  1. He thought of it after the final draft was done and sent in, I would assume.
  2. Brandon said during the WoR tour that he really regretted having Kaladin actually kill Szeth. He wished that he had Kaladin let Szeth live, and live with his sins.
  3. Sorry, I got Relis and Abrobadar mixed up. But I still don't think there's anything supernatural going on other than Pattern at the most.
  4. I have to go with option 1 on this as well. Relis was somewhat friends with Renarin, wasn't he? So he hesitated.
  5. We don't have any information on whether time travel is involved in world hopping or not. WoB is that we've seen someone use it to go forward in time, but not backward. So Shashara wouldn't have been able to go forward 300 years, have children, then go back to be killed
  6. Well, Dalinar's wife would have to have been around in the last 20 years or so to have Adolin and Renarin. Warbreaker takes place before Stormlight Archive, and in Warbreaker, Shashara was killed hundreds of years ago. So, unless she can time travel and rise from the dead (again), Dalinar's wife can't be her
  7. KoboldKing, those are awesome!
  8. Dalinar using Stormlight would have more endurance than Kelsier burning pewter. Doesn't pewter burn fairly fast? Dalinar also has the cohesion surge, iirc, so he could Lash the coins to the ground or something to keep them away from him.
  9. Without atium, in an extended battle, Dalinar would likely win. Dalinar has shown he can fight for hours in terrible conditions. Shardplate and Shardblades are too highly invested to be Pushed/Pulled easily, though duralumin might do it if strong enough. Dalinar is the better warrior and Stormlight regenerates, heals and improves endurance. In Shardplate, Dalinar would be too heavy for Kelsier to affect very well. Even using his full weight to Push, he wouldn't be able to do much to Dalinar.
  10. Raoden's Costume Shop. A new costume with every change of shirt. Go naked without anyone knowing!
  11. Oh I like those! Read the full Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, and Book of Endless Pages at the the Booksmith, by Stormbinder!
  12. I'm thinking that it's going to turn out to be Dalinar. It has that sort of solemn tone that Dalinar has. Also, it would be really fitting, because of his admiration of Nohadon. Especially because of his realization that Nohadon wrote the book after all the things that he'd done, to teach men how to live in peace.
  13. A Mistborn with atium would pretty much always win in a "fair" fight. Even a relatively inexperienced one like Elend can't really do much wrong with atium.
  14. Yep, the entire royal palace and temple are on the Oathgate's dais. They're locked somehow, though and can't seem to be opened from the Urithiru side for sure, and probably from the Kholinar side (I believe Jasnah tried). Shallan's Blade didn't open it from the Urithiru side, and we don't know if Jasnah had a Shardblade at the time that she tried the Kholinar side.
  15. The WoB is that the person who arrived at the gates of Kholinar is the same person who was delivered to the warcamps. No confirmation of anything other than it's the same person, whoever he is The Blades are definitely different though.
  16. I don't think it would be Lerasium...that seems like it'd be too "common" for Hoid to need to reassure someone about it. I always thought he meant the rock that became worthless for him wearing it.
  17. Is that a stick in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?
  18. It was pointed out when I suggested that Taln was spiked to think he's Taln--but I don't think Brandon wants the cosmere to be in the forefront so much that an important and eventual PoV character will be from a different planet, so no kandra yet.
  19. Most likely, Jasnah survived via Stormlight Healing, then Elsecalled into Shadesmar, and took that long to come back. No information yet on how Nightblood got to Roshar. It's assumed that Vasher lost him somehow. Zahel is Vasher We think that those listeners that are not parshmen should be safe from being turned into Voidbringers involuntarily--the sprens that they are already bonded with *should* protect them. But we don't know for sure. No clue on Eshonai, but current speculation expects that yes, she is alive. It's suspected that there is some force influencing Taravangian, other than his boon/curse, but again, no real evidence. Elhokar probably saw cryptics. If so, then they are likely avoiding notice by Syl, since Cryptics and Honorspren don't get along. Edit: Ninja'd!
  20. Hey BreathTaker, posting in an old thread like this is calling necro'ing and is generally frowned upon unless you have new/pertinent information to add. Since the OP was talking about reading WoR immediately upon release, it's clear that he's long done with the book, and doesn't need playlist recommendations any longer. It's generally better to start a new thread if you have something related, but not identical to share. Something like, "Sanderson reading playlists" would actually be pretty cool
  21. Wow that thread lost me about halfway through, but it's very cool!
  22. But he wouldn't be able to hit the spine because TLR would be able to see it coming and prevent it, with atium.
  23. With atium, TLR is going to win, since he can see anything Szeth would try. Also, doesn't gold heal spiritual wounds too?
