  1. I remember (expensively) expediting a copy of A Dance with Dragons from amazon.de when they sent out some copies early. It does seem to happen quite often with them. Or really with every book release that I anticipate, I hear about several stores in Europe selling them early.
  2. Whoa, here's a person who is currently reading it that I overlooked on Goodreads at first. They provide a list of the ten Surges https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/808508133?book_show_action=true&page=1
  3. Want to give us a spoiler free review?
  4. I believe by this logic we can be sure that Dalinar was not holding a dead Adolin or Renarin in that other Glimpse.
  5. "I knew it. When we have this figured out, the king of all Herdaz, he will say to me, 'Lopen, you are glowing, and this is impressive. But you can also fly. For this, you may marry my daughter.'" Whaaat
  6. Awesome. The Shallan sketches are always my favorite.
  7. This. I usually go with ebooks unless they have maps or appendices. And Stormlight Archive has pictures on top of that. I can't justify getting the ebook in this case.
  8. I agree with you and Chaos on TWoK. This review got me much more hyped than the TOR review.
  9. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/02/book-review-of-words-of-radiance-brandon-sanderson-non-spoiler
  10. And here's a non-review by a frail reader that seems negative at first, but really isn't http://yetistomper.blogspot.com/2014/02/words-of-radiance-is-unreadable.html
  11. Found another Goodreads review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/469759403?book_show_action=true&page=1 hype
  12. I'm glad I saw this post! I typically look at all the art early on (the last Harry Potter book was the only one where I resisted). I'll try to resist for WoR.
  13. I ran into a similar situation with one of the WoT books. I decided to skip the signing because I didn't want to get spoiled.
  14. I feel like if one was actually dead, Peter wouldn't let Tor put this one up.
  15. Dalinar knelt beneath a fracturing sky, holding his son. Hmmm
  16. I wish this forum would shut down AFTER release. As a tax accountant, I can't think of a worse time for this book to come out. I'll hardly be able to read the book for a month and a half, yet I'll be at my computer, with this board just a click away...
  17. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/02/reflections-of-radiance-spoiler-free-reactions-to-brandon-sandersons-words-of-radiance I don't think this has been posted yet. Speculation here is sure to go crazy.
  18. Ignoring Brandon to read Brandon...I guess he can't get too offended
  19. Usually when I'm looking forward to a book as much as this one, I start searching for reviews about a month before release. It seems some reviewers are getting ARC's or digital copies of this book, though they're not saying much until release. They do seem to like it, however. http://kurtsperspective.blogspot.com/2014/01/finished-reading-words-of-radiance-book.html https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/838183520?book_show_action=true&page=1
  20. I'm gonna steal your sig. I assume you don't mind, but if you do just let me know and I'll do something else.
