I just realized we aren't officially Shardbuddies.
I haven't put much stock in them lately, because there are lots of people who I could technically consider my shardbuddies, but I don't want to ask all of them because...there's a lot.
But you've been around long enough I feel like I should at least add you.
That okay?

I have not been very active lately.
Oh, I visit the site a lot, but I never really say anything except for perhaps a few scattered status update replies.
I feel kind of bad about it...I used to be far more active...I'm not sure what dissuaded me. Maybe it's that I had put a lot of stock in the RP sector, but with my senior year being so busy any RPs that I've considered joining or did join just exploded so quickly I couldn't keep up. And maybe there are some other things...
So...yeah.
I have a few more days of crunch time when I'll be finishing up final projects
that I've been procrastinating. Ah, procrastination, my constant companion...But after that my winter break starts...so, I might try to get back into things. Interject myself back into TLT. Re-start my plot in Insanity Clinic and catch up on what happened while I was gone. Find some other RPs to get briefed on and join. Maybe even start one, if I'm feeling ambitious. Or join one of these Hunger Game RPs that I hear are very popular lately...Or I might not. We'll see how it goes.
If I did start joining some RPs again, any suggestions on what I should do? What would you guys like to see me participate in? Does anyone have some plot summaries for the threads that I've completely lost track of? What is the deal with the various Sanderson themed Hunger Games?
Thanks for putting up with me, guys.

Happy (early?) Birthday!

I wrote this for a school assignment, believe it or not.
It's built around a bunch of different worldbuilding ideas that are flying around my head right now.
Very rough.
But here it is.
SpoilerDid I ever tell you the story of King Eganir?
No? Oh. Well, on second thought, I suppose that makes sense. It was never really a story for one as young as you were. Not a very happy tale, his.
You want to hear it?
Hm…well, if you insist.
Long ago there was an ancient world by the name of Antia, of the sun Krenos. You know of Krenos, yes, and what you know of that bleak place probably tells you already that this isn’t going to end well.
Regardless, Antia was a beautiful world. It had deep, rich oceans, sprawling continents, towering mountains, lush forests, stark tundras, verdant plains, and bustling kingdoms. Greatest of these kingdoms was the Kingdom of Antia, which had long ago unified the people of Antia under a single banner, hence the uncreative name. All other nations pledged allegiance and subservience to the Kingdom, and the world was at peace.
Now, you’ll know of the Signants, I’ll assume. Weapons in an ancient conflict long forgotten, scattered across the worlds. Disregarded by many as legend. Well, Antia housed one of these eldritch items, capable of changing futures and cleaving reality. No one really knew where. Only that it was somewhere on the planet. This wasn’t all that important for quite a while, but you’ll want to keep it in mind.
Antia, being unified within itself and withholding prosperity for its people, was able to reach out to other worlds with hospitality and kindness. Most notably was the planet Ken’tir, a small, cold world also of the sun Krenos. The planet’s people struggled to survive, making their homes and lives in the molten caverns beneath the frozen surface of the planet. Whenever possible, Antia would reach out and help them in their eras of desperation. Though they served as the homes of different peoples, Antia and Ken’tir became siblings, sisters of the same sun, helping each other in times of need.
This prosperity and peace continued for many generations. Many just rulers of Antia were born, reigned, and died, each carving their place in history and leaving a legacy to build upon. Since the unification of Antia (which you don’t need to know the details of) a total of twenty kings and queens sat on the throne.
The twenty-first was King Eganir.
This is his story.

English is a hard language.
It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

I finished the signed copy of Defiant that I managed to snag after the release event.
It was very good. Tied up the series nicely with an awesome ending that gave me chills, while nicely setting up for Skyward Legacy.
Also, (Spoilers if you've read Starsight but not Cytonic):
SpoilerHesho is my new favorite character, I think.

But how much Sanderson have you read?
