1-10, I believe. Noted.

Hmph.

In theory, a Master could use it four times. And actually then get ten votes, not eight, because I can't count.
-
Usually, yes. I know that Proficient in Hyperbole is an exception (being able to have 8 votes would be a bit broken). I don't think there are any others.

Aman, unto you I return your heart. I've had it long enough, and it's far less valuable than the one I've since come to have. May its seemingly kind facade fool those who oppose you, until you choose to reveal the horror which lies within.- 636 replies

It wasn't talked about much during the game. If you want to see exactly, maybe try the Master Spreadsheet for that game. Specifically the Elevation Points tab. Have fun. (I've spent about three hours improving that tab... )
-
No. It's randomly decided. (I remember that specifically, because I really wanted the Law of Contraposition and never got it. >> *glares at Hael*)

So, we currently have 13 players. Two more have said they’ll sign up, so fifteen. This game needs at least 18 players to run, and more like 25 would be excellent. In light of that, so that we have a chance of more than the minimum number, signups will be extended until at least Saturday, April 28 (for everyone but PDT, for whom it’s late Friday night), or until we get 20-25 players. Apologies for the delay. Also, new clarifications will be added to the rules (as soon as I post this and have the opportunity to edit the OP) and will continue to be added as we (specifically, Drought; I’m kind of occupied with having spent ~10 hours so far on the spreadsheet ) go through the old thread and collect them. Lastly, if you want a better chance at getting Talent Pipes, submit recordings! I have one submission so far. And one more promised. That’s a little sad.

The Aon hung in the air, making her parents’ faces glow with divine light. Despite being almost the only tiny figures in the hall, their presences filled it, rather than being diminished. Liadan and El watched when everyone else left, when Kiireon tried to convince Edaan to renounce Odium under the sacred light. El had stayed past finding her parents for the first time. She hadn’t known exactly why, until now. A bundle was brought forward, that El hadn’t noticed until now. “This is your daughter-- our daughter,” Kiireon said. “And she needs her father.” El gasped. Back away, Liadan, she thought. She didn’t know what happened if she got too close to herself, and didn’t want to find out. They were close enough, though, to still hear them. “I…” Edaan said, staring at his daughter in a mixture of shock and the first hint of joy. “I have a child.” Kiireon laughed for the first time in too long, her clear voice chasing away some of the shadows lingering in Edaan’s face. “You have a child. Would you like to hold her?” “You aren’t afraid I might tear her apart, as I tore apart so much that you gave me?” Kiireon began untying one of his hands in response. Edaan couldn’t take his eyes from the baby. “A child,” he repeated softly. Kiireon placed her in his arms. “Come back, Edaan,” she implored. “For me and for her.” He looked up. “What’s her name?” Kiireon smiled. “Atiela.” “Atiela,” he repeated softly, while El quietly gasped. She’d forgotten. She’d thought she had remembered everything, but there had been one piece missing. Her full name. Atiela, she thought. Ati. Hope. Edaan looked up at Kiireon. El held her breath. “I love you,” he said simply. A red mist spiraled out of his chest and was sucked into the orb beside the altar, narrowly missing Liadan. Aon Omi glowed brighter and brighter until practically nothing else could be seen of the room. El and Liadan could feel the physical force pushing on their spirits. The last particle of Odium flowed out of Edaan into the orb, and Aon Omi exploded in a blaze of glory, wonder, joy, hope, and the world was set to rights. When El’s spirit recovered from the blast of pure love, everything was done. Ratel and Jonly were gone with the Odiums, the hall was clear, and Kiireon, Edaan, and Atiela were left. Kiireon and Edaan were holding hands. El was pretty sure they hadn’t let go since Kiireon first saw Edaan’s eyes clear of hatred again, and they probably weren’t going to let go for quite a while yet. El felt herself beginning to separate from Liadan. She nodded; it was time. She could find them again, now, even in her old body. And she had a few other errands to run. Liadan waved goodbye as they parted, smiling. She’d stay around for a while longer, El thought. Doing something or other. Liadan faded from view, regardless. El began to fade, too, returning to her body without a host to carry her. The last image burned into her mind before she faded completely was her parents and their child, reunited fully at last, walking together into the sunset. Happy Birthday, Wilson.

