  2. I just realized we aren't officially Shardbuddies.

I haven't put much stock in them lately, because there are lots of people who I could technically consider my shardbuddies, but I don't want to ask all of them because...there's a lot.

But you've been around long enough I feel like I should at least add you.

    That okay?

Sure! I'll put you on my signature too.

  3. Meanwhile, the Ghanderflaffle Empire was rising again, using the pineapples that suddenlied into existence to fuel their expansion. It was in this rising empire that Rym found himself existing again. He blinked in as he stood in the streets of a bustling capital city, Ghanderflaffles rushing every which way. "Um," he said, to no one in particular. He reached out to his Narrator, but strangely, couldn't find anything. That's not good. Rym wore simple sturdy travelling clothing and his Mordite sword on his back, sheathed in a leather scabbard and with the hilt wrapped in brown fabric to hide it's nature. He hadn't done that. Something very strange is going on... Confused, Rym started walking through the streets of the city, trying to figure out where he was and what was happening.
  4. @danex. Not sure what happened to him, nor do I think I'm qualified enough to memorialize him. He might just be a little inactive. ...He was a cool guy. I liked his SUs. Hopefully we'll see him around again sometime. I second this, but would also like to mention @Channelknight Fadran's exquisite SUs. Both he and danex were masters at those little updates. I kind of hope to aspire to their point sometime, as there's a lack of SUs like that these days. But everything you said about Fadran was correct.

  6. Personally, Sazed or Elend. I think I'd have good discussions with them over topics I find interesting, especially Sazed. Both of them seem tidy and kind, and I think we'd get along. There might be roommates that would be better for my development as a person though, being just enough of a contrast to get me to grow. Adolin would do a good job of getting me out of my shell in many cases. Raoden might also be good, though it's been a minute since I've read Elantris so I don't remember all the intricacies of his personality.
  7. I have not been very active lately.

Oh, I visit the site a lot, but I never really say anything except for perhaps a few scattered status update replies.

I feel kind of bad about it...I used to be far more active...I'm not sure what dissuaded me. Maybe it's that I had put a lot of stock in the RP sector, but with my senior year being so busy any RPs that I've considered joining or did join just exploded so quickly I couldn't keep up. And maybe there are some other things...

    So...yeah.

I have a few more days of crunch time when I'll be finishing up final projects that I've been procrastinating. Ah, procrastination, my constant companion... But after that my winter break starts...so, I might try to get back into things. Interject myself back into TLT. Re-start my plot in Insanity Clinic and catch up on what happened while I was gone. Find some other RPs to get briefed on and join. Maybe even start one, if I'm feeling ambitious. Or join one of these Hunger Game RPs that I hear are very popular lately...

Or I might not. We'll see how it goes.

If I did start joining some RPs again, any suggestions on what I should do? What would you guys like to see me participate in? Does anyone have some plot summaries for the threads that I've completely lost track of? What is the deal with the various Sanderson themed Hunger Games?

Thanks for putting up with me, guys.

*mumbling softly* too much more harassment and I might stop being a gm...probably not though.

      I don't know what it'll be, sorry.

Ikr the GMs of Threnody deserve a chance of harassing me for all that harassment that went on then

  8. I suppose it's also possible to summon a spren as a Shardbullet that could be loaded into a gun, so while the gun itself wouldn't be magical in nature, the projectile would still have the properties of a Shardblade.
  9. I think the definition of nerd is a little broader than what some may assume. I know socially competent attractive people who are also nerds. But I digress. I still belong here. And I think regardless of social standing and/or physical appearance, if you're willing to make an account here, you're a nerd. So everyone belongs here. If you find anyone who's unwilling to admit their nerd status, ping me. I'll handle it.
  10. You seen the new Dune Part 2 trailer yet?

  12. ...I haven't read Pride and Prejudice.
  13. We could do regency era in a world that suffered an apocalypse, so once had guns and stuff, but society reverted because of the apocalypse. So there's like skyscraper ruins off in the distance, but we're in a chateau or something having a ball and ignoring the fact that our distant ancestors all almost died. And making jewelry out of broken electronics or something. If I remember, it was to add a layer of pressure to the situation, making the relationships more interesting, and also giving there a reason to rush relationships that would otherwise take too long to be RP-able. Basically the world is going to end, and the characters want to find love before the end.
  14. I wrote this for a school assignment, believe it or not.

It's built around a bunch of different worldbuilding ideas that are flying around my head right now.

    Very rough.

    But here it is.

    Spoiler

Did I ever tell you the story of King Eganir?

No? Oh. Well, on second thought, I suppose that makes sense. It was never really a story for one as young as you were. Not a very happy tale, his.

    You want to hear it?

    Hm…well, if you insist.

Long ago there was an ancient world by the name of Antia, of the sun Krenos. You know of Krenos, yes, and what you know of that bleak place probably tells you already that this isn’t going to end well.

Regardless, Antia was a beautiful world. It had deep, rich oceans, sprawling continents, towering mountains, lush forests, stark tundras, verdant plains, and bustling kingdoms. Greatest of these kingdoms was the Kingdom of Antia, which had long ago unified the people of Antia under a single banner, hence the uncreative name. All other nations pledged allegiance and subservience to the Kingdom, and the world was at peace.

Now, you’ll know of the Signants, I’ll assume. Weapons in an ancient conflict long forgotten, scattered across the worlds. Disregarded by many as legend. Well, Antia housed one of these eldritch items, capable of changing futures and cleaving reality. No one really knew where. Only that it was somewhere on the planet. This wasn’t all that important for quite a while, but you’ll want to keep it in mind.

Antia, being unified within itself and withholding prosperity for its people, was able to reach out to other worlds with hospitality and kindness. Most notably was the planet Ken’tir, a small, cold world also of the sun Krenos. The planet’s people struggled to survive, making their homes and lives in the molten caverns beneath the frozen surface of the planet. Whenever possible, Antia would reach out and help them in their eras of desperation. Though they served as the homes of different peoples, Antia and Ken’tir became siblings, sisters of the same sun, helping each other in times of need.

This prosperity and peace continued for many generations. Many  just rulers of Antia were born, reigned, and died, each carving their place in history and leaving a legacy to build upon. Since the unification of Antia (which you don’t need to know the details of) a total of twenty kings and queens sat on the throne.

    The twenty-first was King Eganir.

    This is his story.

  18. I finished the signed copy of Defiant that I managed to snag after the release event.

It was very good. Tied up the series nicely with an awesome ending that gave me chills, while nicely setting up for Skyward Legacy.

Also, (Spoilers if you've read Starsight but not Cytonic):

    Spoiler

Hesho is my new favorite character, I think.
