  1. Granted: In order for him to stick around, you have to live the rest of your life as a mountain man. I wish I could take a nap.
  2. Granted, but now he only writes and publishes all of his books in Ket- an obscure, dying language spoken in central Siberia by only a few hundred people (true story- Google it). English translations are painstakingly slow in coming and are poorly executed. I wish for a domesticated giraffe along with a custom-made giraffe saddle so that I could ride it around.
  3. Granted. The answer for all of them is always "RAFO." Reiterating my daughter's wish edited in above, and I quote: "Oh! I wish I had a Pink Panther swimsuit!"
  4. Granted. You can now shoot small jets of fire out of your eyeballs, however, the jets of fire never stop shooting out of your eyeballs. I wish that whenever I am driving on the road the cars in front of me will always change lanes and get out of my way. EDIT: Bonus wish from my adorable three-year old daughter. She just exclaimed, completely unrelated to anything that we were talking about or that was going on, "Oh! I wish I had a Pink Panther swimsuit!"
  5. Just popping in to say that unfortunately, I died too late in the other game to join this one. However, I hope those of you here will uphold the noble ideals of the Contribution Crusade! Don't allow people to slide into inactivity without explanation! Let those who post the most live a few extra cycles! Let's keep everyone active and productive in this game! Plus, anyone who does decide to join the crusade gets to add this really awesome banner to their signature. v
  6. Gee thanks for lynching me on my birthday guys. First time I've ever died by lynch, too. Here's a little farewell RP for you though: Wannan stood up, gazing out the window at the setting sun. He had seen the whispered conversations, the pointing fingers, the suspicious glances, he knew what was coming. He had come back to spend his last few hours with his wife and their newborn daughter. He turned back to them and kissed his daughter on the forehead and his wife on the lips. "I'm... going out," he said to his wife. "Is everything alright?" she asked, sensing a bit of his mood. "Yeah, everything is fine, there's just something I need to do. Don't worry, it's nothing that I haven't done before." He smiled, then turned and left their home. He looked towards Dalinar's command building, but turned and went another way. He strode out of camp a short ways, to a distinctive outcropping covered with rockbuds- their usual drop point. Once there, he concealed a letter that he had scribed earlier that day. His compatriots would know to look for it there. The letter read: To my fellow conspirators, You will have to carry on our work without me. Thank you to those of you who tried to save me, but don't worry, I knew this day would come when we started down this path. The diagram foretold the sacrifices I would have to make to achieve our goals, and I accept them. It is imperative that Highprince Dalinar be brought down low, for his own good, as well as that of all of Roshar. Sadeas may not be the greatest of men, but he will serve the world better than Dalinar. -Wannan PS: Jindm n difnf aawee dom dmosam. I qwnww as n idndn qwrin zxxt indiooxinixn. Beidnc idne ndc. Good luck. Letter deposited, Wannan turned and headed back into camp. This time he headed straight towards the center of camp- to Dalinar's command structure. He strode right in the building before the guards could stop him, and found Dalinar with his sons, studying a map of the shattered plains. Adolin stretched his hand out to the side in a telltale manner, but Dalinar waved him down. "Brightlord Wannan," Dalinar said, "What is the meaning of this?" "I have come to turn myself in," Wannan said, meeting the Blackthorne's gaze without flinching. "I have been Sadeas's faithful servant from the beginning, working secretly to achieve his goals." Dalinar Kholin stared back, his gaze hardening. "You realize I will have to have you executed, right? Your confession will not save you from your own treachery." "I know. And I am not afraid. The deathspren and I- We are starting to become good friends, we are. It will be good to be reunited with them." edit: formatting
  7. I did, on Silverdragon as I said. @Clanky and @Paranoid King- I can't say I blame you, the odds are stacked against me, and in your place I would do the exact same thing. I've done so before, and lynched an innocent player despite their protests just because the odds were against them (Shiv in LG2).
  8. Basically right, except that I DID get the notice that I was uncorrupted on night 4. So Clanky would have had to have been corrupted day 4. EDIT: I missed Araris's request on my first read through. My main suspicion (the aforementioned 75% one) was Honey Badger. He hasn't posted very much this game, but enough to not appear inactive, and a lot of his earlier posts seemed to be geared towards causing confusion and steering people astray, mixed with affirmations that people were probably innocent (which, if Honey is an eliminator, he would know of course). Plus his vote on Maill seemed pretty suspicious at the time. But I've been watching him and now I'm not as sure as I used to be. I'd say a 50/50 chance he's an eliminator. My only other suspicion right now is Shallan, who I voted for, simply because of the way she has been going after me the past couple cycles. It reads more as an eliminator trying to hop about a lynch train before it gets going than a genuine suspicion of me.
