  1. Let's see if I can fix the split in the thread: Granted. You also had the uncontrollable urge to expose yourself whenever you're in public. The rest of your life is plagued with charges of public indecency and heavy fines. Granted. On your way home from the book store a would-be scientist flashes you in public and the image becomes connected to Elantris in your mind, and for the rest of you're life whenever you try to read Elantris you have flashbacks of the scientist's indecency. I wish I could regenerate lost body parts, like fingers.
  2. Just have to post a comment to say that I've been coming back every week or two to see your new SandersonSunday postings and to look through some of your old ones, too. Don't stop! Your work is fantastic! And this one is one of my favorite pictures of Vin I've ever seen. Bravo!
  3. Granted, though the amount of Inspiration you exude is directly proportional to the amount of Perspiration you exude. I wish my life was like the movie "Groundhog Day," where I repeat certain days over and over again, except that I have full control over which days repeat and when and how often.
  4. Brandon's doing another signing tonight down in Orem, so you've got a second chance. Also, for my fellow Utah residents, if you are interested in the Mistborn: House War boardgame that is on Kickstarter right now, I will be doing a demo of the game this Saturday using the playtest kit. For more information, check out this post: http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php?topic=8437.0 [/blatant promotion]
  5. Hey Zas, it was cool meeting you at the signing tonight. See you around in the future! :)

  6. Here's what my wife and I asked and what Brandon said (lots of Warbreaker questions- I just finished a reread of it the other day so that was on my mind) Warbreaker spoilers: Mistborn Spoilers, up through Shadows of Self:
  7. I'm here in line right now. For anyone else here, I'm the guy with the baby that is army-crawling all over the place. Come say hi.
  8. This seems to be as good a place as any to post this. I have spoken with Crafty Games and with my friendly neighborhood game store and gotten approval from both, so here goes. I had the great privilege of being one of the playtesters for this game. It's a lot of fun to play and does a great job at capturing the scheming aspect of the noble houses in Mistborn. I imagine there are a lot of you out there who would love the chance to give the game a try without needing to wait until next April, and if you live in or near Salt Lake City, UT, here's your chance: This coming Saturday, July 2nd, at noon I will be demoing Mistborn: House War using my playtest copy of the game. This will be happening at Game Night Games in Salt Lake City, UT. More details can be found here: http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php… I look forward to scheming with (and plotting against) some of you! We'll take pictures and post about our experience afterwards. ----- ALSO, for a few months now we've been successfully running a Mistborn Adventure Game campaign at the same game store. We're at a point where it would be easy to add more players (and split into multiple groups if needs be), so if anyone in the area would like to try out the RPG, here's your chance. And to make things even sweeter, I have a few sets of allomancy dice left to give to players who join our group, including the Kickstarter exclusive dice (Lerasium, Duralumin, and Electrum) to give away to players who join our group! So if you missed out on the allomancy dice kickstarter, here's a good chance to get ahold of the exclusive dice! More info here: http://www.crafty-games.com/forum/index.php… If you have any questions, I encourage you to ask them in the respective threads that I linked above, though I'll be checking here frequently, too.
  9. Just bumping this thread for a quick update: The other week we finished the Beasts of Burden adventure from the Skaa Supplement. This Wednesday (6/8/16) we will be starting the Justice, Like Ash adventure from the Terris Supplement. And of course we have lots of overarching storyline stuff happening in the background, including mysterious cryptexes with ominous contents and people willing to kill to get them. We are always willing to add new players, and the offer for free dice still stands to anyone who wants to join and play at least a handful of sessions with us. Just drop me a line of you're interested!
  10. Congrats Hael! I hereby do bestow upon you all the rights, blessings, powers, and authorities befitting a Contribution Crusader. May thy posts be plentiful and may thy sword axe/spear-thingy cleave the souls of lurkers and inactive alike.
  11. Thanks for the nomination Haelbarde, but I am WAY too busy. I haven't even had time to play in a SE game since the Anniversary Game finished 3 months ago.
  12. Awesome! Meta should definitely have first opportunity to do it, if he wants to. Barring that, I'd have to put my vote on Wyrm, Kas, or Maill,
  13. Just thought I'd pop in to say this has been a great success. We have 4 players (not counting myself) who attend regularly and I've had nothing but positive feedback from them so far. We have also had a few others see the Mistborn paraphernalia and get interested as well. We are still meeting at Game Night Games, officially on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, around 6pm. If you would like to join us, you are still more than welcome to!
  14. (Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I wanted to get the word spread to my fellow Sanderson Eliminators (Sanderson Eliminationers? Sanderson Eliminatists?) Practionioners of the Art of Sanderson Elimination. @Moderators: If there is a better place for this post, feel free to move it or delete it as necessary). I just wanted to let everyone know that one week from today I will be starting a Mistborn Adventure Game campaign in Salt Lake City, UT, open to anyone who wants to come. Plus, thanks to Crafty-Games, people who play will get a free set of Mistborn Allomancy dice. So if you live in/near Salt Lake City and are even remotely interested in playing some Mistborn RPG and/or want some awesome Mistborn dice for free, you should check out this post.
  15. Just bumping this thread to note that the day is almost here- 1 week away! I've already got a few people interested so if you're on the fence about this, you should come! Mistborn-adventuring fun will definitely be had!
  16. Thanks Meta and good game everyone! Woot! Koloss-Herwynbe made it into the writeup! Totally playing as Terris the Koloss in the next Scadrial-based game I play.
  17. @Meta it looks like you missed the last minute vote changes. Not that it affects the outcome any.[/famouslastwords] *dies* Edit: I'm totally coming back as a Koloss to exact my revenge.
  18. Well last minute confession time I guess: I'm not an eliminator. I'm a village smoker. I have revealed this to nobody until now, and up until this cycle I have kept my cloud off every night. The reason I never said anything about my role sooner is that in short I agreed with Kasimir when he suspected that at least one smoker was an eliminator. Since I knew I was a village smoker I kept quiet about my role since revealing I was a smoker would just muddy the waters even more and make it harder to find the eliminator smoker(s). Looks like that didn't matter much anyway. The reason I switched and decided to trust Sart is that I think he's lying about being a smoker. I think he's our mistborn. If we have any active Lurchers out there I suggest protecting Sart or one of the two confirmed players tonight. Good luck team village!
  19. Part of the reason is that the Eliminators have proven they're not inactive. They've never missed getting a kill order in and they've managed to control the lynch enough that aside from the freak day 1 lynch of Lopen none have them have died. Also all of their kill decisions have been tactically sound decisions. Plus, if one of the Eliminators is an eliminator then they have also been submitting their soothe orders most every cycle. I suspect that at least 2 of the Eliminators are on our list of "active" players. Elkanah fits the bill of someone who has been active, but who has managed to fly low and stay under everyone's radar all game. Perfect place for an Eliminator to be. Second, I also trust Sart to some extent. More than anyone else right now, at least. So rather than look for an alternate lynch target to compete with his suggestion I felt it better to join with him in trying to lynch Elk. We're at the point in the game where we can't afford to spread out votes around, unfortunately. We need at least a 2 vote lead on whoever we're trying to lynch in order to ensure that the Eliminators don't muck up the vote with rioting/soothing/vote swings. Edit: typo