Elbereth replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I did approve of the end, yes. And you are correct, but I shall be explicit - I do not have time for this right now. Very much no. *shudders* I don't know that I'd ever have enough time to properly devote to the championships, given last year, but definitely not right now. I have no one new to nominate, but do agree that those suggested would make excellent representatives of our community.- 636 replies

You are not. Regardless of the headache. Part of the point of running this was so that all three previous GMs could enjoy the chance to play their own game. Go ahead and have fun. (And yes, I won't be handling that section, so I don't care about saying that. )

Long Game 33: Life Welcome to The University! You’ve heard about the famed institution your entire life, dreaming of attending and possibly even learning the arcane arts. Well, congratulations! You’ve finally made it. You’ll have no problem impressing the Masters enough to let you into the school, though perhaps your tuition could be high. Or it could be low. You just don’t know! All you really know is that you’re where you’ve always wanted to be, and you’re here to learn all you can. But what’s this now? Rumors abound of Skindancers in The University. But the Skindancers are all supposed to be dead, right? Apparently not, because sure enough, students and Masters alike start having problems. Most of them seem to go crazy, and the Crockery is filling up, though some even die. Although you’re no Taborlin the Great or Kvothe the Bloodless, you and a bunch of fellow students have taken it upon yourselves to solve the mystery. You’ve resolved to eliminate the Skindancers once and for all. Only then will you be able to resume your studies and learn to your little heart’s content. Good luck! Section 1: Game Basics This section entails the basics of the game like the factions and their win conditions, the cycles and order of events, and how voting works. Section 2: University Basics This section entails basics that are related directly to this game and the University. These include the currency system, social classes, lodging, admissions, insanity/The Crockery, and discipline points/The Horns. Section 3: The Arcanum The Arcanum is where all the fun happens at the University. Led by the nine Masters, there are many different fields of study in which for students to try their hands: Sympathy, Artificery, Alchemy, Naming, Rhetoric & Logic, Arithmetic, Linguistics, Physicking, and the Archives. University students do not start in the Arcanum. They are brought into the Arcanum once they have shown they have the moral fortitude necessary for a member of the Arcanum, are sponsored by a Master, and are elevated to the rank of E’lir, which is the lowest of the Arcanum ranks. Once you are in the Arcanum, you can be elevated again, through the ranks of Re’lar and El’the and potentially become a Master of a field. This section covers the ranks and elevation point system and all nine fields. Section 4: Imre Every term/full cycle, players (students and Masters alike) can go to Imre once (except for those living in the Grey Man). For the half-cycle they are in Imre, students cannot impress a Master and Masters cannot elevate students. Players cannot do any University action (use a field ability or create an item), but they can do anything in Imre. Imre has a whole host of possibilities that aren’t necessarily available at the University. There are four locations players can stop by: The Eolian, The Apothecary, Devi’s, and The Black Market. Items for sale at the Apothecary and Black Market will be given to each player going to Imre at the beginning of the cycle they are heading there. Players can also sell items and contracts on the Black Market. Contracts are sold for whatever the seller thinks they are worth. Players can only go to the Eolian once per game, and they can only go to Devi’s once per time they are in Imre. They can purchase/sell any number of items/contracts at the Black Market or the Apothecary, while supplies last. Past Clarifications This section covers the Talent Pipes, Plum Bobs, and Masters/EP/Ranks in depth, as well as a variety of other questions raised in the previous run of this game. Quick Links:

