  1. http://store.brandonsanderson.com/ Lots of awesome new stuff including new SA logo with swords, the bridges 4 glyph and a beannie with Kaladin's brands on the forehead. Yes please, I'm going to make up for missing out on the Kaladin symbol shirt while it was available.
  2. Haha, well then you're just going to have to type it all out. or We could referring to him as Dalinar Kholin, Highprince of War which would be DKHPoW or DKHoW, which now that I look at it makes me think of the concentration camp Dachau, so.... Lets just be informal.
  3. King Elhokar mentions his first name in WoK actually, so it's not a spoiler. He says Highprince Sadeas' first name when he announces him Highprince of Information. Also, lets be more respectful and use proper titles here. None of this "Gavilar this and Dalinar that". These are important people and need their honorifics. It's King Gavilar and Highprince Dalinar thank you.
  4. I assumed it was a spren because a spren expert called it a spren.
  5. He deals with the Brightlord who replaces Lamaril quite a while. Then disappears around the Wandersail chapter.
  6. I Will DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE! Order of the Plainviewers
  7. OK cool. Thanks Peter. It's a shame you've upgraded to Adonalsium from Broken One. Broken one seemed so much more fitting with your tease-trolling.
  8. I thought it was Shallan looking at the awful, terrible vault that is presumably, in a wall.
  9. What would the hair of a baby born of Adolin and Shallan look like. Would it be black speckled with blonde AND red, or would the red overpower the blonde or vice-versa (As a redhead I think the red would beat our the blonde of course). We haven't seen a description of a mixed Alethi having two alternate hair colors but it really seems that hair breeds true. Would they have 50% red hair then like 45% black and 5% blonde? Also Feather if you're reading this just replace Adolin with Renarin at will.
  10. Gross, I love it. I think the biggest problem is that lighteyes are the ones with soulcaster tech. Lighteyed Vorin priests specifically, they're too haughty to soulcast crap.
  11. I think since the book is divided into Parts that would be a natural stopping and dividing point for progress based spoiler threads.
  12. I really don't plan on rushing thru the book. I'm sure I'll tear thru it but I'm not going to read fast just to read fast. Take my time and savor it , try to pick up some of the subtlety on the first read. Its going to be years before the next one comes out. Why not take my time.
  13. This is going to be bad for me. It's like getting ready for a marathon by running 100 meter dashes every day for a month. it just gets my heart rate up. Ohh well, I'll still gobble them up. More Dalinar possessed wall writings?
  14. Anyone know what time they are going out each day? I'm assuming noon but you know what they say about making assumptions? "Assumption, this thing is for airsick lowlanders"
  15. I love soulcasting huge things (like by blood castle idea). I think the issue with soulcasting in a high storm is that the gems are infused in one moment, not throughout. Notice when Kaladin us strung up it happens when he sees the storm father. Maybe if they went to the source they could manage it! I hope if it happens they soulcast the air all into blood. Gross!
  16. I imagine a time gap. There would have been a vacuum of power following the Recreance. And the Vorin church probably scooped it up along with those who became kings of the perspective nations. But it would take time for Vorinism to grow to a world dominating power. Hundreds of years at the least. It sure didn't seem like they came to super power thru mega military might (shards). Tho the Sunmaker undoubtedly broke it with military might.
  17. As I've stated before I'll be live blogging as I read along to WoR when it's released. My style isn't bullet point reactions, I just kinda talk about how the chapter makes me feel and take my mind wandering in silly directions. I've been writing up the posts for the preview chapters ahead of time to get myself warmed up and have just come up with a scenario that I had to post. In Jasnah's prologue when she grabs the cognitive essence of the entire Kholin Castle I imagined what if she had enough juice to accidentally soulcast the whole damnation thing into blood. Here's what I cam up with. ROSHAR TIMES HEADLINE: Hundreds drown in blood castle. Tragedy struck as a Hemavalanche destroyed the Kholinar seat of power and home to the Royal family of Alethkar. No cause is yet know for the Crimson Tide but a suspicious Shin dressed in red robes was seen surfing away safely. The thought of this has been making me chuckle to myself for a day and had to share it around. Anyone else have some Roshar based comedy that could only ever be understood on the forums?
  18. I think it could be potentially possible with an infinitely redoubled reverse lashing, but you'd need infinite stormlight. So a shard could probably do this. You'd just need the gravity. It would also destroy the solar system.
  19. Brandon posted pics on his facbook page and it looks like the map on the back endpaper is a modern mp of roshar with different artwork around it. edit: way ninja'd at least here the pic!
  20. I like the redness of it, here I've been imagining the hardcover to be blue all this time (shifts mental picture of glorious future bookshelf).
  21. So I recommended Misborn to a coworker and she casually is reading and enjoying it very much, she's just about to finish. She recommended it to her husband who is a newly burgeoning audiobook junkie. In the last two months he's buzz-sawed thru TFE, WoA, HoA, AoL and is now half way thru WoK getting him in perfect cruise position for transitioning directly into WoR when it releases. I'm actually jealous, I mean Hoid said it, we most value timeliness.
  22. That's your fault for revealing the magic trick. haha
  23. The URL is up. It seems like from here on out "daily glimpses" . Should go live at noon. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2014/02/announcing-glimpses-of-radiance-daily-previews-of-words-of-radiance
  24. Hahaha. I saw this topic and cringed thinking"No no no these guys all LOVE Shallan, they're gonna tear poor Benji apart!" Luckily it's kept civil like must anything on these forums. Gotta agree with the gang. I've become increasingly find if Shallan with every reading. I think there's going to be some really good stuff in her flashbacks. I love Kaladin but his flashbacks to Hearthstone are so depressing, my least favorite stuff.. Tho still good.
