  1. "Okay! this sounds like it will be fun!" She said, finishing her glass of water. "Do you think they'll mind I'm an elf? Maybe I should keep my hat on just in case . . ."
  2. "Of course, why would I go anywhere without a sword? Honestly how impractical."
  3. "Aaaaaaaah, okie, what are we doing? its a good thing I thought to bring my sword!"
  4. "Mmmmh, do you think they'll help us fight the dragons? or are they doing something else?" Ari asked and sipped her water.
  5. "Yes well, they want to keep everything about me very quite, you know? I was friend a few days ago, but now I'm a Foreign alien spy bent on your race's annihilation. Funny how things can change," She said, taking the water and sitting on the floor.
  6. "Hallo! how are you? good to see you!" she said as Paprika lead her inside. "So what is the favor?"
  7. "Right I'm coming!" Ari said, then hung up. Finding the apartment was easy with the map inside her Data-thingie. Luckily she had already been in the right area, so it was a fairly short walk. A few minutes later she was knocking on the door.
  8. "Um well . . . yes I am in the city but I'm not supposed to leave my house, there were guards and everything . . ." Ari sighed, might as well tell her. "I escaped though! so I can come if you send me your address,"
  9. "Yeah?? No one is letting me leave . . . they're worried I'll return to my people and give them human military secrets or something-- not that I have any of those. Your government is terrified I know of some advantage my people can use against then at least."
  10. "Wha- Parprika I'm on Earth? No one is letting me leave." Just then a very loud group of people passed yelling and laughing and the phone defiantly picked it up
  11. Ari chuckled nervously, turning off onto a side street to hopefully eliminate some of the road sounds. "Ooookay what is it?"
  12. "Just fine . . . I mean uh . . . I'm just staying at my house that's all." She was praying the sounds of cars on the street wouldn't reach the phone.
  13. She fumbled a bit with her data-thingie, but finally picked up the call. " . . . Hello? Paprika?"
  14. Amaranthine had been put under house arrest. No one was calling it that but . . . that's what it was. The UN's general confusion as of what to do with her was apparent, and it seemed their final decision was not to make a final decision, instead pushing her into a corner where she'd be out of the way. Luckily, Ari had escaped. Currently she was wandering down one of the city's many busy streets, wondering what on earth she was going to do. She had her ears tucked up and to a hat and wore a long skirt to cover her tail, so no one paid her any mind. Ari's favorite sword was tucked safely inside her coat. The elvish High Priest had contacted her with the Goddesses final decision on their part in the culling war. The plan was to imply they were going to fight, but that they were stalling an official proclamation saying so because they needed to regroup their forces, which had been scattered out on diplomatic trips. It wouldn't last long but it would give them precious time needed to try and gain allies and form a proper rebellion. The elves were good fighters, but had an extremely small population compared to some species. Ari wanted to call Paprika, but her new friend was a member of the government and might turn her in. The nice human would have good intentions of course but it would be a pain to have to escape again. Escaping the planet was hardly an option, security was far too tight, she'd be caught. What to do?

  16. Petition to stop using the very over-used "we've got company" line in fiction, and replace it with the much cooler "something wicked this way comes."