Come, children, gather round, listen to my tale Sit beside the hearth and think on love, loss, and betrayal Think upon a girl who lived twixt shadows and the light Listen to my story, as the sun falls into night El Let’s start with the girl, shall we? Once, there was a girl who hated and loved, controlled and obeyed, lost and found. She was not special for any of these things: every child is such. But she was nevertheless quite special, and her name was El. Her story begins - well, when she was born, of course. But we will move later, for now. Her birth will come in time. For the moment, let us look at her when she is twelve, and already a wanderer of worlds. That is, she was a wanderer, until she stepped into the trap which is Tyrian Falls. She lost all memory of her childhood, then. But she always searched for her lost parents: she was the apothecary apprentice, or the beloved of the local Lord, or the daughter of the town messenger, or an orphan begging in the streets. Always lost. Always searching. She stayed there for a long, long time, remembering herself for an instant every time the town fell to the Spiked, and then forgetting, over and over and over again. Then, one iteration, something was different. Something changed. And she drew the attention of the maker of Tyrian Falls, and was rescued by Death. Death Now. What do you want, child? El hears, still in the chamber to which she was brought when this… person… had rescued her. “I…” she says, hand rising to the locket about her neck. “I want to find my parents again.” As an afterthought, she adds, “And to see the worlds.” To find your parents, even though they… well. As you wish, godchild. Then El knows what to do, somehow. “Thank you.” Dominion Courtesy of Droughtbringer in LG29. Darkness. El alone is illuminated, smiling up at the figure shadowed in the gloom. “You cannot control me, Dominion,” she says clearly and calmly. “Will you accept my offer?” A feeling of reluctance, then assent. A hand reaches out to clasp El’s, and she inhales sharply. Her eyes gleam with new power. She smiles. Then she leaves, hiding herself in the place already prepared. She lays herself down on a slab of grey marble, closes her eyes, and sends out her spirit with one desire: find them. She barely remembers her parents, now, despite being freed. Too much has been forgotten, too many times. She’s not even sure how to start, but she must. She’s pulled into another spirit, nearby in time and space, already weakened and opened by the influence of another power. She cannot affect the body, much, but she can watch. Its name is Sandhya. Sandhya “Evening”, “Dusk”, Hindi Scadrial - LG23 El gasped at the shock of death. She rose from Sandhya’s body slowly, watching the blood spilling out. She hadn’t been in the body for long - a week or two, perhaps? But… it had been a life, and it was gone. She hadn’t even been able to do anything. She couldn’t do anything right now, not without understanding her powers. She hated that she couldn’t save the girl, but there was nothing she could do. And she still had absolutely no notion of how to find her parents. There was a certain quality, here among the crowd that had watched Sandhya die, that reminded her of Tyrian Falls. A paranoia that could not be vanquished. But she could make nothing of the feeling. She looked down at the body below her, still spilling out its lifeblood. She concentrated and cast out for another spirit that attracted her, in the hope that the next would be more useful in her search. Then there was a shaking, of some sort. She looked towards the Lord Ruler’s palace, which was suddenly shining with the power of a thousand suns. Something to do with what the power controlling Sandhya, Ruin, had been planning? Then everything exploded. El rode the power, trying to take control of it, to find something to latch onto. There was a node, here. The Well. And… a resonance, from a thousand years in the past. The world was ending. She had no choice. She dove into the heart of the power, and emerged amidst the snow and ice of Terris, one thousand and twenty four years in the past. Tindomë “Starry dawn-twilight”, Quenya Scadrial - MR13 El watched from Tindomë’s eyes as she dragged herself through the brush. She could feel… something... happening, in the Well inside. She concentrated. Some other power… Mother? There was just the barest scent of something half-remembered from long before. Could it be? El took hold of Tindomë somehow, commanding her to go closer to the Well instead of scrambling away. Barely able to walk, the woman stumbled down the tunnel until she reached the end. El got a glimpse of a woman exuding blue-white light, beautiful and terrible - and then she vanished, and only Jonly was left standing proud and tall. El nearly screamed in frustration. Jonly left the barely-glowing Well to rejoin his companions, and Tindomë avoided his notice as she slipped around and