The Political Shadow war between Mr.T and Dalinar.. by which i mean Dalinar believes him to be an ally and Mr.T will be aiming to take him down. He will also have to sway the other nations to support him. Shallan/veil - will be holding a batttle of wits against Mraize. Szeth's ultra awesome tale of revenge against his people and the StoneShamans. Maybe a pitched battle or two. I am so exited to see this book -
[DISPROVED] Random Speculation: The Plague in the Purelake
AerionBFII replied to WeiryWriter's topic in Stormlight Archive
Is it strange that some of the parts i most look forward to in SA is the Interludes? Fantasy is my favorite genre but the absolute master world building and pure detail put into SA is truly exceptional. I always had a theory about the Desolations, it seems strange to me that it would suddenly kick off as one large battle for humanity perhaps the Desolation comes in waves/stages? Like Plague in the Purelake, Spren start acting up, the changes in weather patterns and directions of Highstorms...Like generally just build up before an explosion... Perhaps this is the first stage of the Desolation? -
Most uses of "Storm" in one sentence.
AerionBFII replied to blad3mast3r's topic in Stormlight Archive
I assume an angry/or particularly filthy mouthed weather man -
Szeth is a machine..... a little terminator with a Shardblade........ there is nothing he can't kill.
-
I always thought it was a nod towards Patrick Rothfuss's character Auri.

Hahaha Vin would be holding a GlassBlade to her throat before Shallan could think of something 'witty' to say.

Kaladins gonna fall in love with veil(spoilers)
AerionBFII replied to Wit422's topic in Stormlight Archive
I originally thought they would bump into each other and something like this would happen but i prefer if they stayed friends. Unlikely Kal and Veil would meet now they have split across the continent. -

Nin vs Hoid would be funny....so very funny. Szeths revenge will be epic and bloody. Kaladin vs Lift, she steals his food and he chases her and she 'slips' away. -
A story told at a bar... * spoilers maybe?*
AerionBFII replied to Grimn's topic in Stormlight Archive
I thought it was Hoid... and The water was a Shardpool. -
Anti-Hero!
-
i've noticed that too... but still better than having to read

WOW! Amazing thread guys learnt so much!! I have a few questions! 1. Honor = Surgebinding Odium = Voidbinding Cultivation = Old Magic? 2. Could somebody give me an explanation on the difference between, physical, Spiritual and Cognitive worlds? 3. Do we know which type of Feruchemic/Twinborn ability Hoid uses to 'know where he has to be'? 4. Did he have it prior to Well of Ascension? 5.Who are Jon Snows parents?

The proper timing for the big reveal in WoR epilogue
AerionBFII replied to king of nowhere's topic in Stormlight Archive
For a second I thought she was back when pattern used Jasnahs voice to spook Tyn, I almost died. I really missed her when she died but I was resigned to it. It would have been great if she came back but coming back and interacting with Hoid?!?!?! Best. Scene. Ever. I'm usually against sudden returns from death but I think she has a lot to offer to the story and it was essential for shallans growth. -
Probably his usual background schemes, good catch all the times I've read SA ive never picked this up!! I think everything he does has some deeper purpose. I can't recall how far a long in the book this is? Was it around the time he met with Kal? Maybe he was teaching them to dance??
-
I think he'd be more like Hoid with a British accent, a wondering interfering nuisance haha

I can't wait to see Hav and Kaladin have a reunion i wonder how Hav will react to Kaladin and his new position as KR. As soon as i saw him in WOR it was the first thing i thought of upon hearing his name. I think he is loyal to Amaram but most likely will side with Amaram against Kaladin not because he is a bad person but because he wont believe the 'rumors'. Here we see loyalty taken to a fault but i think eventually he will join Kaladin. I think the training of thinking "Them" and "us" is more of a coping mechanism and helps Kaladin not destroy himself over the killing we all know how he views that.

What happened/will happen to Eshonai
AerionBFII replied to missionaryofgod's topic in Stormlight Archive
Her sister Venli will gain command of the Listeners and continue their research to discover more of the forms and continue to wreak havoc. Eshonai will awaken feeling more herself and will realize what she has done and she will try to fix it by joining Dalinar 'eventually' maybe in another book or two. She will mostly begin an inspiring and soul searching journey to rediscover herself. -
Loveable Characters you actually don't care about....
AerionBFII replied to a topic in Stormlight Archive
