You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Mistrunner replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I have currently nearly my family's whole Sanderson book collection in my room. It's supposed to be on the shelf in the hall. -
Having a Bad Day? Stop here for a Good Rant!

Oh, I understand this. All too well. Jeans for me are always too loose in the waist and way to tight the rest of the way. I do not wear skinny jeans. I hate skinny jeans. But it's the current trend, and it's impossible to find normal pants that actually fit. Jeans shopping= instant death. I know the feeling- just had a conversation to this effect today. There doesn't seem to be a way to win, and it's awful. This post is a little late... but better late than never, right? -
Kaladin?! I was just reading about you this afternoon! Great job with that chasmfiend, by the way! Also... welcome to 17th Shard. We're a bunch of weirdos, if you haven't noticed. And that's a good thing!

Okay, I agree, we need this. One, I want to meet you people in person, and two, I want to exploit your book collections and Cosmere theories for my own evil purposes. We're goin' to Mars, everybody.

I need a Doctor Who support group. I'll be talking with friends and jokingly say "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" and suddenly get depressed. I have worked "Allons-y!" and "Bananas are good!" and even "Always bring a banana to a party" into at least five conversations and then I'm really sad when people don't get the reference.

Read it before. But now I own it. (And yes, I'm rereading it now.) And good luck! Hope you get it! -

Yes. Exactly. My brain just overanalyzes things and it ruins a lot of books for me. Coincidentally, that's one reason I love Brandon Sanderson's books. They hold up under all my weird analyzation. Edit: And yes, Slowswift, if a psychiatrist read these threads we would all be thrown straight to the loony bin. Wait... No, just pray they don't get onto this website... -

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

When your computer crashes for some reason and you're panicking because you can't get on 17th Shard. On the topic of Riordon, I haven't read Blood of Olympus yet. The reason? I can't bring myself to, not yet. I read his first series about when it came out and thought they were okay. (I actually like them more now. They just weren't quite in my range of interest then.) Then (somewhat) recently I tried his books again with the Kane Chronicles and the new Percy Jackson series and I liked them. Then I read the third book in that series and realized: Riordan is reaching. His jokes are forced and at times even make the plot unbelievable. He's now stretching out that one idea- ancient gods and goddesses in the modern world- as far as he can, and it's wearing thin. That's my opinion on them. Of course, I'm really, really picky when it comes to books. It's probably Sanderson's awesomeness. -

Urgh. That's not nice. I don't get it, but two of my brothers do and it sounds awful. -

First two Chronicles of Prydain, Black Beauty, Robinson Crusoe, From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. Update: THREE MORE FREE BOOKS! The Book Bestowing Demons are pleased with me... -

Well... I don't have a Nine quote (though the gif would certainly apply) but I got six books yesterday. For free. I would dance around the room yelling "Yay yay yay yay yay!" but I'm too busy reading. -
World misconceptions that are difficult to shift.

I just can't see Sadeas as short. And here's my weird one... When I first read Mistborn, I saw the Inquisitors' eye spikes as being about six inches wide and two feet long. It took me a loooong time to get that straightened out in my brain. -
No I have not but believe me, I will.

Cheese! I love cheese. Everyone should love cheese. I'm a bit fanatical when it comes to cheese. Cheese cheese cheese. Did I mention I love cheese?

Cosmere City: Saga I: The Timekeeper
Mistrunner replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in Inactive RPs
Mist thought a moment. She took out her bar of tin and shaved off a sliver, pinching it between her fingers. She rummaged through her coat for a vial. "I guess I've never really thought about it before, but it's interesting, having zinc and tin. Added together, I can really figure out a lot of things, though my head gets kinda crowded. I even, I mean, before, when I bumped into you, I was- oh, this sounds so stupid out loud." She shook her head, looking down. Suddenly, she heard shouts and crashes coming from- it seemed like everywhere. She eyed the sliver of metal on her finger with distaste. "Oh, I'm going to regret this," she said, and swallowed it. Sirens started wailing as Mist doubled over, coughing. -
Wellll... In WoR, it's said that light brown (tan) eyes are considered light, but what about very dark blue eyes? That's what mine are. Very dark blue, though some people say they're green in certain lighting. So, no idea.

At first I thought you meant "What do you look like" as in objects, so here's what I immediately thought: I look like a mushroom, if they had blonde hair and glasses and an overbite. And were taller. And legs and arms, and a nose, and eyes. Honestly, though, if you saw me, I'd probably look like this:
