Well, my main story right now is a Frankenstein of old, simplistic little ideas and stories that fizzled all patched together. Most of my good stories are like that. Of course, actually finding a way to coherently resolve the conflict and end the story is another matter I've yet to sort out.

GIVE ME WHEREVER YOU LIVE. WILL WORK FOR COLD. I don't even know when I had my last snowball fight... "Do you wanna build a snowman? Well too bad we're in a big drought!"

How do you get so many replies to your AMA? More seriously (though the above was kind of serious) have you read any Shakespeare? What do you think about it? I think it's fabulous. Yes, I know I overuse fabulous, but it's such a good word...

Swing dancing! I can do that! Anyway. I found a movie version of Hamlet on YouTube today (Shakespeare is awesome) starring David Tennant! It gets better. I called my brother over to watch and my mom actually had to tell us to stop watching Hamlet and go to bed. I love my family. Also, you should all go watch it. It's fabulous.

Theory...? I have to agree with Tetriona. I come up with something I think is mind-shatteringly brilliant only to find out it's common knowledge here. Still, it's a fabulous forum, and I don't say that lightly. Welcome! Have some upvotes!

My thoughts exactly... They've really derailed the thread. (Pun very much intended.)

That's why I called mine "Ask Mistrunner Anything... About Food." And tagged it with "c'mon I can't be that normal." I did give in though. What's your favorite color? Can you guess what any Sanderson character's favorite color is?

I loved it when I was reading the massive hardcover WoK I got from the library (I have a paperback now) and when I got the even more massive WoR hardcover. If somebody tried to talk to me I'd just hold the book up menacingly. Everyone was afraid of me. It was awesome. Of course, I couldn't properly enjoy it because, you know, I was in Roshar at the time.

Okay... first time really theorizing around here... hope I don't embarrass myself too badly. Here are my notes. Well, what seems pretty important to me are a few words: Thing one: "There are four whom we watch.... The world can change.... One of them may redeem us, and one of them will destroy us." (Emphasis mine) So, multiple people- and they aren't participating. They're watching. Don't know what this implies, but it sounds important. And then there's the may redeem us and will destroy us. Who does "us" refer to? Does "us" refer to the people of Roshar, or just those who are watching (possibly the spren)? As we all know, Pattern is constantly talking about how eventually Shallan will betray her oaths and kill him. That's a point towards a spren's voice here. (When looking through previous posts just now, I saw that NavySealsGuy said something to this effect.) Then there's "Men seek that which is lost. I fear the struggle will destroy them." This can be interpreted to mean the speaker isn't human, but it's debatable. This reinforces the point, to me, that the person is just watching. Aaand wild blind jump into complete blind speculation! What if the speaker is the one who wrote the second of the Letters? It would explain why he's just watching. The tone seems about right. Still, wild guess. Thoughts?

I want to say someone epic and complex like Vin or Sarene. In reality? I'm probably most like one of those dead skaa. Or maybe Bastille... if I was, you know, more awesome. And magical. And a princess. Really, all I have in common with her is that I like whacking people who act dumb, though my weapon of choice is Words of Radiance.

That's the reputation system- a lot of people just call it rep. It's the number of upvotes you have total. (Upvotes are the little arrows at the corner of every post- you upvote a post if you like it, downvote it if something was offensive or rude.) The words are just silly things that match where your rep is now- having just a few upvotes makes you a skaa, a few more and you're a spearman, etc. It goes all the way up to 10,000+, which is God Beyond. What's your favorite small household appliance? You know, blender, toaster, microwave? It's an odd question, I know, but I have trouble coming up with normal things.

Mistrunner's hands slam down on the sides of her book throne and her head pokes up above the pile of tomes in front of her. "Shardmarks? Did someone say something about shardmarks? The legendary marks of..." she trails off as she notices something. Something important. "Summer!" she yells awkwardly. "You forgot Firefight!"

BUT WHERE IS STORMLIGHT THREE? I'm dying... can't... survive... without... Roshar... already reread WoR fifty times... why must I suffer so...

This could happen during our 17th Shard road trip.

Let's appreciate all Cosmere dads yesterday. Think! Without Tevidan Tekiel, we'd never have Vin! Without Straff, no Elend! Without Brightlord Roshone... Kaladin wouldn't have been broken and his heart shattered in a million pieces he'll never possibly be able to pick up!

That's much better for my schedule, seeing as in November I always try but end up failing miserably because of schoolwork and homework and essays and whatnot. I think I'll try it out.
