  1. Greetings, M'Lady Elsa Steelheart. We have met in the topic of Thy Holy Entrance, but not yet here. Thy Humble Servant the Grey Pilgrim is in awe of how Thy thread could obtain nearly 100 replies in under 24 hours. I revel in Thy Divine Wonder, and admonish myself for ever having doubted thee.
  2. It makes much more sense now. My question is, can you give someone Surgebinding with Hemalurgy? Maybe use it to force the Surgebinder's spren away?
  3. You mean Wax or Wayne, right?
  4. The change in face, claiming not to be a kandra... He must be one! Get him!!
  5. Hmm... If anyone knows who stabbed Windy with a Shardspear back in October, step up now!
  6. Dear Harmony! Windrunner must be being impersonated by a kandra! Which is the real one?? Have the other staff members been impersonated too?? Have the spikings gone too far??
  7. Harmony, no! Please spare my mortal soul!!
  8. I shall remain among the Unaligned for the time being. This is actually rather helpful for me, though; I had seen some references to Shroom and had no idea what people were talking about.
  9. When things got tough, Grellin took a walk. Yes, that was his go-to for about all situations, but the hypnotic sway of movement was so conducive to thought and careful consideration. He had had enough of Aladar's camp, so he decided to make his way over to Tion's mansion, where so many had been spending time recently. The crazy man had gained a lot of influence in the wake of the king's death. Grellin had come to trust Tion, despite his screams and ramblings. Grellin may not accept him as king if it came to that, which the man seemed to want, but Grellin felt safe enough around the man. It must have been due to his Shardplate. Almighty knew, Grellin would love to have a set of Shardplate. And even the Blade to go along with it. Arriving, Grellin found himself, as usual, in the midst of a near riot. Men, women, and children stormed the streets, the bustle more like to a highstorm than anything else. The stormwardens had predicted an actual highstorm for the following day. The first since the assassination. Grellin hoped the warcamps could stay peaceful in the wake of that chaos. He moved his hand near the left of his waist, where sat his sword in its sheath, then stepped forward. The word on the streets was astounding. Tion had challenged the musician Faialen to a duel? But there couldn't be a duel today; it was too late. Was the man mad? But as Grellin made his way through the streets to the center of the bustle, Tion's manor, he came to understand a little better. Apparently, Faialen had been calling for Grellin's death, but no one else had joined him. Faialen had stood alone, a symphony of one. And now Tion was calling for the musician's death, Jost and Ace having joined him. Could Faialen be one of the whispered Ghostbloods? Tion must have been very certain he was, enough to go to his grave possibly for it. Much as Grellin trusted Tion, it also made sense. No one would make that large of a risk without surety. As he passed through the gates into Tion's grounds, Grellin decided that he would join the insane man in his movement against Faialen. Despite his certitude, violet fearspren kept popping up in his wake. Grellin was growing more and more used to their constant presence as the days passed. For those of you who dislike RP posts in the middle of discussion, my reasoning is all in there. It may be slightly exaggerated for RP purposes, but it's there. Here are the current votes, updated with mine (I wrote this before Jost's post): Alv 1: Ace, Humperdink Jim Bob Dirt 2: Fnorf, Cara Jain 1: Tion, Awes, Saritu, Cara Grellin 1: Faialen Sprenil 0: Jost, Wurum Humperdink 0: Wurum Tion 2: Alv, Sprenil Cara 1: Wurum Faialen 4: Jost, Tion, Wurum, Ace, Grellin
  10. Yup. Spam bots make accounts and post those topics. Which is really annoying if you use the New Content function to search like I do.
  11. It actually makes sense that colors correspond to Shards, if you think about it. Colors are determined by different wavelengths, thus by a number/quantity. If a number can be significant to a specific Shard, so can a wavelength. So it could be that Sel's colors are more important than numbers, as we've seen on other planets.
  12. Faialen: I can understand your reasoning, and given it there isn't really any refutation I can make. Very well.
  13. Ah. That makes sense.
  14. But overall, hey, at least the Map of Roshar is going the right way! Mine came upside down... I have to turn the whole book to look at it.
  15. Ah yes, that would make sense. Thanks for that, Quiver.
  16. Thank you very much, kind sir.
  17. Adolin_Dustbringer: I am noticing your posts are getting increasingly rude and inflammatory. Can you please try to be a little more civil in what you say? There is no reason to call another player's beliefs or reasoning ridiculous just because you disagree with them. About lynching. Unfortunately they are a part if the game. If we don't try killing whomever we find suspicious, the game goes nowhere. They lynchings are the one of the main avenues through which we gather information: Who votes with whom, the reasoning people provide, etc. We will not get every vote right, but that is just part of the game. And at the end of the day, a game is all this is.
  18. Of course. I just didn't want to downplay the degree of likeliness of that's being true. Also, about the time gap, I can never find anything other than the Coppermind that states that there are exactly 341 years between Hero and Alloy, and it is not cited there. As far as I can tell, Stormlight and Alloy are still a bit apart in the timeline. This WoB seems pretty accurate: (source) There could be a new WoB I haven't seen, of course.
  19. Aether's is amazing. Maybe the best yet.
  20. Ok, guys. I am genuinely sorry for my inactivity over the past few days. I had a lot of stuff come up and was only able to get on to read the posts every now and then, but not to really absorb them, and I didn't have the time to actively and thoughtfully post so did not do so. I would have voted if I had been able to accurately assess the situation. I agree with some of the arguments made against Jain at this point; the whole feigning ignorance ploy is not helpful to anyone, and his play in general has not been helpful to the game. I'm not going to cast a vote yet, however. I want to see how today plays out. We have another 24 hours yet. Faialen, obviously I would like to know your rational behind my very likely being a GB. I know my name has been tossed around quite a bit during this game, but as far as I can tell, most of those who have suspected me at one point or another seem to have lowered me on their lists. Voting without explanation is always suspicious, so I ask that you do that. While I tend to assume statements about out of game occurrences are true (such as mine) your computer problem could well be a way to cover up voting without an actual explanation. I could be reading too much into that, of course.
  21. True, though that is pretty much an accepted fact. The evidence is so strong that we can fairly well work with it as certain.
  22. I've never seen Nalthis as five either, but I could be wrong of course. In terms of Sel, I also immediately thought of the Aon base lines as indicating the number. So 3 could be Sel's number. In fact, 3 could make quite a bit of sense. The other confirmed numbers, 10 and 16 (I don't know about 5) are also of great significance to the cosmere as a whole. 16 Shards, 10 core Shardworlds. If 3 is a number, it could well correlate to the 3 Realms. Is there anything in the systems seen in Emperor's Soul having to do with 3? I can't remember right now.
  23. I really do need to read Alcatraz...
  24. This... This is amazing.
  25. I am fine with a 48-hour night cycle.
