You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Mistrunner replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
"Those certainly are a lot of boxes. Too bad nobody else came to help us move." "No problem! Let's just call up a feruchemist! Then they can lift all the boxes in with super strength! Or maybe a Lifeless could do it all for us. Or we could have a Windrunner lash them to the back of the truck! Or even the ceiling! The boxes might be a little destroyed, yes, but think of the spectacle, Robert, the spectacle." -
I agree completely. If you have something that brings you so much happiness, why not share it with everyone you can? That's a fabulous talk. I second Slowswift. You should all go read it. To quote from it, "Our simple desire is to share with you the truths that are of greatest worth to us." So... That's why we talk to people about our church. It makes us happy, and we want you to be happy too. Warmest and fuzziest of feelings, Mistrunner

I don't oppose the DA, I just firmly believe that all people should know what exactly is in their cookie. Freedom of choice to be spiked or not. Isn't that in the Bill of Rights?

I... never really thought about it like that... Could be considered minor spoilers for WoK, I guess. Very minor. Well, from Szeth's Oathstone to Vin's metals to Alcatraz' smelted sand to Rithmatists' chalk (a form of limestone), we can conclude that rocks shape your destiny.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

When your recurring daydream is of meeting Sharders in real life. -
I'm a younger sibling! I'll have you know us younger sisters are gracious, beautiful, articulate, and... Okay, fine, annoying, but so are older brothers! Anyway, on topic, what's your favorite type of weather? Sun, rain, thunderstorms, overcast?

Ooh.. I like these. Thanks Twi! Thanks Joe! You're both amazing!

I like you already. Isn't it chouta? The most delicious of all cheap soulcast foods? Good job refusing that cookie. It's... not... safe. The Dark Alley is the reason young Sanderfans are told to not take baked goods from strangers.

Oh. Wow. You're going deep. Mine is kinda... Almost... Lame. Speaking of Camp NaNo, anybody up for creating a private cabin? Sandercabin? I don't know. I need some help too! If somebody can help me with this that'd be great. I have a character- the king- who wasn't supposed to be king, but his older brother died and he ascended too early. He's extremely paranoid- he's got spies everywhere, and some of them were trained so well they aren't even loyal to him anymore. He created a group of elite assassins just to keep him safe (they turn on him). His entire castle is booby-trapped and he's subtly allowing the entire kingdom to be drugged. What would make him that paranoid? He's highly intelligent and he isn't lacking in common sense. He acts cool and collected. He should know better, but he doesn't! Why?

I... I'll need some time for that. I really like Mediterranean food, and Italian, and also certain Asian food, and middle eastern... but what to choose... Imagine Dragons, yes. Collective Soul- no. Probably Macbeth. It was awesome. Though Hamlet got pretty funny for a tragedy. Yep. I have. Never heard of it...

If you've read the Mistborn books, you'll understand me when I tell you that the cookies are spiked. I advise strongly against eating them. Welcome! Although the Dark Alley can be a bit disturbing with their spiky cookies, it's really a pretty awesome place. We have some less hemalurgically inclined guilds, mind warping Cosmere theories, and some interesting Sanderson memes. They tell me the Oregon RPs are fun too, though I wouldn't know. Have fun! See you around!

The Literature Guild
Mistrunner replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
I can be Mistrunner, High Imperial Accountant of Worldbuilding, Grand Duchess of Procrastiation, Supreme Ruler of Writer's Block, Lady of Mumbling Insanity. Or just that last one. 'Mistrunner, Lady of Mumbling Insanity.' Rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it? -
"Quick, Metronome! My recital is in fifteen minutes and I don't have the rhythm down yet!" Of course, if he went on a murderous rampage, that would complicate things. Shooting people to the beat of the music... I actually want to see that now.
-
Or you could turn into a pony...! ...never mind. He'd probably like that.
-
Fix you is great. I can't really choose a favorite... but maybe if I go grab my entire collection and listen to them all, I can try to decide... Ahem. Excuse me for a moment.

Is that the source of your signature, or is that from somewhere else?

Autumn's pretty darn cool, yes. I like the colors. When I got them... Around here leaves seem to turn straight to brown. In Oly there was a tree across the street we called the "Fire Tree." You can guess why. It was also interesting in the point between fall and winter, because you saw things like frost tracing the veins of a brightly colored leaf. Those were cool. YOU LIKE THEM ALL TOO? We need to start a PM conversation. Like now. So I can gush about all the awesomeness to someone who actually cares.

Have you ever written a couple lines- in a story or just random inspiration- that you're very proud of? Showcase them here! Here's one I'm rather proud of, though I suppose it sounds strange out of context: "Ali knows the signs. The certain smell. The horrible sense of quiet, followed by the sound of something breaking." Anyone have some beautiful lines they'd like to share? I'd love to read them!

Vivaldi's Four Seasons? No, wait- does Chopin count? He's Romantic period, but anything by him is amazing. Musician/song? This is... Hard... One of my favorites is The Piano Guys, but Coldplay is good, as is Vocal Point. Season? Winter (this time non-Vivaldi). I love snow and cold and rain. Thanks for answering my (frankly shameless) plea for more questions!

I'm so sorry, I accidentally downvoted you on this post! Can someone try to cancel that out? But I totally agree with you. 17th Shard seems to be a sort of Internet utopia- what it should be. It's awesome. What is your favorite of the foods mentioned in any Sanderson book?
