  1. I appear out of the Depths of Inactivity, snatch the sandwich, and then fade away into the universe.
  2. Avi watched as Kaeni placed her ore on the altar, then vanish. She walked over to do the same. She paused, though. She turned back to Death, wanting to say something. But staring at that timeless figure, she lost her nerve. She nodded respectfully, then turned and placed her ore on the altar. I can ask later...I have quite a while before that point, anyway. Avi vanished.
  3. What do they mean by "select?" Isn't it all the same? Avi looked around at the gleaming white iron around her. It all looked the same. Except... A small piece of the ore seemed to glint in an invisible light. Like a star amongst the whiteness. Avi stood up, walked over, and picked up the piece of ore. Up close, it didn't look any different. But it felt right in a way she couldn't explain. Avi walked back over to Death and held out her ore.
  4. Rym spun, and kept one hand on his sword while he walked towards the rubble. A survivor?
  5. Island on a Distant World They searched the island all day, and did not find any sign of any information. "Well," Bookwyrm said. "We'd better get back to the camp I set up. We can search the other side of the island tomorrow." He led them to the shore of the lagoon, where he had set up a tent, some chairs, a campfire, and other equipment. The twin suns were lowering on the other side of the island, and they would soon set behind the mountain that Bookwyrm had first arrived on. Bookwyrm managed to catch a few fish, which he prepared to cook over the fire. He looked to The Shrai and Lark. "Do either of you actually eat?" @UnfortunatelyNamed @Being of Cacophony
  6. Hm. Rym looked around, scanning the ruined buildings for any sign of life or clue.
  7. Rym called upon a bit of Narration power to point himself in the right direction. Ahem... Rym was facing the right direction. He started walking across the desert in that direction.
  8. My brother the coin collector wants those coins.
  9. Rym was smart. But he was also very curious. He sent Bookwyrm a quick mental message explaining what he was doing. Then he drew his Mordite blade and pointed it at Subversion's throat. "I'll investigate," he said. "But if anything goes wrong in the slightest..." He let the threat hang in the air as he stepped through the portal and into the sun-baked dunes. @UnfortunatelyNamed
  10. If we count normal people, I have a year and a half before I'm adulting. If we count the state I live in, I have two and a half years before I'm adulting. I'll probably be on my mission in about two years.
  11. Oh yeah, this thread. What's been going on here?
  12. I never copy pasted from my GM PM; I just summarized in my own words what I could do with my ability.
  13. "Aaaaaaaaa! Sorry, I fell down a rabbit hole in my head." - @TheGreatSnail ***** "The shrubbery was enflamed and then it started talking to him." - @TheGreatSnail ***** "He was hanging out with his friends." - @TheGreatSnail "Yeah, and all his friends said 'baaa'." - My dad, who is also our seminary teacher. "Yeah, the shepens." - @TheGreatSnail
  14. "Seriously, though, why should I trust you?" Rym asked, folding his arms. "It sounds to me like you're specifically luring me into a death trap." Bookwyrm frowned. "I was unaware that it had occurred..." He turned and looked at Eof. "So why are you here?"
  15. Rym blinked. "Who, me? Or were you still talking to Kilometers?" Bookwyrm walked over to Eof and gazed across the water bottle forest. "Well," he said. "I'm confused now."
  16. "I can vouch for your extreme untrustworthiness," Rym said. "Also, fair point about Butt." Bookwyrm attempted to teleport to Eof's house again to check on him and his family.
  17. ...Yoinking noises? Also, I wonder how much the Shard will change when I go on my mission. Will it even be recognizable when I return... 1503
  18. I'm beginning to regret the decision. It was made hastily, and probably also based in the fact that I thought I might accumulate suspicion otherwise. I'm not the best at this whole SE thing. Yet.
  19. HAPPY (admittedly a tiny bit early) Birthday!

I don't know where you went but I hope you're doing good!

...I want to edit the inconsistency in the all caps status of some of those words and I can't and it's frustrating.

  20. Bookwyrm wondered idly if finding Eof was a good idea. Rym appeared by Subversion, Platypus, and Witless. "TLT can't be destroyed. It can be swallowed by chaos, but that's it's normal state anyway. And the Narrators and Avatars are basically immune to that, as are vital characters like Eof and Butt."
  21. I would just like to say that your Rank title makes me laugh every time I see it for some reason.

I've begun quoting it to my siblings. It's a saying among us now.

  22. Yeah, I fully expect to be dead in the next two cycles. Either the elims kill me, or they don't and lots of people assume I'm an elim because I didn't get eliminated.
