15!? I thought it was like 6 or something. Never mind that then.

From what I could tell, Elend could do things with just the regular metals Vin would need Duralumin for. Like controlling Hemalurgic Constructs and healing a severe gut wound he recieved at the Well of Ascension by the knife of Preservation. It took Vin months to recover from an axe wound to the gut in book one, but it seems implied that it took much less time for Elend to do the same. Since it was noted he was already fighting Steel Inquisitors with Vin for a while.

Misting Feruchemist or Ferring Mistborn?
JustQuestin2004 replied to Mistchemist16's topic in Mistborn
I'd go with a Nicroburst-Feruchemist. The possibilities of infinite Investiture along with the other Spiritual Feruchemical metals. I might be able to make infinite Unsealed Metalminds. If I'm a Nicroburst-Feruchemist in the Cosmere than even more possibilities arise due to using Unsealed Metalminds or Hemalurgy to gain access to all the other Allomantic powers and more.- 26 replies

Which Shard(s) would you hold?
JustQuestin2004 replied to Mistchemist16's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Could try to slowly Splinter it and chuck most of it's power offworld. If it becomes a problem at least it won't be yours. Could even set up a Well of Ascension just for yourself, so you could repeatedly get bursts of Godhood over time. -
Which Shard(s) would you hold?
JustQuestin2004 replied to Mistchemist16's topic in Cosmere Discussion
For a single Shard I'd choose Autonomy. I do like the thought of freedom. Plus the Avatar thing Bavadin does seems like it'd be pretty fun. I could set up my own mini-Cosmere in some distant corner of the galaxy. As for a Hybrid, I think I'd go for a similar thing as Harmony, with two contrasting Shards might make it easier to remain myself. I'd go with Ambition and Endowment. Reaching higher for myself while also giving stuff to others. I'd be loathe to pick up just any Shard, not if I could choose it, I wouldn't want to turn out like Ati did, subsumed by the Intent of a Shard. -
It's pretty much exactly like Sand Mastery, except you make your stuff instead of Bending pre-existing stuff. Though if your not in a place that has an 'Ambient Investiture Field' than your Aether-stuff will crumble as soon as you stop touching it. I'm thinking that Gold will stave off the effects of dehydration, but when you stop tapping you'll probably die from it unless you drink water before you cease tapping. But yeah Bendalloyminds with water in them will probably work best for Aetherbound.
-
The Ars Arcanum of The Lost Metal says that, like with F-Tin, you store what you eat in one Bendalloymind and store what you drink in another. Maybe, but you'd probably have to continuously tap Gold until you actually drink some water before you stop tapping or you'd die. Like how a Gold Compounder technically doesn't need to breathe but still needs to tap Gold to survive it. I don't think that stuff made by Aethers is particularly Invested, so probably not well. I think that the latter is implied. Investiture goes in, and is converted into physical matter. Or something like that.

It's something to do with what Cultivation did to her. Brandon has said that Lift is something that shouldn't exist. She metabolizes food into Lifelight, she has one foot in the Cognitive Realm which let's her see invisible Spren and touch them, and she doesn't seem to be suffering from a curse like Dalinar or Taravangian did. Right now all we know is that she's really weird. Brandon has said that Book 6 is 'Lift's book' where things will get explained.

Allomancy: Zinc, mostly because it would help to make people more agreeable with me and useful for avoiding a fight by Rioting an assailants feelings of doubt, fear and fatigue. Feruchemy: Tin, because modifying my senses on the go would be really nice, I could make myself deaf now to avoid an annoying sound to hear more crisply later and so on. Compounding: Chromium, because infinite fortune can only be a good thing. Hopefully.

Create your isekai'd stormlight character
JustQuestin2004 replied to bmcclure7's topic in Stormlight Archive
Here's a cool one Status Slave - Parshman +1 Profession Artifabrian -4 Artifacts None Powers Enlighten Spren Bond -5 (Corrupted Mistspren) Boon/Bane -2 (Boon: Far greater ability to understand Rythms and Tones. Bane: Become irreversibly mute) Excuse me for double dipping, but I just thought about a cool idea for a story. Set several years before TWoK. It's about a Parshman who was a pair of spare hands for a brilliant artifabrian who loved to talk aloud, with my character learning all about fabrians and gaining experience with working with them due to this unconventional internship. He was eventually found by Sja-Anat, who was more concious due to the Everstorm and was given a bond to a Corrupted Mistspren named Shran. Due to this strange and unconventional Bond, my character regains sentience and vows to do whatever he can to fix the other Parshmen. He becomes friends with his former master, now actual teacher, and collaborate on this. Though they make zero progress and my character becomes so desperate that he goes to the Nightwatcher to hopefully find answers or at least something helpful. He gains the ability to hear Rythms with a clarity no other Singer could dream of, but loses his ability to talk and attune to Rythms. Leaving him unable to vocally communicate with others without the aid of Shran, who he is very reluctant to show to anyone who isn't a close friend. He still strives for answers and eventually he and his master hear about the Listeners and make their way to the Shattered Plains to try to learn from these 'Parshendi' about the Affliction and why they were not affected by it unlike other Parshmen. All the while trying to not get involved with the war of reckoning, but they do anyway, trying to help the Listeners. -
I think Endowment and Cultivation would work really well together. You give things to people to help them grow, which is essentially what Cultivation is already doing, except this combo would probably have trouble with any 'Pruning' that needs to be done.

