Sorry I haven't been active. I've been distracted with Pokemon Go lately. In terms of suspicions, I'm hesitant to vote on day one. There was a quickly aborted bandwagon on Bard, which was interesting. I do have one issue with what he's been saying. According to what was said in that thread, Maill made a simple math mistake. Of course, he could have been lying, but it seems like an odd mistake to make. Plus, it would be way too easy to correct by just looking at the player list. I think you're seeing schemes when there aren't any. However, this is a game where it pays to be paranoid, so I can't really blame you that much. I need to look at the senate doc before doing more analysis, but I wanted to get that clarification out of the way. See you in a bit.

Tram smoked on the pipe. He wasn’t a heavy smoker by any means, but when he was offered a smoke, he took it. It was a luxury, and it helped calm his nerves. He thought about buying more, but that was a luxury he couldn’t afford. The skaa on his plantation had already rebelled, leaving him penniless. He had managed to bluff away to his position of power. The scar on his face made him seem plenty threatening, which was the one good thing about it. It hadn’t been easy, but he was able to live off the generosity of his compatriots without giving away his humble status. Still, while the war had given him new opportunities, it wasn’t going well. The factions were mostly equal, which allowed for the present stalemate. By his count, 2 factions had 5 members and 2 factions had 6 members. All in all, fairly balanced, without too many casualties. He knew there would be more soon, but there were more pressing matters. The Spiked were getting out of hand. If his hypothesis was right, then the Spiked should be in each faction, manipulating things from behind the scenes. That would mean, in addition to the Inquisitor, there were now 3 Spiked. That changed the House numbers. It would mean 2 houses had 5 members, 2 houses had 4 members, with the Spiked having 4 members as well. Those were not good odds. As long as the houses continued to fight amongst each other, the Spiked would have the upperhand. In addition, if they still had another conversion… He shuddered. Then the Spiked would be the most powerful faction of all, even without their Hemalurgy. Tram needed to do something. His tobacco had run out. There were two candidates up for the vote. The first was Silk (Aman). She had claimed to be a Seeker who had found a Spiked. Of course, when the “Spiked” was found lacking pointy bits of metal, suspicion naturally turned on her. It was clear she was focusing on the House War, while ignoring the real threat. He considered her actions… ‘bold’, if he were being charitable, suicidal if he was being more honest, and, unfortunately, harmful to the Nobles. But would it be worth the risk to do something like that, if she was secretly Spiked? Tram wasn’t certain, but he doubted it. They would already have had the advantage of both House Venture, as well as the other Spiked members. The Spiked, should they have chosen to do so, could have moved the lynch without that claim. He didn’t like the girl, but he didn’t see her actions as Spiked. She wasn’t part of his House, so he would be fine with letting her die normally. Unfortunately, the Spiked were more concerning. That led him to the other lynch candidate: Vela. She(You didn’t give a gender here, so I’ll assume female based on your avatar) was not saying very much. She was keeping diligent notes, which was a great help. She had put votes down, but was, all in all, very quiet. That fit his profile better. Although some Spiked would try to be vocal to throw off suspicion, he believed that at least one of them would try to maintain a low profile. Being helpful without saying much was dangerous and allowed for too many hiding places. It also helped that he wasn’t in Vela’s House either, but that was a minor concern. He handed the pipe back to his benefactor. He needed his wits about him if they were going to kill the Spiked.

I love playing games with new players, so I'll sign up. I haven't come up with a character name for this game. There's only so many variations I can do. Also, if all goes according to plan, I'm hopefully getting a new job soon, so I might not be as active as I would like.

