I don't have any fabulous advice or clever things to say but I just want to say I'm so sorry, I hope she's okay, and we're here for you. All the hugs. Been there. Many times. Once it was nearly a full 25 hours. Long car rides- blegh. Where did you go? Someplace fun, I hope?

I don't know why, but I appear to be in the minority when I say I recommend Elantris. I think it's greatly underrated- not the best written of his books (though still very very well-written), but man it blows your mind. I know you're waiting for the new edition, though, so I'll have to stand by. Mistborn. I'll say Mistborn. I'd like to reiterate something I saw somewhere. I'm probably going to say it wrong, but here's what I kept thinking of during my Elantris reread: "Other authors carefully drop occasional clues throughout their books so as to heighten the shock of the twist at the end. Brandon Sanderson throws hints like a drunk clown throwing confetti, and you're still blown away at the end."

Never formally, because they didn't have it at the middle school. But I've run on my own. And Silverblade, you do XC too? Nice!

I don't really have anything to say about this, except that I totally agree. Twi, you're awesome. Cross country starts tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can make varsity.

I've just started school for this year and I have a ton of homework due tomorrow and this is the first week what is this not to mention the fact that I'm probably moving very far away very soon and gaaah

When you're out stargazing and call satellites "starspren." When you can't go six minutes without referencing/quoting/acting like a character from the Stormlight Archives. When someone pretends to break your fingers (long story) and you realize "I AM VIN!" When you have mental images of what Sharders look like that may or may not be accurate.

Heeey, it Nerdy Joke Time? I've got plenty! What did one chromosome say to the other? "Do these genes make me look fat?" Did you hear about the mathematician who's afraid of negative numbers? He'll stop at nothing to avoid them. What's Beethoven's favorite fruit? BA-NA-NA-NAAAAAAA! Why did Beethoven get rid of his chickens? All they could say was "Bach, back, bach." A C, an E flat and a G walk into a bar. The bartender says "Sorry, we don't serve minors." What do you get if you drop a piano down a mine shaft? A flat miner. Those turned into music jokes at the end, but I like music jokes. So sue me.