half-stepped, half-fell into the pool. El tried to focus on the woman she’d seen and go to her, using the node as she had last time, but the essence of that woman was everywhere and nowhere, and Tindomë’s mind couldn’t focus well in that state. She emerged on another world that she later learned was called Sel. Tindomë managed to tap her goldminds enough to stumble down from the pool where she emerged into the city, though she still bled from the wound that should have killed her. Sel - LG21 (written by Seonid) El did scream in frustration, this time. It wasn't like anyone else could hear. She was now stuck on another world with no place to go and no leads on her mother even though she had just seen her not ten minutes ago… She frowned, and concentrated on travelling. In theory, it should be possible without a Well to assist. She pictured the scene she’d caught a glimpse of in the chamber holding the Well, and then poured power into it. There was a wrenching, twisting sensation, and she was thrown into a body at the very edge of the Cosmere, far from anyone or anything important. She sighed, stuck in that body until its death. It seemed she still had a fair bit of learning about her new power to do. Crepuscula “Twilight”, Latin Threnody - QF16 El turned around, looking at her murderer, still rattled from the shock of death. He was oddly familiar. She moved closer, and… it was. Not quite, but similar to Jonly. Not in facial features, but in… soul, perhaps? However she was seeing him right now. She frowned, noticing one of the shades trailing her. Crepuscula had apparently decided to follow her into the Cognitive Realm. El carefully detached herself from Crepuscula’s shade, after focusing it on Joseph for her amusement. Wouldn’t do to let someone kill her if she could change that, after all, and the girl deserved to repay her killer. Then she herself focused on Jonly, as she had known him with Tindomë, using the version in front of her as a focus, and she found herself on another new world: Roshar. Tintallë Iurnu Tintalle - “Starkindler”, Quenya Iurnu - “Twilight”, Corsican Roshar - LG31 El was fascinated. Something had been different about this one. She didn’t know whether she’d done something accidentally, or it had been inbuilt from the girl’s nature. Regardless, Tintallë had seen natures, souls, as El saw them but more. Even more interestingly, Jonly had been there, and El had been able to see his soul. So much hatred… She was distracted from that thought within moments, though, as she felt something else, somewhere on this world. She shook, disoriented. Was that… her mother, again? Maybe her father? She lost all other thoughts and focused on that sensation, that instant, careening towards it in time and space. Just before she could find it directly, though, the sensation vanished, and El snapped into a nearby young girl, a messenger of some sort. El clenched her incorporeal fists. She would find her parents. She had to. She took this girl’s mind, and drew on Dominion, though still somewhat clumsily. Tintallë’s power had been undeniably useful, so El tried to make this into a second Tintallë. It wasn’t perfect, when she finished. ‘Allë was a little rough around the edges. But she would do. Tintallë “Starkindler”, Quenya Roshar - LG20 That hadn’t been her mother exactly, El knew. It was like the version of Jonly with Crepuscula: still the same and yet not. It was something, though. Something she could focus on. Another point of reference. Travelling was getting easier, now. She focused on Kenara and the woman who’d been with Jonly on Scadrial, and leapt across worlds. Minuial “First Twilight (dawn)”, Sindarin Nalthis - LG25 El smiled at the interaction, rising from Minuial’s body. She was so close, now. To both her parents. She could feel their essences across the worlds. She would find them. After a couple of short stops elsewhere to tidy up a few loose ends, she concentrated on her parents. Her mother, light, day, sunset, danger, and her father - shadows, ambiguity, hatred, but love beyond measure, too. She fell through the worlds easily, and reached her last body. Liadan. Liadan “Grey Lady”, Irish Gaelic Sel - LG24 - written by Joe This was it. El could feel it. Her mother and father were here. Or would be here soon. Or had been here in the past? Her sense of time wasn’t very strong anymore. Liadan was acting oddly, she noticed. The spirit didn’t pass into the Spiritual Realm, but held onto El’s spirit and stayed in the Cognitive, seemingly free to do as she wished and even interact with the physical world at times. Perhaps El had been doing this too long, or the fact that she’d died so young had had something to do with it? El decided to wait around, in any case. Some instinct told her it was still in the future, what was to come. She would find her parents again. She reached up to clasp the incorporeal locket around her neck, and smiled. To be continued.

