  1. Preach it sister! This idea that bandwagons are good is frankly ludicrous. If the eliminators really cared about who we were lynching, an alternative lynch candidate would have been offered by now, or else someone would rise to the defense of Raven. If an eliminator is being threatened, you can almost guarantee that the other eliminators are going to defend them. Think about it. What's likely to draw more suspicion to the person on the block: stating that the player isn't that suspicious, or by forcibly shifting the votes away from them. Heck, I'm more worried that the eliminators will change the vote from one innocent to another, causing increased suspicion on the second person, allowing the eliminators to go another day cycle without being lynched we can not allow that to happen. Adamir, we can't just stop voting. Outside of a demonic summoning ritual, the best way to get someone in the thread is by voting for them. Remember, the eliminators don't have access their doc during the day. If we start voting for one of them, we're going to get a response. It's more than likely they will make mistakes protecting their own. Voting is the best way for the village to get info. We're not likely going to get a follow the cop strategy going any time soon, so we need discussion. Therefore, I have to look at where this idea of good bandwagons came from, and who's doing their best to keep it that way. In that case, I have to vote for Alvom Halbin. He's been contradicting himself. He states that he can get behind the lynch of Mailliw early in Day 2, when there's only 3 votes. Later on, closer to when Mailliw has 4 votes, he starts thinking that Mailliw is innocent. But then later on he suggests that there should be more votes on Mailliw. Notice in the final vote tally, he never actually gets around to voting for Mailliw. It just feels like he's an eliminator trying to be inconspicuous. I've been wrong on post analysis before, so I'm not claiming that he is guaranteed to be an Eliminator. However, I just can't let this type of behavior go unquestioned. If you thought that Mailliw needed to be lynched, why didn't you vote for him? If you thought he shouldn't be lynched, why didn't you vote for Venture? I still am suspicious of Venture, but I want these questions to be answered first. Edit: Stupid m looking like rn
  2. Alright, let's do a vote count: Raven (4): Clanky, Kipper, Adamir, Macen Emerald (1): Herowannabe Araris (1): Adamir, Alvron Alvron (1): Lopen, Raven Hmm... a lynch train is starting to form, but it's too early to see if anyone is going to start jumping ship. I'm going to hold off voting for a little bit, until I have some more time to do some analysis.
  3. I tried suggesting a follow the assassin plan, but no one followed through on it. Unfortunately, I don't think any verified trust trees are going to surface. If a person reveals his role, there's only faulty scanning to check it out. Furthermore, if we have a verified good, the obvious temptation is to PM him/her your role. An Eliminator courier (which is pretty likely) would immediately be able to spy on those conversations, as he wouldn't have to guess one of the recipients. As it is now, they only have dismal chances about finding info from PMs. Therefore, I can't advise a "trusted" source strategy. That being the case, we must look into lynching based off of deduction. So far, we only have one suspect, Mailliw. I really don't think he's an eliminator. Literally no one has defended him. If he was an eliminator, I would assume that they would propose an alternate candidate. Such a candidate has failed to materialize, despite 5 pages of discussion. It seems fairly obvious that the eliminators are lying low this cycle, letting us lynch someone of our choice. I'm going to put a vote on Venture. One sentence voting should be frowned upon. Why are you voting for him? Is it just because he's popular, and you're an Eliminator looking for an easy kill?
  4. I hate to be jumping onto a bandwagon, but I feel like this needs to be done. Ripplegryf, you've just shot into the top of my list of suspects. Not only did you retract a vote without hearing a response, but you also joined the bandwagon on Honey Badger. You had both said that you supported a lynch today, but both of you hadn't voted for anyone yet. You're calling the kettle black. Furthermore, Honey Badger has said that he won't be on for the rest of this cycle. I don't want to lynch someone who hasn't defended himself yet, so I can't allow this vote to go through. Ripplegryf, explain your actions.
  5. You're overthinking the plan. The only person who needs to reveal is a solitary Assassin. They get to decide who they want to kill. I would prefer it to be someone who is inactive, but it's their choice. They only have to kill tonight. After that, they will be verified. Once they reveal who they are going to kill, all of the Guardsmen target the Assassin. It's highly probable that at least 1 Guardsman is uncorrupted. Even if a corrupted guardsman attacks the Assassin, a second guardsman could nullify that kill. I'm betting there are at least 2 guardsmen, but even if there is only 1, there's only a 5% chance that the Traitors managed to blindly corrupt him. The traitors won't know if they corrupted a protective role. It's more than likely that this plan will result in the Assassin being double protected, so would they really risk wasting their kill? After the Assassin reveals he will probably be corrupted, losing his killing ability, but he will be 100% verified. And to those of you who think the Traitors might have an Assassin, why would they? That would be immediately giving them 2 kills right off the bat! That's ridiculously overpowered.
