Good morning, humans!

I got a full 12 hours of sleep last night, and I feel great. Yesterday’s comp was a huge success, and I’m super excited for next week! 

My rib/spine situation is much better, as I can move my arm around again, and I only have pain when I twist around or do ribcage-intensive motions. I should be able to perform at our next comp! anyways, this will prolly be my last obnoxious SU about show choir and sleep until next week or so lol. 

I’m probably gonna do some drawing and maybe even try to write today-oh shoot lemme go get my cat out of the vent -so we’ll see how that stuff goes! I’ll post here if I get some good results.

comp placement updates!

our (as in the one I’m in) group (JV) placed first in JV, our treble group got 3rd in finals, and our varsity got 1st in finals and grand champs!

Ive had 2.5 hours of sleep in the last 37 hours, but that will soon be remedied

I just went and got my spine adjusted, and I’m feeling much better. I’m icing it, too. Definitely not normal, but I should be okay by our comp next week. 

But chasms, I’m tired. In the past 30 hours, I’ve gotten 2 hours of sleep. I’m gonna try to take a nap after our varsity group performs.

Show choir comp day!! It’s gonna be awesome, even though the rules make it so we can’t make finals, and we’re only competing against one other group in our division. But what can ya do lol?

Also sadly, I won’t be performing because I threw my rib out and it storming hurts to move, and I also got about less than three hours of sleep last night cuz my sister had a comp, which they won. I’ll probably be backstage, singing with the band. Which kinda sucks cuz I can’t dance and also my makeup looks rlly good this time but whatever lol.

Don’t you love when you have school off, so you get to sleep in? (I woke up like 20 mins ago—10AM ish, 10/10 recommend) And then when you wake up, you’re laying in bed for a minute thinking about when and how you’re gonna gather all your stuff for a show choir comp tomorrow, but then your brain is randomly like “BOOK BREAKTHROUGH!” And you’re like “OH MY SCUDDING STARS BOOK BREAKTHROUGH” and everything’s great?

also on a different note, if cats can feel things with their whiskers, can they also feel textures and temperatures? Or just the presence of the object?

My typewriter is overheating lol. But so far I’m about a third of the way through the Operation, for those of you who know what I’m talking about *wink wink*

Aaaaah okay I know I just posted about this but the papers are looking so good

AND I MADE A SCENT SPRAY TO SPRAY OVER THEM SO THEYRE NOT OVERWHELMINGLY COFFEE-SCENTED AND IT SMELLS SO GOOD. It smells like cinnamon and book pages and cedar wood… with a hint of lavender and underlying coffee. *bliss*

I swear, there is NOTHING better than aging papers while listening to Sleeping At Last in an otherwise quiet house with your two cats watching. Seriously. Also these papers have turned out so pretty so far! They’re not completely dry cuz I didn’t want them to get too crunchy in the oven so they’re mostly air drying now. 

Well I didn’t make it. Not even the ensemble. It feels like a long way to fall from being Alice frickin Beineke last year. Like yeah there was only 27 people in the whole musical but that’s over HALF of the people that auditioned. Like I’m upset but whatever. Like it’s not a big deal. I almost didn’t even audition so it’s fine. Anyways. And it’s like everyone’s like babying me about it now and I’m like I don’t NEED to be babied. Like I’m literally fine. It’s not a big deal.