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Elbereth replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Just because it'd be (somewhat) accepted in the community doesn't make it right. I'm aware that it's not like I'm going to be ostracised for going inactive a few times. It is, however, unacceptable to me personally. So I'm going to fix that. Also, at this point it's somewhat moot - the games for which that applied were mostly MR21 and LG32. Now that LG33 will be starting soon, I cannot play another game. Not with that and APs. There is absolutely no way that's going to happen. That'd be sheer lunacy. -
Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Elbereth replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Right. I’ve a lot of things to say. (I should note that this was written on Thursday March 16th, shortly after LG31 ended, as we don’t know when the writeup will be up.) I spent several hours over the past few days reading the thirteen pages of thread that I missed. So first, a few comments about the game: 0. (added later) By the way, the elim doc is relatively average, if perhaps a bit on the high side, for a LG. It's in the top fifteen games. So that's something, but I wouldn't call it one of the largest. 1. RP. The amount of RP in this game was wonderful, even in later quiet cycles. I’d call out Jondesu, Mage, Ecthelion, Drake, and Doc in particular for continuing to consistently RP up until the end of the game/their lynches. (And sorry if I missed anyone. That’s just who stood out to me in particular.) I’d also highlight Jonly and Hithon as being my absolute favorite characters to watch this game - I always smiled when I got to either’s RP. This amount of RP is something that I think needs to be kept going in future games, because it’s absolutely amazing. Makes threads long, but is well worth it. 2. Just a general note I realized during cycle 8 - I thought this was about the simplest LG we’ve ever had, and it is the lowest number of roles, but it’s definitely not the simplest. Honor counts and delayed role gains, plus the lynch/execution mechanics, make it significantly more complicated than I initially thought. 3. Lopen. Props to Lopen in general, because I think he did really well this game. Particularly cycle 8: and I don’t know the full makeup of the evil team (Randuir, Ecthelion, Doc, and…? I was skimming by the end of my reading, and it was a while ago, so may be foregetting), but how was it not blatantly obvious that Ecth was lying? I was only skimming the numbers Lopen posted and could see that his had substance, and Ecth’s didn’t. And yes, that’s with the benefit of hindsight, so take it with a grain of salt. But.. gah. I apologize for not being there. And speaking of which… Let’s talk about me. I went inactive this game. I have, in fact, gone inactive in every game I’ve played since LG27. LG27 was mainly because of disillusionment with the game, and I was online most cycles. I can, barely, forgive myself for that. But LG28 proved that there was more of a problem than simply dislike of the game: I went inactive again, despite it actually being an excellent game, and even literally lost my team the game because I didn’t send in an order. (I was not pleased with myself. I’m still displeased, actually.) Again, part of this was in-game reasons: when DA threw our team (from my perspective) from the ability to work with Hael into damage control, I lost steam and interest in the game. AG3 was better. Ish. I was in and out for a few cycles in the beginning, then came back cycle 7 or 8 and remained active for a cycle or two until… things happened, and I died shortly afterwards. So, improvement. And then this game I went completely inactive again. Despite assuming I’d be better than I was in AG3, I was worse. Regarding this particular game more specifically: the particular reason I went inactive this time was because I moved to a new house one weekend. That same weekend I also had tech day for the play we were doing on Saturday (and, of course, there were rehearsals and then performances eating up my time for that next week), plus a concert on Sunday. So I was busy, and I never managed to pick it back up. I’d note also that part of the reason I signed up to play was to RP Jonly and Tintallë. So after that (which I believe was my last post in the game), I had less incentive to be involved. (That doesn’t excuse it.) There are a number of things I’ve gathered from all this. First off, causes: Part of it is that real life is taking up more of my attention, given senior year and the fact that I am actually prioritizing homework now (which I had not been, in the past >>). Part of it is that I gained a significant other, and so spend more free time talking and less posting/reading. Part is likely lack of connection with the newer players, and so less reason to stay invested. Secondly, that I have two modes: active, or not active. I will never be (or rather, have never been) semi-active. Because when I fall behind, I want to read through everything I’ve missed and respond to it all. Which I do, if I have time, and remain active, but if I don’t for long enough, the backlog becomes daunting enough that I never manage to come back into the game, or it takes a long time (as in AG3). If I could learn to read posts as they came and follow each new thread even if I wasn’t posting (which I don’t do mostly because it’ll make me look suspicious, even though few people really check for activity anyway), I’d probably a lot better in general about being active. Thirdly, I’d like to mention Lopen again. He PMed me (multiple times, I believe), asking me to get more invested in the game again and at at least one point, specifically telling me what I needed to do that cycle. Just because I didn’t respond doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stop doing that, Lopen. That’s a fantastic idea. Please keep doing so. Thing with me is - I saw the messages, or at least briefly. I saw Lopen’s and Jondesu’s @’s in thread. I just… didn’t respond, because of the point above this - I would have to read through everything first - and out of shame. I hate being inactive. It’s one of my least favorite things. For better or worse, I’m an experienced player in the community, and I hold myself to certain standards even if no one else does. I’m becoming the person that you can no longer trust to be active and reliable. I hate that. Which, among other things, makes coming back more difficult, because it’s admitting to everyone that I did go inactive. (And yes, it’s irrational, and people will think better of me if I come back than otherwise. I’m aware of that. Doesn’t change the feeling.) I have expectations for myself, and I am not meeting them right now. That’s not acceptable. My behavior, as a member of this community who knows how things are supposed to be and what level of activity is expected, is unacceptable. To me, if not to anyone else. So I’m going to stop playing for a while - likely until summer. QF22 will be my last game until at the very least after LG33 finishes, and QF22 only because I’ll be on Spring Break for a fair amount of it. (I’ll be GMing LG33. And GMing, I have no issue with. Because I prioritize that over schoolwork. I can GM just fine, if I’m sensible about it. I won’t be running my QF until summer because I want to be completely free for that. But LG33 I’ll have at least one, and likely two co-GMs for that, and will be careful.) As far as I’m aware, the only game that might make me break that promise is MR23, depending on when that goes, and I’ll have less problem staying active in it. Anyway. This was probably overly lengthy, but it’s been due for a while. EDIT: Me too. >> -

