  1. First readthrough of WoK I imagined all spren looking kind of like this but different colors. So fearspren were like that but purple, and painspren were the same but orange, etc. It got me really confused when he started explaining about creationspren taking the forms of random objects.
  2. It... it's beautiful... I shall add it to the other orders.
  3. A week's worth of camping Sandermemes! Disclaimer: I like camping. It's just more fun to talk about soulcast eggs than how fun some team-building exercise was. Let us begin.
  4. First... I just hope I wouldn't play one of the ten fools. ...well, would I know they were a Sharder at first? Would they just walk up and say "Hi, I'm Slowswift from 17th Shard?" Is that you knocking at my door right now? Well, I'd probably ask them in, eyes wide as the computer screen I'm looking at now, get myself some lemonade or something, and sit down at the dining room table after grabbing every single Sanderson book I own. Then... after the shock of seeing a Sharder in the flesh wore off... the Sanderson conversations begin. I can tentatively voice my (weak and underdeveloped) theories, ask for them to read a chapter of one of my stories and state an opinion, and gush about how great [insert any Sanderson book here] was and how Stormlight 3 better get here soon. I would start talking about a favorite character animatedly, lemonade forgotten, and discuss what makes Stick so compelling. I'd ask random questions about cheese, and the conversations would get long and strange, but inevitably return to Sanderson. It would be awesome. Of course, in reality, this would never happen. But I can dream!
  5. I'm back on 17th Shard after a weeklong absence! Yaaay! Of course, I'm going to be off for two weeks pretty soon, but I'm enjoying it while I can. Age of Ultron: I honestly liked the first movie better. But mini Hawkeyes... awwwwww!
  6. Agh. I didn't know Tumblr was that bad. Of course, I never really paid any attention to it, so... The internet can be used for so many awesome things. It can find information on horribly obscure things in seconds, connect you with family and friends while they're away, and get you onto a community with other amazing and beautiful Sanderfans. But people choose to use it as a platform to express horrifyingly angry opinions. I have strong opinions. I'm very conservative, very religious, and very patriotic. But I'm not going to yell and curse at someone for having a different opinion than I do. I honestly get scared by it. I will respect your opinion. Of course, this is my exception: I will not respect your opinion if you insult military people. They gave lives, time with families, and years of their lives just so you have the freedom to call them names. I don't comment on online things (Facebook is the only social media place where I actually have an account) so I won't call you out on it, but I won't respect that. Anyway. Off with the seriousness. Have any of you heard of Brian Reagan? He is hilarious.
  7. When you and a friend refer to each other as lighteyed chulls for a week, because you're lighteyes but carrying heavy packs like a chull. When you spend said week thinking up memes to put up on the Sanderson Memes page and wishing to be back on 17th Shard.
  8. What a beautiful title. Welcome to our crazy site! Have an upvote. If anyone offers you cookies, you should know that they're hemalurgically spiked. I hope to see you around!
  9. My first thought... AUGH!!! because death. Lots of people dying. But these ideas are amazing. I will go to this. I agree with FireSlayer- who cares about college savings. Let's build this now. As for the Rithmatist section, we need Asian-European food stalls. And the gift shop would have traceable Rithmatic circles. They would have simulated Rithmatist duels (some sort of touch screen thing, with the "chalk" being a stylus?) and Academy classes with Prof. Fitch.
  10. I'm finally back on! Sorry for taking so long. But I was in the mountains, away from Internet. Sad. YES. All the way. I love both Asian and European food, and though I can't remember what foods were mentioned, I'll look through my copy and try to get back to you on that. Oh my goodness. I need to get on that. I shall incorporate cheese in any way I can. ...or I could eat chouta. Or even Asian-European food... Hm... Well, a friend got me into Sword Art Online for a while. I haven't watched any in a long time though. Well... kind of. I have friends! We just read a lot of books. Once we organized a box full of small, colorful rubber bands. It's a long story. Suffice it to say that I'm OCD and I infected everyone else. I'm also really, really weird. And I read big books. Both tend to scare people off, unfortunately. I do daydream about meeting Sharders in real life, though, so I can talk to someone about Sanderson's works avidly and without getting looks that say "calm down and read something else." Yes.
  11. Aaaand I'm back! Did you miss me? Did you even notice I was gone?

Um... yes. It's a long story. But I have time, so I'll tell you about it anyway.

We kinda built a... a thing for a sort of design contest- you got a bunch of long stakes and rope. We didn't even know what it was, but I looked at it from one angle and said it looked kind of like a unicorn. So that's what it was. And we made up several uses for it, because usefulness was one of the judging categories. You can burn witches on it, use it as a diving board, cook food und...

  12. And so it begins. Off to scout camp tomorrow for a week. No 17th Shard machines there. See ya next Monday.

  13. Well, Doctor Who is amazing. You should. Do you have OCD? Odd question, I know, but I am and I want to know if others do too. Are you a reformed librarian?
  14. When you have actually been on 17th Shard when Kobold is off. Yes, this can actually happen. Apparently.
  15. Mistrunner frowns. "I'm actually not sure." She whispers conspiratorially, "It is our greatest secret- we have no idea what we're doing." Raven is accepted into the weirdness of the Knights Awkward and forgiveness is asked in advance for brain damage caused.
  16. 'Wrong-handed'... are you a lefty too?
  17. Oooh... tough one. Brie? Of the everyday, cheddar will do. Or monterey jack. Or both.
  18. ...Well. I apologize in advance for this likely very long reply. She's a character I made up. Her name is Ali; she goes by Glass. She was apprenticed to a thief, but she hated stealing. Unfortunately, she loved breaking into places. So one day she broke into a ballroom and watched from a balcony where somebody had left a red cloak and masquerade mask. She stole them. When the guy she was apprenticed to found out she hadn't gotten anything valuable, he was really mad. Also drunk. He accidentally smashed a mirror or bottle or something and a shard embedded in her side. She ran away that night, and started going by Glass, wearing the mask and cloak. She became an infamous and baffling criminal, confusing authorities everywhere by breaking into places- but never stealing anything. And in response to Twi, curry powder. And peanut butter chocolate chip, probably.
  19. Oh, is that what it is? I could never tell. What's your favorite type of cheese?
  20. Well, I thought I'd jump on this new trend. Ask me anything- about food. I won't turn away other questions, though, if you have any.
  21. This makes sense. Thanks for explaining that.
  22. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love you all.
  23. Well, I only took the test because of this thread (INTJ here). I honestly think that people are much more complicated than four letters. Everyone is a blend of just about everything, and that can't be determined by about fifty questions. It felt like a more complicated "Which Disney Princess Would You Be?" Facebook quiz. No offence to those who truly love this system- it just didn't work for me.
  24. From tomorrow to Saturday.
  25. Not to mention the fact that the withdrawal makes you smell terrible.
