  1. Hmm, fair point. Ialai also suggested a coup when Dalinar left. In truth she maybe no worse than Dalinar used to be. Chapter 31 The Stillness Before Pg. 364. Bold added by me.
  2. Ialai, great gal for a leader of assassins. She is clever, but she is as bad if not worse than Toral. This is why she is likely is associates with Mraize though not a ghostblood. Kaladin sensed a highstorm in WoR so Syl doing so in chapter 20 is not the first time one of them has done this. So it isn't out of nowhere. I like your Shallan drawing Adolin killing Toral theory.
  3. Kaladin remains my favorite, but I am a Kaladin fan girl. Shallan is my second favorite though and always has been. I feel bad that this is Dalinar's book and yet his chapter's remain my least favorite. Oh well.
  4. I have not read anyone else's post. I will read after I post and edit as needed. Chapter 19 - I figured this would be the next flashback. It is my favorite of the four released in Unfettered 2. I think Dalinar is just so funny in this chapter. Need knife. Knife maybe in other building. Go walking in a highstorm. Why not? Knife not there, storm it. Walk back in the rain. Still need knife. Ah assassin brought knife. Good knife, just a little blood on it. I don't mean to insult Dalinar, but there is something primal about him in this chapter that is funny to read about. Evi is barely mentioned in this chapter. You will get your first impressions of her in the next chapter. Navani saw her as simple, but I disagree. Navani is being biased toward her own culture and language. I think when she considers Evi simple because she doesn't fit in. Anyway, I'm sure we will get the last flashback before part 1 is over. Chapter 20 Kaladin's chapters have been short, but there isn't much to show here that we have not seen before with other characters in the series. Kaladin is right in his assessments. I wish the listeners would just go off somewhere and live a good life, but forces are not allowing for this. Kaladin is going to have some tough decisions to make coming up here. Poor Kaladin. Poor listeners. Oh and I called it. I knew they could hear the rhythms again even if they didn't speak to them. Chapter 21 More Adolin and Shallan being adorable. Shallan is comfortable being herself around Adolin. I still like them together and I hope when their breakup comes, it will not be permanent. Shallan showing more worrisome tendencies. I think she will be facing another truth before the end of the book. And the fact she accepts the murderers among her guards tells me that she will accept what Adolin did when she finds out. It may even bring them closer together. And then that last sentence. I'm adding the part in parenthesis for clarification. I have to wait seven days before I can find out what is going on! Augh! Tor! What a cliffhanger. This is one of those times you want to flip a table over the three chapter limit. At least I can read this early, but still it will be a rough wait.
  5. Ignore my last countdown. I had the time zone wrong. Here is the correct countdown. Less than 12 hours to go.
  6. Under 23 hours until chapters 19-21. Here is a countdown.
  7. Maybe when you worldhop you can go back in time. Thanks for explaining the timeline to me. I did not know.
  8. Rial could be Waxilliam Maybe Wax will become a worldhopper after the Fourth book. The description matches and worldhopping does seem to keep people young. If Steris and Marasi show up talking with Vivienna that would be awesome.
  9. Or maybe everyone can share. How about shipping ShakalSylPatdolin. Have fun with that slash ficters.
  10. I think the arc was originally meant to be forgotten until part 4 or 5. But too many forgot that Sadeas was killed by Adolin and so an Adolin POV was tossed in to remind the reader. The only other one that was tossed in resolved another misconception that Renarin wasn't a real Truthwatcher. So I agree the arc is not suppose to span several parts because it was not originally in part one or so I guess. Part One of the SA books as always been the weakest part. Brandon is setting up the rest of the book. I'm actually surprised how good this part one has been so far. Just remember, it is a big book and Brandon promised something interesting to happen to Adolin in this book. I just don't think that interest stuff will be in part one. Sorry.
  11. @maxal this is just part one. A lot change between now and parts 4 or 5. I think Adolin's crime will not be discovered until the end of the book. I also think as a part of his exile Adolin will give up his Shardplate and then Dalinar can use the plate to bring the Iri in. Now he might have to give up his blade too and that would kill our dreams of Adolin awakening his blade, but then again, he did win that blade so maybe he will keep it with him when he goes into exile. Maybe none of this will happen, but don't assume it won't when we are only in part one.
  12. I don't think he had been a slave or even a bridgeman. His attitude doesn't fit a former bridgeman. People have slipped into the bridge teams before. Consider all of Lopen's cousins in bridge four. I like the idea of a Worldhopper over a Ghostblood or assassin.
  13. Dalinar heard Evi's name. AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
  14. It took a minute be reload and it will work.
  15. His oaths are about him not others. If the KR judged others by their own oaths I doubt different orders could get along.
  16. He wasn't protecting Sadeas and some of his best friends are murderers. Bridge Four was not made up of angels. Sigzal is at least an attempted murderer. Kaladin swore an oath for his actions, but I don't think he will mind what Adolin did. But I guess we shall see.
  17. I believe when Kaladin confronts Adolin about Sadeas murder the scene will go something like this. Kaladin approached Adolin with his arms behind his back. Adolin sat on the ground against the wall. He noted Kaladin with a sideways glance but said nothing. Clearly wrung out after the shouting match with Dalinar. Kaladin stood next to him. "So, you killed Sadeas?" Adolin nodded but kept his eyes to the floor. "Well then let me offer you a drink." Kaladin pulled the bottle of purple wine and two glasses from behind his back. Adolin looked up at him, wide-eyed. "You aren't upset to learn I am a murderer?" Kaladin sat down and filled one of the glasses. "Some of my best friends are murderers. Besides, all the bridgemen lives Sadeas wasted earned his place in Damnation long ago." Adolin chuckled and took the drink. And then he will help Adolin get out of Urithru.
  18. Not just half this thread but likely a few other threads as well. Remember when we thought Renarin wasn't really a truthwatcher. HAHA! Good Times.
  19. This is what I think will be the outcome in the end. Kaladin&Adolin, Adolin&Shallan, and Shallan&Kaladin are being seeded as interesting and dynamic relationships. The Love Triangle trope handled wrong would destroy one or two of those relationships. I trust Brandon to handle it well so they all end as friends. He really could go left field and create ShaKaldolin. But this isn't erotica so most likely not.
