  1. You have a sword? You should bring it to a wedding.
  2. I'm a simple person. I just want to go to the point in the future where all of Sanderson's books are published and I can steal buy them all.
  3. Sounds good. Let's go! (Also, I will take a moment to say that I am now in the top 50 rep people whatever. I am the happiest I've ever been.)
  4. Now on the top 50 rep! My life is now complete. I'm gonna go dance around my living room now.

I still have no idea how you managed that upvote/post ratio. [/envy]

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever how that works. For some reason, people around here find me funny. Not that I'm complaining... it's just that usually when I make jokes in real life people just look at me strangely.

  5. I'm not a him! *pouts*
  6. We're Master buddies! Let's go take over the world! ...my brother actually has a fob watch... maybe... if it's opened...
  7. Never had a quesadilla?! Time for Quesadilla 101. 1. It is pronounced "cay-sa-dee-a." 2. It is a Mexican food. 3. It is delicious. 4. See Fatebreaker's description of a quesadilla. 5. Eat one. Now. Anyway. Here's my couple of questions. Have you read the Tiffany Aching series? Do you like cheese? What's your favorite color?
  8. Thanks. My avatar is a little thingy I made. It's supposed to look like a character I made up for one of the books I'm writing. Her name is Ali, but she goes by Glass. You like Discworld! Yaay! And you're letting other people ask you about anything, which is really nice because you put up with a lot of... interesting, and more recently, food-related questions. You take the time to analyze MLP episodes (I am in awe) and you're all around a nice person I see around the forums a lot.

  10. Same for me- very well said. I realize I'm likely much younger than the average demographic for this site, but nobody cares. I've found out I've been responding to people twenty years older than me. It's actually pretty cool how so many people of all ages can come together and talk about something we all like.
  11. I love the new design! Makes so much sense.
  12. I spent about half an hour explaining Kaladin's life to a friend and she kept telling me to stop it because it was too sad and she was getting depressed.
  13. I'm okay with just a baby grand...
  14. Would you happen to have seen this episode of The Muppet Show? Mooses are amazing. Welcome to the madness of 17th Shard!
  15. I'm actually related to these people. Should I consider this an omen...?
  16. It... it's beautiful... Reason #whatever we're on: we have people willing and with the talent to write odes to 17th Shard.
  17. And thus Jasonpenguin joined the Knights Awkward.
  18. This isn't even funny. While reading Words of Radiance, I had to keep switching positions because I couldn't hold it up for that long. I got some serious exercise from that. And they say book nerds can't be buff.
  19. Twi, you're talking about killing Brandon here. If you want Calamity to be published, we can't go around murdering the author.
  20. To start off, I hope this is in the right place... So, I've seen a lot of posts around responding to certain things saying "17th Shard is so awesome." This, my friends, is where we can plunk all of 'em down and, for me at least, rave about the wonderful things I find here. So, reason #1: We can talk about religion without arguments starting. In fact, we can have intelligent conversation on religion. Reason #2: Age doesn't matter. Age on this forum ranges from forty-something parents with children to people still in middle school, but when you post, nobody can tell. Ideas and comments are judged solely on their merit, and not dismissed because the person posting is too young or too old to understand what they're talking about. So, what do you think? Why is 17th Shard so awesome?
  21. Lydia Coffin and the Death family. Enough said.
  22. Who cares about social life? I am the Awkwardmother. I am the meaning of antisocial. ...I am very proud of my new title, if you haven't noticed. Back on topic... again. When your thought process goes like this: So someone says "Someone keeps slamming a door. That's rude." The wind was slamming the door Wind=breeze breeze=Breeze Breeze is rude "Well, he isn't that bad."
  23. Welcome to the forums! You'll see a lot of stick references. In fact, there was a Church of the Stick, but it's lost popularity at this point... I think... so it's good you've read Stormlight! I recommend Elantris. It's a stand-alone and very, very good. If anyone offers cookies, you should know that they're spiked. With metal.
  24. Silverblade, you were the catalyst that changed speculation about a 17th Shard road/camping trip into planning (so... see you during that, then ). You're weird and funny and a Knight Awkward, which automatically puts you on my 'good' list. I see you around a lot and hope to see you a lot more!
  25. Aw, Kobold, that's sweet. I'd like to add here my response to people who say things like "How could He let infants die and people kill each other in wars?" Well, as always, we have agency, which means we can choose to be good and do good things or we can choose to try and take over the world like Hitler did. And in my church, we believe that infants who die what seems like much too soon were too pure and too holy to go through this world that has so many bad things in it and were called home early. And it can be really really hard to push through, but we will see them again. It's just so wonderful to know that all the people we love we will see again. So, that's what I believe. I'd like to say again... it's absolutely amazing that a thread on religion- normally a very heated topic- can be this civil. I love all of you people. You're awesome.