It may not be, actually, unless you've been together since before mid-December. Neither @OrlokTsubodai nor I generally post outside of Sanderson Elimination, which is why it wouldn't have been noticed before, but we've been together since then. We haven't met in person yet (me being in California, and he in England), which likely makes our situation different than this one, but he's coming to California this summer, happily. We both wanted to wish you the best of luck in your relationship! -

Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Elbereth replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
As I recall, in LG2 the Unsnapped were essentially vanilla villagers at the beginning. Each night, there was a slight chance of them snapping. (I believe there was also a higher chance of a villager Snapping into the specific role of a Misting killed and spike taken by the Inquisitor.) I'm guessing these rules are the same, so I'd recommend looking over LG2's rules if anyone wants clarification on any of these. I'll take a spec doc link, please. -
Right, given that LG32 is up, I believe it's time to give my closing comments. Distribution This was… not the best distribution. It was mostly mine, to be clear, with DA helping. Essentially, DA rolled for one of each role, and then I nixed the ones which I didn’t want in the game, rather than coming up with a full set of balanced roles as I normally would have. This didn’t work terribly well. I did nix the Hazekillers, which I don’t regret - Hazekillers are fairly OP in that they protect the target and kill the eliminator putting in the kill. With few eliminators, and Ruin wanting to kill the Skaa as well, I didn’t particularly want to give the village that kind of power. What I didn’t do was nix the Assassin or the Steel misting (preferably the former). Which I should have. The biggest issue in this game was that there were relatively few players for a LG, and far too many kills. It didn’t happen, but there could have been five kills in a single night. Six in a cycle is more than a third of the players. That’s a bit much. So that did not turn out well. The game, actually, was balanced in favor of the eliminators as it stood, fairly heavily. It’s just that the kill roles landed on the elims before they killed enough villagers to win the game for the elims. The other lesson I learned regarding distribution this game was to be a bit more careful with roles for new players - Bart and Szeth were both wild cards, and I gave both important roles. In particular, the only player in the game who went completely inactive was Preservation. >> (Also, that was very unfair to Ruin, had I considered it more thoroughly: had Szeth been active, no one wants to kill a new player. I agreed to the roll of him as Preservation to avoid the potential of a dictator Preservation, but that’s not worth the price for Ruin.) Likewise, Bart and Arinian both killed every time. If I’d given the kill role to a more experienced player who could see how fast the deaths could stack up and wouldn’t kill every time, we likely would’ve had a considerably slower game. Other Mistakes One, I completely neglected to mention to Mage that he was a Metallurgist until he died. So that is two fewer vials than could have been in the game. It ended up not mattering because the game ended so early, but even so. Two, this one’s on Conq, but bears mentioning: Originally, Ruin was going to be a secret role. Until Conq posted the rules without taking out Ruin, it would’ve been secret, and the game would have been much more fun. (There’s a reason why none of the protects, except Hazekiller, protected against everything - that way, it was easy to slip in the fact that Preservation would be completely unprotected from Ruin’s kill, while seemingly protected from everything else except vigkills.) I do regret that, but we worked with what it was. There was a part taken out from the rules, as well, which was still part of the game: if Ruin died, it would pass to another person, until the game ended or Ruin killed Preservation. Again a moot point, though, as it didn’t end up being used. Other Notes Small note: I am somewhat sad I didn’t get to do more writeups for this game. I had plans for six or ten more, and then the game ended a bit earlier than I was expecting. Perhaps I’ll use the rest in another game. We’ll see. Particular calls out: Jondesu, Arin, and Bart for killing one elim each. Ecth, for putting up with another C1 death. Joe, for being an excellent Kelsier despite being very busy. Orlok, for signing up as a 17th player at the last minute. Also, props to both Aman and Orlok for driving discussion this game. Without either of you in the game, it would have been a significantly quieter game, which would have been sad. You both invested several (on the order of 4-10, at a guess?) hours per day into the game, and it showed. Particular thanks to DA for helping with this game, and a wonderful comic. Thank you all for playing this game. I certainly had fun, and I hope you did. I look forward to seeing you in future games.

Regarding roles - the reason Awakener and Sentry are more powerful, though, is this: Awakener both discovers an eliminator and stops a kill. It fulfills the objectives of both the doctor and sheriff. (And regarding the elims not putting in a kill, The Sentry is essentially a Seeker. An Action seeker, but given that there isn't a kill role for the village, it discovers alignment as well. And removing the ability to know who did what is a significant decrease, I'd argue. I... here. For example. So, I'm roleless, but I propose a plan in thread. Everyone target me, including any and all Sentries. If anyone doesn't target me and a kill goes through, they're immediately under suspicion of being evil. If a kill targets me, that eliminator is discovered. If everyone targets me and yet a kill goes through, I am evil. Sure, the eliminators could just not kill. So they lose one cycle. And there's no reason not to keep doing that. Perhaps picking a different target every time. If the eliminators have a Sentry as well, they can fix that within a few turns by killing all of the village Sentries, but they have to sacrifice an eliminator every time to do so. You can see why this isn't ideal. Regarding specific distribution - no, I agree you shouldn't be giving specific numbers. Fortunately, those numbers are probably mute given that the average QF is nineteen players, not fourteen. The current QF is 22, if you hadn't noticed. I don't recommend posting revised numbers - discuss it with your IM when you get nearer the time. 1. Excellent. 2. I'd agree there. 2b. Yes, workload. Not really any other implications (except in the freak coincidence of something like MR19), but it is not fun for the GMs. Honestly, what I did in LG31 was screenshot the needed PMs and send them to the person over Discord if they had it, rather than copy-pasting, because copying every message for a player active in PMs (and if they're picked specifically it's generally someone active) takes as long as all of the other PMs combined, in my experience. (Meta in LG2 had to copy every PM for UberTin. I've gotten the impression that he's not intending to repeat the experience. ) 3. I would be happy to help GM, if you'd like one and don't have one already.
