  1. It has a conclusion to the Sand Master and the Diem storyline, and Khriss's quest for her fiance.
  2. Khriss is working off of what she can find out from the people in-world and the AAs are written at or around the time period of the books. Sadly, she is not all-knowing, so she can get bad knowledge. She's written as a researcher and scholar, rather as the Author (as in Brandon). She has access to more sources, perhaps, but still is limited to what she can find out.
  3. @hoiditthroughthegrapevine This WoB came from the BYU signing a few weeks ago. How do you think it impacts your theory? It seems to imply that Adonalsium created the parsh, the Aimians and the humans.
  4. No worries! And welcome! General rule of thumb is to not revive a thread that seems finished, unless there's new information.
  5. That's one of the best explanations I've seen about how Aons work I'm stealing! (Although I also have to point out that this thread was answered almost 6 months ago, and didn't really need to be necro'd )
  6. I'm pretty sure all Radiants have access to all their surges from the beginning, and that it's just custom or understanding/knowledge of them that causes them to not use them right away. (Plus the thematic reason).

    Timeline WIP

Glad to help. Also I love that timeline and use it constantly.
  8. Maybe instead of sticking himself to the ground, his spren stuck him to the ground? Did I just talk myself into this theory?

    Timeline WIP

    This one? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JJtJhHwpKdow01n2-bsT3scVvqJd6lZh4uvpNwcslv8/edit#gid=0
  10. It can definitely be a protracted event, but didn't Brandon say that there was a death blow? And yeah, 6000+ years is a bit much for a death. Preservation took extra long because he sacrificed his mind for the prison, and little bits of his power for humans. So dying over many small degrees rather than a "death blow" imo.
  11. I'm thinking Jaddeth has to do with Dominion, personally, though that's just an opinion. @Strifelover Sadly, the timeline doesn't fit for that theory. Ambition and D&D were Splintered way long ago. Remember that Odium's been trapped in the Roshar system for at least....6000? years? (4500 since Aharietiam, couple thousand years of Desolations before that). Elantris is...not thousands of years before the events of MB Era 1, and that's about 300 years before TWoK. And Brandon's said that the Prelude to TWoK is the earliest event we've seen. So Odium would already have been trapped.
  12. It's mentioned in the books that it takes an hour or two for the squire-ness to fade, and that they'd measured it to have a limit of around 50 miles, although they start fading after around 30.
  13. Yeah it could also have been a proto-bond like Kaladin before Syl even really started to talk to him.
  14. Hmmm interesting. Maybe Kaladin had returned to the Shattered Plains right when he started glowing, to help move people to Urithiru? Or the scene took place before he went to Urithiru? Sometimes the scenes will jump back in time a bit to show "in the meantime" type things.
  15. None of the Heralds are from Nalthis, and they pre-date the Returned by several thousand years, alas. There's also the similarity between the shash brand and the letter shash that Suri teaches Suse first. But Brandon's said that's just a coincidence too
  16. Now that we're in the right forum, what books have you read, so that we don't spoil ya?
  17. Report your own post and ask a mod to move it in the comments. Kinda awkward, I know.
  18. Mmmmm they might be Hemalurgical spikes (it seems likely given the name) but they would have to grant the ability to store/tap Identity, rather than remove Identity from people. Removing Identity would require the spike be used on them to rip out a part of their spiritweb, which would likely kill them. Unless that's what you meant, and I misunderstood? And yeah, nicrosil definitely shouldn't work that way, and yet it does. I have no good theories on this, so looking forward to The Lost Metal!
  19. This really needs to be moved into Cosmere theories with an OB spoiler tag
  20. I'm fairly certain that aluminum burning clears out all investiture. So yeah, I think the Breath would be lost. Oops, One Who Connects beat me to it.
  21. We know there's not 10 Unmade, as well.
  22. The one that I pasted addresses this. There are also several WoBs about Breath being keyed to Identity. Which makes sense, since you can't steal someone else's Breath, and you can't retrieve Breath from an object you didn't awaken.
  23. Nah, that's from this
  24. Then we should probably move this thread into the OB spoilers forum, since the discussion would likely involve spoilers.
  25. Have you read Oathbringer?