  6. A lot has happened this game and I haven't been very active. My sophomore year of college has just started, so I was busy catching up with friends. Anyways, here's some quick analysis of the thread. First and foremost, the Nobles voted for Wilson. I doubt we can get any information from that. Several people have grudges against her, so it's reasonable to assume that one of them put a solitary vote on her, causing the confusion. Second, STINK has raised a lot of eyebrows. However, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. In the Quick Fix I was just in, I basically did the same thing, and I was innocent. Now I want to talk about the role distribution. We know that there are only 8 roles this game. 2 of which (Assassin and Guardsmen) would grant them an additional kill, which would be way too dangerous for the eliminators to have. Since we've received confirmation that the Assassin kill is different than the Eliminator kill, we could theoretically verify all Assassins as good guys by having them shoot inactives tonight, provided they announce it during the night thread. While it's not ideal to have a verified good who can't tell who is evil, it would allow us to gather information on who is claiming what role. Furthermore, the Eliminators would not be able to kill this person, as we would probably have a Guardsmen protecting him. However, this plan has some serious drawbacks. One of our Guardsmen could become corrupt, which would accidentally kill our new verified good. Furthermore, any enemy Couriers would love to extract information from a "private" conversation. On the other hand, I still think this is a good plan. There's a 95% chance that an Assassin isn't corrupted, and the Eliminators are just shooting in the dark when it comes to corrupting Guardsmen. I'd love to hear your feedback on this idea. I admit there are some cons to this plan, but the benefits vastly out weigh them.
  7. Mortago gladly went to Dalinar's camp. It was his one chance to strike it big. He wasn't good at collecting the gemhearts that the lords were so desperate to have. However, he knew Dalinar was falling behind in his claims. In fact, it almost seemed as if he was starting to not care about the chasmfiends. Mortago was a diplomat, so if he could persuade Dalinar to make him an ally, his reputation would grow immensely. Otherwise, well, he chose not to think about that. Just letting you know I'm signing up. Will this be the largest game of Elimination yet?
  8. ...and this is why I should be more careful reading. I mistakenly remembered Wyrm suggesting that an Eliminator would enact a plan that would benefit the village, in order to become more trusted. I had forgotten that Wyrm had said that in jest. That colored my reading of some of her other posts. Namely, her wanting to not focus on inactives, when an inactive was actually an eliminator. While I can't trust her completely, that doesn't warrant a lynch. Unfortunately, now I'm in the hot seat for rashly posting. Therefore, I'm going to tie up the votes by changing my vote to Phattemer. It's nothing personal, but you haven't been active at all. We already know one of the Eliminators was inactive, so it can't hurt to lynch another one. Either he's not helping the village consciously, or he's not helping the village unconsciously.
  9. Wyrm, I don't think you can just brush off Meta's accusations. Judging by the thread, he was getting worried that you were deliberately trying to derail his plan. Even if we now know the plan won't work, your repeated arguments still hurt your cause. To me, it sounds like you were being deliberately paranoid, in order to sow dissension among us. For those reasons, I'm putting my vote on you.
  10. Alright, I'm here. It's going to be difficult to find the eliminators this game, so we need to rely on post analysis. However, I'm not sure how much we can glean from a Day One vote. Most of the votes are poke votes, which are literally random. It's nearly impossible to glean information from them. I'm going to hold off from voting right now. I need to do more analysis before I can safely place a vote.
  11. Artweave the Painter is signing up. Formerly known as Sart, he was my original character for LG4, my first elimination game. His colors are Brown and Mint Green
  12. This reminds me a lot of the Arsonist role from Town of Salem. Basically, they can douse a person with gas, causing them to be marked for death. The arsonist can then light a fire, killing everyone who is doused. Killing the Arsonist, does not ignite the doused, but lighting the fire doesn't cause the Arsonist to die. It's a fun role, but it's really difficult to win as. It's generally used as a distraction for the eliminators, to get the doused focused on finding the Arsonist. I should also mention that the Arsonist is immune to night kills, so they have ample power to cause havoc. They sometimes even ally with the Eliminators!
  13. Well, the good news is that we can get rid of the threat of Pan Dereth. The bad news is, we still don't know who the remaining cultist is. While there are several people who have been cleared, the majority of people are suspicious. I've never been the greatest at picking out who cultists are. To be honest, I tend to do these games mostly for the role-play. However, with this game, I don't want to RP a character I didn't create. Therefore, I have to rely on my meager powers of deduction. Unfortunately, I'm going to be inactive this weekend, so I don't have as much time to speculate as I want to. While I'm hesitant to do this, I'm going to put a vote on Claincy. His play-style is different than normal, and I can't help feeling like he's hiding something. Also, I would like to address Haelbarde's concern. I gave away my Seon to Meta on Day 5. I don't really like using PM's, so I gave it to someone who was already confirmed. I know that's only soft-confirming me, but I think we have better suspects to focus on.