Tram looked over the ball. So many polite faces, eager to kill at a moment’s notice. He hadn’t realize that the nobles would actually kill Shady. He wasn’t too upset about it. After all, he was the first one to accuse the man. Still, they did it without a second thought. Whatever protests the merchant could muster were swept away in a tide of animosity. It was beautiful, in its own way. They came down like a mistwraith descending on their prey. This war would certainly have its fair share of bloodshed. There was a problem though. The rumors of the Inquisitor and his Spiked minions. He didn’t like those rumors. War was always chaotic. Men running through each other, though glorified in stories, was a bloody business. It never left the soldiers in the same shape. He could attest to that. So he knew that war was by its very nature chaotic. However, he knew that too much chaos could lead to a bloodbath. An army of highly disciplined soldiers was much more effective than a ragtag rebellion of skaa. The current state of affairs was caused by a lack of order. The skaa did not know their place, causing chaos with their new beliefs. Still, if you added too much order, it could snap like a too taut piece of rope. When order failed, power was the needed substitute. Even the most disciplined army would have a hard time going through a single koloss. A mistborn could take out several men before they even reached him. The Lord Ruler, well, he was a God among men, not because of his wisdom, but because of his power. That was why Tram feared the Spiked. They added both chaos and power. They could cause loyal allies to suddenly become traitors in the night, using powers they had not had before. They could become stronger than any one of them, augmenting their powers to new heights. So yes, he was worried about the Spiked. Unfortunately, he did not have a way to stop them. The Houses needed to be united, unless they wanted to be run over by the others. The logical course of action would be to find the Spiked among the other Houses, before his faction was infiltrated. He feared it was already too late for that. Still, it was better to assume the ideal outcome in this circumstance. Even killing one Spiked would be instrumental in finding the remaining fiends. At the very least, it would prove their existence as fact, rather than paranoid delusions. So, he needed to find a new suspect. Tram began flicking his fingers, trying to spark an idea. His eyes wandered around the room Eventually they settled on Dominic (dowanx), the weapons merchant. Pretending to be a merchant seemed like an easy place for the Inquisitor to hide. More importantly, he jumped onto the bandwagon of Shady (Paranoid King). While Tram couldn’t fault him for doing that, it was a tad bit suspicious. He had also made a vote on Zas, though that was apparently in jest. Were they teammates? Tram didn’t know. However, he did know the arms dealer was being too quiet. Although parties (and 4-day weekends) were fun, this was just a facade for a deadly conflict. Tram wanted more. He disliked the quiet nobles, scheming in their factions. It was too easy for a Spiked to hide that way. This was a war, after all. There could be no sitting on the sidelines.

Tram humphed. There was so much bickering going on. Of course, the bickering would turn violent soon enough, but he wasn't feeling particularly patient. There was going to be a war, so why wait? Any death now would greatly impact any faction’s chances in the future. Thus, it was imperative for him to make the first strike. Shady (Paranoid King) seemed like a good target. It was nothing personal though. Tram didn’t particularly suspect of him of being the Inquisitor, but that was always a possibility. He just happened to be on the wrong side. Still, he would like to see the metalurgist squirm. Who knew what information that might provide?

Might as well sign up. To challenge myself, I will play entirely in RP. Now if only I could come up with a character to RP as... Everyone noticed the scar first. Quite simply, Sart Tram was missing his nose. Rumors swirled about it. Some said that it was simply an accident, cause by a new plantation machine tearing itself apart. Others said that his father, in a drunken rage, cut it off with a broken bottle. Still others said that he had lost it in a fight to the death. They were never exactly clear how the fight happened, but they knew that he had won. He liked those rumors. They gave him an air of danger and mystery. He had encouraged them through various slips of the tongue. Better to have an air of mystery than an air of pity. He hated being pitied. The Lord Ruler's death had led to more pity. When God himself died, no one was going to fear someone missing a nose. And when they didn't fear him, they pitied him. So, now was not the time to drown in self-pity. Now was the time to act. With the world thrown into chaos, he would be the one standing on top of the ashes. They would fear him once again.

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody

I looked through your traitor doc. You just got unlucky. I got my other intoxicant from Elodin's corpse. It was a fifty-fifty chance that you or Winter would have gotten it instead. Very close game.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
What I'm confused about is why you stopped making kills. It was 4 villagers to 2 traitors. If you killed Mailliw the cycle we lynched Zas, it would have been 2 vs. 2. In addition, Elodin was by no means cleared, so you could have easily tied up the lynch or controlled it. I suppose the Shades were limiting you, but did they know you were the Traitor. I suppose you should have asked if the ghosts knew when you used up silver powder.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Joe. Now's not the time to be voting for Mailliw. Of course, you could both be eliminators trolling me. That would be annoying. However, it seems likely that we have either an inactive traitor, or there is only one traitor left. With that hypothesis in mind, you're the only suspect left! You confirmed that Mailliw passed an item to you the last cycle the eliminators made a kill. Thus, he can't be the last traitor. Unless Winter was somehow on that cycle, and we weren't aware of it, she can't have submitted the action either. That leaves only Joe and I. I'm not a Traitor, although I have no evidence to prove it. Therefore, I must vote for Joe. This game has gone on long enough. Seriously, why haven't the traitors used their kill? It's getting very annoying.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Simply put, there are 5 players alive in this game. One of those players, Winter Cloud, is inactive. I am assuming that we have two more traitors left. That could be invalid, but it seems likely to me. We have 4 active players right now. If Winter is innocent, 2 of the active players are traitors. That means we have already lost control of the lynch, and the traitors will win. There may be some chance of using Intoxicant, but at this point of the game, I'm sure the traitors have some too. It balances out. However, if Winter is evil, there is only 1 active eliminator. That means the game is actually winnable, as it would be 3 vs. 1. That's the only scenario I can see that we win with. However, we still need to confirm my theory. Winter needs to die.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well this is embarrassing. We should have died two days ago, yet here we are. There's only two explanations. One, the traitors are inactive. Everyone had time to submit a kill, except Winter. The other option is that they fear the shades. Either way, it isn't good. My guess is Joe and Mailliw are the last two traitors. Since Winter is still inactive, if she's innocent, they have already won.- 346 replies

