    I think it bears similarities, if you want to see a true rip off check out Game of thrones, basically every event is from British history. Not that I'm complaining it's just inspiration, yeah Mistborn seemed very medical European, AOL seemed early New York to me SA was based off Korea with Prussian style uniforms but is so incredibly unique story and worldbuilding. I think if you try hard enough you can spot similarities between any culture and a fantasy Series.

    Yeah it doesn't seem consistent. It's just been bugging me and the fact that he is not Taln but speaks about the Heralds so familiarly. Completely off topic and chancing the risk of sounding stupid could somebody explain Miles from AOL abilities to me? I know that he's a double gold twinborn, since he has feruchemy gold and allomancy gold this ability allows him to compound and get much more Out of his metals it's just the process that confuses me. Does he store his health in his feruchemy gold then burn it using allomancy? Or does he burn gold the place it in his golden feruchemy.?

    Does anybody else think it's strange how Shallan was able to understand the man named 'Taln. He was described as speaking perfect Alethi yet Dalinar and Elhokar didn't understand him?

    Out in November IIRC if it doesn't have the characters Strength in the One Power i will be very disappointed, it was one of the most frequently asked questions to BS and JR. Brandon did mention once that they were in the notes.

    Hmmmm the Herald Kalak mentioned that he had died before in previous Desolations yet presumably his Honorblade remained bonded.

    If anything Szeth seemed at a disadvantage during his fight with Kal, his Honorblade remained stationary in Swordform, it took ten heartbeats to summon,he was unable to heald Shardblade inflicted wounds and consumed Stormlight at a much faster rate. I've always harbored the suspicion that the Honorblades were superior than normal Shardblades but we wont really see what/if any more functions until it is wielded by a Herald. On the otherhand Brandon always puts emphasis on perception so maybe Szeth was actually restricting the Honorblades full powers by his perception, Szeth believes it takes ten heartbeats to summon therefore it takes ten heartbeats to summon. the same with the wounds Kal inflicted. I would honestly find it very odd if the Knights Radiant with the use of the Nahel Bond were actually superior to Honorblades, there must be something we are missing. When it's finally revealed i can see a "FACE PALM" in the works.

    Is there a way to force Spren to bond? The Parshendi used to hum/sing to attract the right spren to change their form during a Highstorm but now they capture the Spren in Gem Stones. Do you think the Son's of Honor or the Ghostbloods are going to make a type of Surgebinder?

    My bad i got mixed up.. he knows Kal killed the Shardbearer who came after Amaram but i don't think he knows that the Shardbearer was Shallans brother. Maybe he's the one who lets it slip or IIRC Amaram said he was on his way to Urithiru so maybe the tale that he lied and didn't 'earn' his shards gets out and she puzzles it out....

    I don't think she is a Worldhopper but I think she has been dabbling with some unwholesome elements. She seems to be very well informed about the forms and their abilities, now that Eshonai is MIA I think she will be I control of the Listeners.

    I agree I'm hoping their time together in the chasm will help sooth that but like we've established she becomes a little short sighted when her family is involved. Balat, jushu and whikim (not sure how it's spelt) all have their faults but she seems to gloss over them, understandable that's what being family is but she always idolised Helaran and I think she will see the fact that Dalinar and Kal didn't tell her as a betrayal. Brandon has always said that he is fond of conflict in relationships.

    I hope so. Shallan seems to have put him on a pedestal but i'll always remember him as slaughtering Kals team. ~call me bias~

    OMG agreed on my reread i found myself a little annoyed with her again, i dont hate her i just find her a little exasperating. I think you are spot on with your analysis about her blaming pattern and ignoring Helaran and the Skybreakers! Ignoring issues seems to be a running theme for her, Ignoring her brothers... oh he's not so bad he just enjoys watching and participating in slaughtering household pets but it's not his fault.. I'll poison then throttle my father to death.........but i'll hold it against Jasnah for killing those men who tried to kill and rape us... Tyn attacked me and ill kill her...........but it's not okay for Amaram to kill my brother who tried to kill him. How dare Kaladin insult Adolin using words he doesn't understand.... it wont stop me from doing it to anybody who disagrees with me. I completely agree getting your crack filled is an important part of the Nahel Bond.

    The Seventeenth sharders were mislead, Demoux is a dope and i like Galladon but i wouldn't bet on him in a battle of smarts with Hoid who, by happenstance is a master of disguises and very knowledgeable about the different planets, they barely seem to know the language. I believe the ability that lets Hoid know where to be involves Feruchemy which i doubt those three have which leads me to believe they are mindlessly trying to find Hoid the person not following the events of importance. From the Interlude they have no idea where he is from the way they were saying "where are you roamer" and from the first Letter Hoid describes them as: This to me makes it seem he's dodged them quite effortlessly by the way he uses the words 'still lost' and by the way even if they did manage to capture him he's the strongest person in the Cosmere excluding the Shards. Good luck trying to get in his way.

    The people of Hearthstone don't really strike me as the type to clamber to help. If I recall it was said they were terrified and a little in awe of Roshone. i think they are also in the midst of a weeping, so not much stormlight and I can't see him whipping out his abilities and lashing Roshone to the moon. I would pay good money to see an interaction between Kal and Jasnah when they have no idea who the other is.

    I thought that was the false trail he set for the 17th Sharders You could be right though but I always thought it was just the investiture. You are right though it sounds fishy There is something strange about the horneater peaks lake that they swim in. I'm very interested in the 'place of the gods' that they sometimes see.