  9. So in short, I'm the lead suspect because Clanky found out he was corrupted right after targeting me. Well that's... Unlucky. And once again, the only defense I have to offer is a lackluster one: everything Clanky said is true, to the best of my knowledge. He did contact me, told me he knew an artifabrian who sorta trusted me but didn't want to reveal their role, and I was notified that an artifabrian had targeted me two nights ago. I had considered that Clanky might have been talking about himself, but I was willing to take his word at face value and assume it was someone else. I told them/him that I was a humble brightlord (before I announced it in the main thread) and that the artifabrian's efforts were best directed elsewhere. That was the end of their conversation. The only defense I can offer is: if I were an eliminator, why the storms would I corrupt Clanky right after all this went down? Not only would it immediately make Clanky suspect me (as has been shown), but a corrupt artifabrian is just as dangerous to the eliminators as an uncorrupted one. Even corrupted, Clanky can still coordinate with people to guarantee they are corrupted on a given night/day, so they know exactly what their power will do and can plan accordingly (although it is unfortunate that Clanky revealed his role to the group, as now he's probably not long for this world, unless we still have an uncorrupted guardian out there). Also, if I were an eliminator, and I was worried about Clanky, why would I not just have him killed instead? I guess that does leave the possibility that Clanky was telling the truth and leave the real artifabrian alive, so maybe that was the best option. No, if I were an eliminator I would have told Clanky something along the line of "oh thank you! I'm an ardent and I think I have been corrupted so can you please have the artifabrian keep targeting me so that I can continue scanning?" It would keep the artifabrian occupied and allow me to play Clanky and lead him around by the nose- a far better situation than the one I currently find myself in. No, I'm not an eliminator, I'm just unlucky. But if you feel the need to lynch me in order to prove it then I guess I can't stop you.
  10. Woah, wait, what? *Goes and checks posts that he missed* *Finds them to be not very informative* Well that was... not very informative. Clanky, care to explain to me why I'm a conspirator very, very unlucky? Normally in situations like these, the expected response would be for me to cast a counter vote on my accuser, but I actually don't think Clanky is an eliminator. Instead, I'm going to vote for Shallan. Twice in a row now she has been quick to vote for me for what I find to be shaky reasoning (Seonid has also done the same, but I feel his reasons have been a little more firm). You suspect me because I misunderstood who Wilson was talking about in a PM and I accused the wrong person because of it? Even Sart withdrew his vote from me when I realized my error and explained it. EDIT: Also, tomorrow is my birthday (8/31). You guys wouldn't lynch me on my birthday, would you? EDIT2: typos
  11. Alright, I finally got some time to look things over, and my suspicions are all out of whack, so I'll be setting those aside for now and reevaluating them. But in the meantime, I think the Contribution Crusade needs to be called into action. I've noticed 4 people in particular who we really need to hear from: 1st is Bort. He's usually much more active in these games, but as he has said, he has been sick, so we can cut him some slack. And he did just post earlier today, so hopefully we'll be seeing more from him. 2nd is Feligon. He has only posted ONCE since the game started, about a week ago. But at least when he did he cast a vote, so that's something. 3rd is Venture Mistborn. She has only posted 3 times since the game started, and it was also about a week ago. She did cast a vote, too. 4th is TheSilverDragon. Apparently its only his second game, but he hasn't posted in more than a week and his most substantive post only contained a little bit of RP. He has not yet voted. So since I already announced my role, I don't mind telling you that I'll be casting my bright lord vote for TheSilverDragon. I know many of you have been hesitant to join the Contribution Crusade with you day-vote, considering your suspicions to be more important, but I call on any Brightlords/Brightladies out there to join with me with your night votes! Together we can let the inactives know that we will not tolerate their lack of contributions!
  12. I did not know that. Interesting.w (Also, this is the off topic thread, so you don't need to say "/offtopic". You also don't need to color your text blue or red or green or whatever if you don't want to. You can if you want to though, nobody is stopping you. white text is also welcome!
  13. So I just noticed something, and wanted to comment on it, but didn't have any place where my comment would fit. So I thought, "Hey, why don't we have an off-topic thread? We've got a pretty awesome little sub-community of Sanderfans here, we should have a place where we can just chat about whatever." Hence this thread. If the moderators/admins don't like the idea of this, they are welcome to merge it with another thread or delete it or lock it or whatever. Anyway, the thing I just noticed, is that my Elantris game (LG12) holds the record of being the largest game as judged by length of the main thread! 66 Pages and 1,301 replies! It's currently only the second most viewed game (29,108 views) after LG2: The Devil's Den (38,480 views) I wouldn't be surprised if MR8 ends up passing my game up though. It's only 4 cycles in and already its at 31 pages. QF1: Jeskeri Mysteries holds the record for being the smallest game- 6 pages and 118 replies. It is currently also the least-viewed game, with 4,037 views.
