    Well you couldn't have chosen a much better and, might I say, ambitious book to jump into fantasy with. Welcome to the forum! Hope this is just the start of many years of enjoyment from the fantasy genre for you.

    Yeah I was actually worried this could be an elaborate ruse by the inquisitor. Have her tell peng she was snapped, attack her to prove that she has pewter, and suddenly she's an unquestioned spy within the "accepted" group. Added bonus is that anyone claiming to be the snapped afterwards would look suspicious. It just seemed extraordinarily unlikely and lucky that both Shiv and Cassie claimed to be snapped at the same time AND the inquisitor chose to attack Cassie. Not sure what the logistics are though in if the inquisitor can attempt to spike one his/her own like that. Edit: ninja'd by Hero and question answered so just ignore me.

    Dragons breath rainbow fire! why did I not know this? Yeah, not perfect yet. Breath is proving difficult to depict in a way that appeals to everyone.

    I like the iridescent look and I was going for something similar to that at first. The problem is when you start shrinking it down to around 150x150 like the profile icons are you can't really see the colors and it just looks like someone smoking. I had to use more bold colors and designs to make it obvious what you are seeing in the profile picture.

    It's called polar coordinates in PS as well, located under the Distort category. I use it when making the light beam effect from the 17th shard icon and for Metacognition's icon.

    I only recently joined in early January and in just a month I've noticed the boards have new posts more often than when I started. Seems you can't leave for more than a couple hours and the Stormlight threads have more posts than I can even catch up on. I have a feeling its a combination of WoR's eminent release combined with all the pre released material that has caused an influx of new members. Wanting to chat about the new chapters was actually what got me to finally setup an account.

    Most of the stuff I shared is intended specifically for profile icons so are lower resolution. Your vectors will be much more helpful for people wanting to make various other pictures like backgrounds than mine are. Good work by the way.

    I've been playing around with ideas for warbreaker since there aren't really any symbols i can think of to pull from it for an icon. Breath is the central magic so this was the best idea I could come up with. Thoughts? Edit: A little manipulation of a picture I found online that fit the idea well

    It's looking like there really isn't a way to make a cat with a spike through one of their eyes not look freaky awesome. Even if the cat you start with is adorable. Edit: I also feel very sadistic after doing it, even though I'm not actually sticking a spike through their eye.

    Making the soulstamps stylized is difficult because of how intricate the designs already are. I decided to try and give it the indented, smokey look described when one is used on a person. This is what I came up with. It looks alright in a large background image, but lost some of the effect when shrunk to profile icon size. It doesn't look too bad though: As always though, just the simple design looks the best:

    Hm, I do like the white on purple but I had actually just meant a straight line done the center with purple on white on one side and white on purple on the other as opposed to the actual yin yang shape

    A truly good book won't be ruined by knowing the ending but it can definitely diminish the wow factor if plot twists are an important part of the writing. I seriously doubt I'd have had quite as many "oh snap!" moments (no pun intended) reading the mistborn series had I known everything about The Lord Ruler beforehand.

    I agree with Quillion. Peng is the most incorruptible and has the most knowledge so I'm fine with following his lead when we finally vote but I think we need more actual debating and discussion before Peng puts in his vote. At the moment we aren't really gaining any knowledge because we're not calling each other out and discussing why we suspect each other which is supposed to be a big part of this game. Doing so will also give Peng more information to work with when making his final decision.

    When you click multi-quote, it should create a little box at the bottom right of your screen. Keep pressing multiquote on multiple posts and it will add them to that box. Once you've selected all the posts you want to respond to, click the reply to all button and it will create a reply box that has quotes from all those different posts. Makes it easy to respond to multiple people without having to make multiple posts.

    Newest set of profile icons featuring each of the Knights Radiant's glyph inscribed on their respective gemstones. You can download any of these files for your personal profile in addition to a number of other glyphs by clicking HERE. There are a few alternate versions of the gemstones as well.

    I scrubbed all the psd files of any textures that aren't freely mine to distribute. I can't guarantee my style of building layers will make sense to anyone. Some of the layers I didn't end up using or aren't the same as when I exported the glyphs originally so might be a little confusing but here they are: 17th Shard Icon || Allomancy || Feruchemy I would appreciate it if you would post any new icons you plan on sharing with the community that were made from these psd's within this same thread so they are easy to find. If you have any questions, please let me know. Edit: GIMP can open psd's while Photoshop does not natively open gimp files (to the best of my knowledge) so for being most widely useable, I just uploaded psd's

    Yup, use them however you like. A part of me would like them to stay within the 17th shard but it really won't bother me if they start showing up other places too. while I don't mind sharing the psd's personally, I'm not sure if I technically should for some of the sets. Many of the background layers I used (especially for allomancy and feruchemy sets) were from a texture pack I bought for my photography company. They are proprietary images so I don't think I should be sharing Psd files with the textures in them for anyone to download.I'll take a look at the various sets later today and see which ones I'm comfortable with sharing publicaly. Was there a particular set you wanted the psd for?