  14. In retrospect, I should have suspected Jain sooner. When I considered the lynch candidates, I voted for the safe candidate. However, I should have realized that something was fishy. Jain only revealed Karlin's Seon when he was in danger of being lynched. It was clearly a diversionary move, in order to get suspicion off him. That being said, I honestly thought Karlin was a Cultist, so I kept my vote on him. Jain has probably already created an Odiv, so it's crucial to kill him quickly. We should continue voicing suspicions for cultists, as well as for the Odiv. I'm going to summarize our suspect pools. Totally good: Meta, Ren, Neo, Alv Possible Odivs, but definitely not Cultists: Wilson, Kas, Twei Possible Odivs/Cultists: Luckat, Kipper/Burnt Possible Cultists: Dowanx, Seonid, Sart/Wonko, Aonar/Wyrm, M'hael, Clanky, Araris, Em, Claincy, Silver With 2-3 cultists, and most likely a Gyorn, we're going to have our work cut out for us. However, we at least have a shot.
  15. Alright, time to do some analysis. I have a bad habit of viewing the thread, and then not posting my thoughts at the issues at hand. I'm trying to correct that habit, so here we go. Suspicions: Karlin: Has a Seon, but hasn't been using it. Has only contacted Jain. Jain: Is being defensive Kipper: His vote on Honey Badger still doesn't sit right with me. Of the three, I have to put my vote on Karlin. While I think it was odd that Jain didn't notice the call for Seons, I find it even odder that Karlin didn't notice it either. Even if Karlin is good, he can at least pass his Seon over to someone else. He's the less risky of the candidates.
  16. I want to echo what other people said about suspicions of Kipper; something about his vote last cycle seemed a little off. However, we have more pressing matters at hand, such as lynching Bort. This is normally the part when I roleplay, but I don't know enough about the character I'm portraying right now, so I'll have to leave it at that.
  17. Alright, so I'm filling in for Wonko this game. I haven't analyzed all of the voting yet, but I have to ask a major question. Where the heck is Ostrich? Look, I know I've done the strategy of hiding from sight during a game, but it did not help the village. True, he could be doing good behind the scenes, but eventually, work behind the scenes must come into the light. So, what have you found out?
  18. Alright, let me preface this by saying that I still haven't received my actions yet, so this might become outdated. Honestly, I'm not sure what the deal is with Jaelre. He clearly was active, as I wasn't able to kill him, but at the same time, why didn't he respond after I posted a message. I assume he just left the Town Square after I posted. It's suspicious, but I don't want to force a lynch. We need answers. I know there's been some trusted groups forming, so hopefully we can work from there.
  19. Someone had to bite the bullet. Someone had to save the town. Acer Tuy was not that man. Acer Tuy was, quite frankly, a drunk. His amphibian hatchery, while a good source of protein in the caves, didn't require much work to run. While he waited for the frogs to hatch, he drank away the previous month's profits. He didn't like talking about what he did before he was a drunk. He didn't like thinking about her. He was strong back then. Now, he was a wasting away. When he woke from his drunken stupor, he found that people were accusing him of being spiked. He wasn't sure what day it was, although he knew he had one hell of a nasty headache. He found it hard to focus on the debate, although several names were being tossed about. Eventually, they had decided to lynch him. He thought about letting them do it. He didn't have anything to live for, so why even bother. Something stopped him though. It wouldn't be what she wanted. She wouldn't want the town to collapse in on its itself. She wouldn't want him to die. He started to say something, burped, and then tried to form a coherent sentence. "It's that jailor, Jailre. He's, like, always arresting people, and, uh, that's so, suspicious. I'm a gonna go over there, and teach him a lesson. Yes sir, those spiked will rue the day they messed with Acer Tuy!" He couldn't actually believe the town fell for his shoddy reasoning. He later learned that the jailor had mysteriously vanished, but still, he was shocked that he was still in one piece. Still, now he had a threat to follow up on. He had said he was going to kill the jailor. He didn't know if the jailor was Spiked. He didn't want to kill him. Still, the town would turn on him if he didn't follow through on his threat. He had to set a precedent. He grabbed his bottle, and set off for the jail. He just wished he knew what the jailor was thinking, running of in a time of crisis. Still, there was no point in idle speculation This night was going to have a bloody end. Jaelre, if you're reading this, please respond to the thread. I know you've been browsing the site recently. I don't want to have to kill you, but I don't want to get lynched. You just seem like the best target right now, because of your inactivity. If you become active again, I can spare your life, and the village will have another contributing member.
  20. Alright, I'll admit it, I haven't been entirely honest with you guys. While it is true that I've been busy with real life, I had another reason not to post to the thread. I have a kill role. I was trying to go incognito for the time being, in order to help the village once more people had been verified as good. I don't have as many charges as I would like, but I have enough for a kill. Since, jaelre has been inactive for most of the game, I'll kill him in order to prove my innocence. If he really is inactive, and not faking it, then he should still be in B2. I will travel there, and kill him. If I kill him, then I will be verified. If I don't kill him, then he's faking inactivity as well, and we can work from there.