  14. Whew! After an 11 hour work day yesterday and 9 1/2 hours of laying stone today I am pooped. And there is 10 minutes left in the cycle so there is no way I'd have time to do any sort of analysis so I won't be casting a vote. A couple quick comments though: @Emerald: I hope for the best for you and your mom! @Clanky: Actually the 75% certainty comment was NOT about Sart, but about a different player. I'm still watching that person, but my certainty has dropped to about 60% right now. As for Sart, Yes I was basing a large part of my suspicion on Wilson's suspicion of him, but not all. Once I realized I had misunderstood who she was talking about, that cut out a lot of my reasons for voting for him. I'm not convinced that Sart is a villager, but as of right now I don't have enough reason to vote for him, let alone try to lead a lynch mob after him. Again, my apologies to Sart and to everyone for the confusion. edit: color
  15. Re: _@Sart Real quick, on my phone. Just double checked. Wilson said that Sart had just apologized to her for his aggressive behavior towards Kipper the previous night. She then went on to say that it struck her as odd that a villager would feel the need to apologize for that. That's what she said. If it is untrue, then either Wilson misspoke or she intentionally lied to me. Edit: just triple checked, and now I think I'm mistaken. Wilson only said "he" after she told me Sart knew her role, but now I think she may have been referring to Stink, who we had been talking about earlier. That makes a lot more sense actually. My most sincere apologies to Sart . I'm going to have to look things over again very thoroughly when I have time before casting a vote.
  16. What do I have to say for myself? Well first of all, I agree with you completely. We need more discussion, and we need everyone to chip in *coughcoughContributionCrusadecough*Second, I was told by my boss just a couple hours ago that I have to go into work 3 hours early tomorrow, and I'll be working all day, probably not anywhere near a computer, so this will probably be my last chance to post anything of significance until maybe an hour or so before the end of the cycle. I'm not sure what else there is to say in my defense that I didn't say already yesterday. Wilson told me that she trusted me more than anybody else- of course she could have been playing mind games me- she's been known to do that, but if felt genuine. She immediately followed that declaration by revealing lots of information to me, all of which has proven true. She told me she suspected Sart, because of how he was behaving in their PM- apparently feeling guilt at how he went after Kipper. I would be more specific about that and why she was suspicious but that was all she told me. Unfortunately this all happened in our PM so you only have my word to go off of. I have been hoping that she shared these suspicions with someone else, so that they could confirm what I'm saying, but unfortunately I think the eliminators just killed the one person who could have best verified what I'm saying. Please notice that before he died Kipper DID verify everything I said about learning Wilson's role and her efforts to find an artifabrian because she feared she had been corrupted. I'm still serious about the Contribution Crusade. In fact, situations like this (where the MOST vocal players are the ones getting lynched) are a large part of why I think the Crusads is important. But at a certain point, you're suspicions grow large enough that they have to take precedence. And this is one of those times for me. I'm still convinced that Sart is an eliminator. Placing one vote- even a key vote- on an eliminator does not in any way clear him. What better way to get people to trust you than to put a deciding vote on a fellow eliminator? Anyway, it's past midnight here, and I'm tired, and I have to wake up in 5 hours. I don't know what else there is to say that I haven't said already. Except maybe my role. I'm a village brightlord. No Shardplate or anything. So if people decide to lynch me then at least you know that you won't be losing an important role. And when it is shown that I'm innocent, remember what I said. Edit: I just glanced over yesterday's posts, and would like to point out that not only did Kipper (who we now know to be good) verify many of the things I said in regards to what Wilson and I discussed, he also said that he suspected Sart as well. And it sounded like he had potential information about another eliminator, but unfortunately, now we'll never know what it was. Anyway, I'm off to bed for real now. The next time I get the chance to post anything of significance it will be too late to change anything this cycle.
  17. Couriers submit their actions of who to spy on during the night phase, so his example works. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing for sure the eliminator roles until after we've killed them, so there's not much we can do about it one way or the other. And now for some RP from me, just because everyone else is doing it. Herowannabe turned on the TV and was shocked to see on the news report. "Two major metropolitan eras had been completely destroyed in what officials are calling the greatest act of Terrorism this decade," the reporter was saying. "In each case the destruction was caused by a lone individual, though officials believe that the incidents are not directly related. We go now to an interview with citizen Sandon Branderson, who was an eye witness to the Tri-State destruction." "MY HANDS! SHE ATE MY HANDS! WHY!?!?!?" "Disturbing news, indeed. Officials say that both culprits are still at large, and encourage everyone to be on the lookout for individuals with keyboard-shaped bruising on their foreheads, but not to engage them personally. Back to you, Tom." "Huh," Herowannabe said, then went back to eating his Cheerios.
