  1. Good feedback. Makes me happy that people are reading it. Thank you!
  2. "I... am not sure. The only clue as to its whereabouts is this slip of paper. It has an address and a name on it." She gestures to a scrap of paper on the floor. Mistrunners eyes widen. "Is it a TARDIS?!" she asks. Yes. Yes it does.
  3. Go to your profile, then click the black "edit my profile" button on the upper right hand side. Click on the "signature" tab on the side. Write whatever you want. Click "save changes." Hope that helps.
  4. It's 'cuz music is awesome. And magical, according to Slowswift.
  5. Mistrunner peers out from behind her suitcase packed with books. She clears her throat, coughs, then says "I- um - well, some of the others do things differently, but we read books. Mostly. Right now we're searching for a 25th anniversary edition of Elantris, though most people are still reading or posting on 17th Shard. You wouldn't happen to have it, would you?" she asks hopefully.
  6. Thanks! Always nice to get feedback. And with a story about ice, puns are inevitable... Ooh. Thank you for the suggestions! Fine ideas.
  7. Mistrunner suddenly feels a wave of awkwardness wash over her. "A new Knight has said an oath..." she mutters. She waves an awkward hand, allowing an Awkwardspren to bond with Revan Karrde.
  8. Of course! Mosey on down to the beautiful page of the Knights Awkward and I will accept your proposal with an awkward wave of my awkward hand. And yep, I'm pretty sure that counts. ChullRider created the Guild of Arts though, so you'll have to go to the page to apply.
  9. I advise checking out the social groups. I myself am partial to the Knights Awkward, as I created it and don't have any shame. I shall shamelessly promote! We're quite the interesting group. Also, the Guild of Arts is good if you're in any way artsy/musical/creative. Have fun! 17th Shard is the greatest!
  10. #3 top poster for June 9! I'm all fancy and stuff!

Well, now I'm down to #4. But I had a moment of glory.

I am in 6th or 7th, pretty much always.

  11. California's on it. There's hardly any of it there.
  12. I almost want to leave it there.... Ahem. Back on topic. You know you're a Sanderfan when you get an Amazon gift card and your first thought is "Yes! I can get those Sanderson novellas!"
  13. Have another 17th Shard Problems meme...
  14. Best part of this thread: no way to derail it. Muahaha. Also, about cabin space for our trip together, I'm totally fine with sleeping outside in a tent.
  15. Oh, yes. Have you heard "Nearer My God to Thee" as sung by Vocal Point? It is AMAZING.
  16. Weee are Pentacostaaaal.... And weeeeeee aren't hostiiiiiile.... I see your point.
  17. I thought I should introduce myself to the Creator's Corner. The following work was written at about 1:00 AM. It is published here nearly unaltered, though considerably more legible. Advice, critiques and questions are welcome. It's a sort of companion to another short story I wrote that I'm actually pretty proud of. There's two guys (they don't know each other) and they showed considerable bravery in battle. They were heroes. They both died in battle, and the ice magicians tried to bring them back to life as a reward. Well, they succeeded, but they are both now made of ice, and because of the half-failure the whole thing was kinda hushed up. Okay, enough stalling. Here it is.
  18. I know who I am... I know God's plan... I'll faaah-low him in faaaaaith!
  19. I was going to post something exactly like this. Thanks, Slowswift. You're awesome. Also... just because I can...
  20. Kitten... Tien... I'm halfway between wanting to do this or being really sad. But... the cute factor...
  21. I like your writing style. It made for a fun read. Also, the idea of a magic system based on music. I like that. One question: what kind of magic does the music.... for lack of a better word, create? Does it depend on the style of music? Complexity? Rhythm? Does all music cause magical things to happen, or just some? Does it have to be made by a specific person? Or does it have to be made with the intent to create magic? That was much more than one question. Sorry. I'm thinking of posting some of my midnight rambles, but I'm afraid I'd be locked in the loony bin.
  22. One who breads blurbs. Makes them tastier, I suppose.
  23. Click the "quote" button on the bottom right of the post. ...and thanks.
  24. Man, that's deep. Of course, instead of the very metaphorical way it was supposed to be meant, my brain gravitated towards the words "Shattered plains" and "highstorm flash floods" while reading this.
  25. *gasp!* KOBOLD! Such indecency! Back on the previous subject, our car can fit eight. More if we stuff people in the trunk.
