1. I've thought about this a bit as well, and it makes sense. 2. There have been theories that Bondsmiths and Truthwatchers are like the god orders, and that each side is the closest to Honor and Cultivation respectively. 3. I believe that it has been seen on page a few times; they call it the double eye of the Almighty, and it's described as an hour glass shape. If I recall correctly, it is seen in the Pallenium in Kharbranth and in Kholinar Palace in an Interlude. I may be wrong.

I asked Brandon a few years ago about God Surges, and he said that they exist, but weren't the ones I was thinking. I shall search for the WoB, I figure it may relate to what you're all saying. Then, a few days later, someone followed up the question: Link. So I guess that goes to show how specific may not even be as specific as you like, however, this shows that there are surges that can be considered god surges. One of those is Adhesion, which I believe is one of the Bondsmith's yes? May be a connection...

(Warbreaker Spoilers) Conflict of Szeth and his New Sword
Khyrindor replied to Radiant Returned's topic in Stormlight Archive
Don't forget that Nightblood is basically an artificial spren. One reason he didn't tempt Vasher or Denth is because he had bonds with them. If he chose to Bond with Szeth, then I don't think Szeth would kill himself with him. Plus, Szeth is now being brainwashed by Nale to blame others, so even if that bond didn't happen, I think Szeth would not think of himself as evil at this point. That said, I would enjoy that kind of depressing storyline. -
I think he said Dragonsteel and Liar of Partinel were first actually, and they haven't nailed down White Sand.

I enjoyed it, but too me the way they solved problems (for the most part) were just coincidences, which bespoke bad writing. I was actually a little bit confused for a while as to what was happening, but by the end it was all cleared up. The humor was spot on, and I liked the action sequences. The problem left me unable to guess what was going to happen and I like that, but there were a few small things I found very predictable from the start. So I'd say 6/10. Good show.

Where Hoid went when he left the shattered plains
Khyrindor replied to VinKohlin's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well, perhaps Hoid figures that Taln being there affects the greater cosmere more than sitting around and eating free food. Greater cosmere doesn't mean he has to leave the planet. -
Also keep in mind a WoB that's been around a while. It says that there are certain powers that are restricting Harmony's knowledge. Also, the Shard warps his personality, so we have a mix of human, and not human thinking. So you are correct in that he isn't thinking straight, but keep in mind that there is a reason for that.

The Cosmere shorts are Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell which you can find for sale on his website in box form with Perfect State (Which isn't Cosmere). You can also find it in the Dangerous Women Anthology, and (I think) as an ebook. The other Cosmere short is Sixth of the Dusk, which is part of the writing excuses anthology. I don't see it in your list, but there is a trilogy called The Reckoners that isn't Cosmere. It is a dystopian society of evil supers, and a small team of regular people who are trying to kill them.

Sanderson "Would you Rather"
Khyrindor replied to KnightRadiant's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I'd rather clean the Shardplate, at least I wouldn't get beat daily. Would you rather spend a night in the Forests of Hell, or a Highstorm?- 954 replies

Where's WalDo: The Kandra Worldhopper
Khyrindor replied to Kobold King's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Correction: Iyatil was born and raised on a planet other than Scadrial or Roshar, however, she is of Hunter descent. I do agree that she's likely not Kandra, but that's not definitive proof. -
Copper would also presumably block an awakerer's life sense.

Hey Sharders! Post photos and/or descriptions of your awesome Sanderson Collection here! Take pictures of your bookshelves, homemade props or costumes, things you bought from Brandon's shop, anything Brandon Related! Do you have any low numbered signed&numbered books? Anything unique? Post it here! For a start, here's mine: Here's a picture (I slid in the hardback dust jackets where they fit in):

I'd definitely agree with Dream Eternal's timeline. I start my friends off with Elantris, as it isn't intimidating, is the first we've seen happen in the Cosmere, and is weaker than the rest (It's still very good, but when you go from that to Mistborn, it blows you away). After that, Emperor's Soul. It may not be in that spot on the timeline, but it's short, and gives a very good description of how the cosmere works as a whole. Then the 1st Mistborn Trilogy and Secret History, which you've read (I also agree it works fine right there instead of Bands). Next, I'd suggest Warbreaker. It was written as a Contrast to Final Empire; instead of dark and depressing, it's bright and colourful. Now that you've read all of those, you're ready for Stormlight Archive, the first two books of which are out. These are huge books, so if you're intimidated or need a break, I slide Shadows for Silence between Warbreaker and Way of Kings. After whichever book of the Stormlight Archive is out (up to book five), you should go and read Era 2 of Mistborn. These happen after book five of SA. The Stormlight books and Wax and Wayne books have a lot of Cosmerey things going on that it's better to have knowledge of before hand. After those, go and read Sixth of the Dusk, and you can make some inferences on some things with your new vast knowledge of the Cosmere. If you feel you need a break from the Cosmere, there are some quick reads of his that aren't Cosmere as well. Of course, it's all up to you, and if you don't have access to a certain book, it doesn't matter too much if you go on ahead. These books all tell their own narritive, this is just (I think) a good order to read them for maximum awesomeness. Happy reading!

No problem And that's what I'm saying! I would love that situation, and it might be grounds for more Oaths from Kaladin.

To your second question, Dust was Hoid's original name in Warbreaker. IIRC, that was mentioned in the annotations or WoB. Dust if just another Alias. I assume the nickname arose because of how Hoid tells stories on Nalthis. You see him at one point using cascading dust and beads I think. To your first question, I definitely expect that, unless Szeth shows up in Shinovar with a certain black sword of murdering evil before they can get to Dalinar. I would love to have a parallel of Szeth protecting Dalinar now, as opposed to trying to assassinate him previously.

Yeah, Atium and Malatium are not part of the 16 basic metals. I was confused for a very long time before I realized that Atium Alloys create a new set of 16, one of which is Malatium.

Game: Scenes that Brandon will most likely write about
Khyrindor replied to Alfa's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Kelsier will run afoul of Nazh, who will have no idea who he is in his present body. The poor man will be grumbling about how he wishes he had a trusty knife right about now. Jasnah -
There is a difference, yes, but it just means that the power will change instead of go away completely. Harmony probably has a God Metal which would regrow like Atium did. I expect that if this bloodline problem will be solved, that will be the way. I have no idea what Harmonium would do.