You're forgetting about me, Joe. I'm not a traitor, but I don't have any alibi. Unless I'm missing a PM I haven't gotten an item all game! I've thought through the possibilities, and it seems likely that Zas is a traitor. I would like to hear his defense though.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Bard, are you not paying attention? Conquestor is already dead! He was killed by the traitors. There are two player lists posted. Did you really ignore them? Mckeedee's list contains the 4 people who could have killed someone, presuming everyone followed the plan. You and I, along with Zas, had no items. Mckeedee was going to pass to Elbereth, but she died, so his action was free. We know that two players did not follow through, but I believe their excuse of real life issues. If they're lying I will be very pissed at them. Of the four who could kill, you're the most likely candidate. Sorry, but the gig is up.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The way I see it there are four groups of players. Aman killers: Sart: I tied up the vote. It's not the best alibi, but I know I'm innocent. Zas: He broke the tie 3 minutes after me. I doubt he's evil. Joe: Put the first vote down as a poke vote. Could be bad but I doubt it. Knife wielders: Lopen: He knifed Cloud jumper. Enough said. Mckeedee: He gave Lopen the knife. Would a traitor do that? Busy with the long game: Elodin: busy with PMs. Mailliw: devoting his time to that game instead. Cloud: hasn't done much. She's my other suspect for Traitor. Bard: He's been active this game, but he fits my profile of a traitor. We have 9 players left. I don't suspect the first 5 because they helped to kill traitors. The other four are suspicious. I could be wrong, but this is the best lead we have.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Uhh...Ripple you forgot my vote on Bard. Anyway, I don't suspect either Zas or Mckeedee. Zas broke the tie on a traitor minutes before the cycle ended. It's unlikely a traitor would do that. Mckeedee started the game with a knife. I highly doubt the GM would give the traitors one, since the town has no scanners. There's the possibility that he got it cycle one, but that would be incredibly lucky. As far as I'm concerned, they're basically cleared. I need to reread the thread, but I'll put my vote back on Bard. It just makes too much sense for him to be evil.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Two traitors down. However, they were both inactive. Baring extremely good luck, I believe one of the traitors is at least somewhat active. In addition, I find it highly unlikely that a traitor did not post a vote during day 1. They want to push suspicion onto someone else. I don't suspect Lopen because he killed a traitor. I also don't suspect the people who voted for Aman. It seems way too risky. There are only two other people who voted day: Bard and Bugsy. Bugsy voted for Zas after he made a mistake. That doesn't exactly channel suspicion. Therefore, I suspect Bard. He jumped all over the place day 1 trying to see what stuck. In addition, on day 2, he was committed to giving an item, so he couldn't help his team by sending in the kill. He's my best bet for being evil. Sorry if you're not.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Guys, this is pathetic. We've only casted four votes! This gives the traitors way too much power, especially if one of them has an inebriant. I'm also concerned about the item cycling plan. It doesn't clear anyone, since their teammates can just make the kill. In addition, no one has objected to the plan, which leads me to suspect that one of the traitors is in the circle. That's very dangerous. We need information at this point. I'll put a vote on Silver Dragon. We need the information from the lynch. Mailliw I still suspect you, but I have zero proof.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody
Sart replied to RippleGylf's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I formally request that this cycle be named seeing double. In other news, I still don't have an item. There was no kill yesterday. I'm not sure what we can glean from that, but it's something to think about. We keep discussing plans, but we have gotten sidetracked from the lynch. I was the one who started that, but I regret it now. We need to vote. Speaking of which, I would like to hear from Mailliw He seems preoccupied with the other game, so that's why he didn't make the kill.- 346 replies

Quick Fix Game 16: The Shades of Threnody

Vote tally: Zas (0): Joe[1] Bard (0): Lopen[1] Conq (2): Bard[1], Bard[3], Lopen[3] Elodin (0): Joe[2] Bugsy (1): Zas[1] Cloud (0): Bard[2] McKeedee (0): Joe[3], Sart[1] Amanuesis (1): Joe[4], Sart[2] SilverDragon (0): Lopen[2] The cycle is ending soon, but I'm the only one who's bloody on! In addition, no other votes have been cast. Conquestor has said he's busy in an unrelated PM to Joe. Thus, the argument of him being a Traitor only in his doc doesn't seem very likely to me. The cycle is ending soon, but no one seems to care. It's frustrating. I would rather not lynch a player for doing nothing, so I'm removing my vote on McKeedee (I'm still suspicious of you, but this is more important) and putting it on Amanuesis. Sorry, but I don't believe in Day 1 lynches, especially on this flimsy of evidence.- 346 replies