So kind of a weird, pretty out-there question, let's say you snip off some of your hair and try to Soulcast it into something else, maybe food. Would it be easier for you to Soulcast it in comparison to Soulcasting someone else's hair? Because you'd have a Connection with that part of you that is now separated. Is this plausible or is this just not how it works? Does Connection with an object help with Soulcasting?

What will Sja-Anat do with Nightblood if they meet?
JustQuestin2004 replied to FuzzyLogic's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well, she's essentially the reason why Taravangian was able to use it to kill Rayse. Without her corrupted Spren to attract Odium's attention to Taravangian at that time, then Taravangian would have just died from Szeth. If you mean in a more direct way, then I doubt it. The process she uses to 'Enlighten' Spren would probably not work on Nightblood due to their ability to Consume any Investiture that touches it. I have a feeling that we've seen the closest Sja-Anat will ever be to Nightblood, which is unnoticed and out of sword swinging range. -
Can Alumnum help Regals regain control?
JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's question in Cosmere Q&A
Yeah, especially since on Scadrial after aluminum becomes dirt cheap, everyone will be wearing one. It's great. But yeh it seems that I've pretty much answered my own question. A Regal could probably maintain at least some control over themselves if they wore aluminum, keeping their awesome powers without becoming slaves. -
Clarifications for Soulcasters requested
JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's topic in Stormlight Archive
So it varies? Good to know. -
So I just need something clarified about Soulcasters (The Fabrials) A typical Soulcaster can turn anything into any one Essence, though some can have up to three Essences? So if a Soulcaster is attuned to, say, the Essence of Metal, can they Soulcast things into any metal or just a particular type of metal? Like Soulcasting one piece of wood into iron, another into steel and another into aluminum?
-
So when a Singer bonds with a Voidspren and becomes a Regal, they gain some kind of cool power but at the cost of essentially becoming a slave to Odium. Could Aluminum provide a hack for this? Let's say a Singer became a Stormform and immediately put on an aluminum-foil hat, would that allow them to keep control or at least reduce Odium's influence over them while keeping their new Forms awesome powers? Here's a WOB that might support my theory: Edit: Here's another I found that seems relevant

Right so a thought just hit me. Can pure Adhesion, a Full Lashing, work on gases? Like if you had a sheet of metal or whatever, then sprayed on a Lashing, then waved it around in the middle of some mist, would the mist get stuck to it and become water?

How did the Oathpact work on the Fused?
JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's question in Cosmere Q&A
Tha would explain why Nale could believe that there could be small pockets of Voidbringers left over, besides his insanity and delusions of course. So Fused could still live on Roshar even after the Heralds go back to Braize, but if they die then they also get sent back to Braize is what you're saying? -
Create your isekai'd stormlight character

Interesting. Trevor Milton Status -Light Eyed Profession -Thief Artifacts -None Powers -Spren Bond (Willshaper) (-5) (Being free seems like something I'd go for.) -Honorblade (Lightweaver) (-4) (Illusions and Soulcasting are pretty good combo) I care not for status or profession, gimme cool powers any day. -
What would Fused with Adhesion be like?
JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's topic in Stormlight Archive
Interesting idea, it might even work with the Spider-Climb so long as the Fused had gauntlets or very tough gloves. I also wonder if they would have some strange dual-Connection between Odium and Honor, since Adhesion is 'Honor's Truest Surge'? Maybe they'd be able to breathe in Stormlight as well as Voidlight? Edit: Here's a thought, since most Fused think Adhesion isn't a true Surge, they might discriminate against the Binded Ones due to this belief? Could lead to these hypothetical Binded Ones turning against Odium like some of the Shayan-im did.- 19 replies

What would Fused with Adhesion be like?
JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes but we don't know for sure if anyone other than a Bondsmith can use the Spiritual Applications of their Surges. Edit: Both Bondsmiths and Windrunners can stick stuff together with regular Adhesion, but we've never seen a Windrunner use Adhesion to Connect themselves to someone else to speak another language.- 19 replies

JustQuestin2004 replied to JustQuestin2004's topic in Stormlight Archive
That's an application of Spiritual Adhesion, the kind of Adhesion that Bondsmiths can use. Not sure if any other kind of Surgebinder could use it but it's an alright suggestion.- 19 replies

So how did the Oathpact boot the Fused off of Roshar? Including the alive ones? Did it rip the Fused's souls out of whatever bodies they were inhabiting or did it transport them to Braize when they died?
-
As we know, there are no Fused with access to the Surge of Adhesion. But what if there was one that did? What could they do? What would they be called? My idea is that they would be called "The Binded Ones", I'm not sure what they're 'Passive' ability would be, I originally thought that it would be that they could use Full Lashing on their own bodies to stick to things, like Spider-Man, and crawl on walls and stuff. But apparently you can't use Full Lashing on yourself for some reason? Any other ideas?
