  1. Question for the Southern Hemisphere person (I asked Telrao, too):

What's it like to see the moon upside-down? What's it like to see it it wax on the left and wane on the right?

I'm used to it so it doesn't seem particularly strange to me, however, when i went to the States all the stars were wrong and the moon was all weird. So I may ask the same of you: What's it like to see the moon upside-down?

I suppose the same way; I'm just used to it.

I also spend too much time staring at the moon anyway, so sometimes it looks weird no matter where I am on the planet.

Not that I've ever been to the Southern Hemisphere...sadly.

Apparently they made some deal with Disney, because we just watch it on Disney Plus.

As the oldest of six kids, I empathize strongly with so much of that show...and so does the rest of my family.

It's basically just a parenting show in disguise.

I have heard that some minor changes were made in the US version, and at least one episode was never released in the US at all.

But yeah. It's caused at least some of a stir over here on our side of the planet. It's a very good show.

Actually, it was an episode of Bluey that made me first realize that the moon's phases looked different in the Southern Hemisphere.

      The Disney Monopoly strikes again!

And also - cool! I probably wouldn't have noticed that detail :P

  3. Bookwyrm wondered when the plot was actually going to start. His Author wasn't sure. Bookwyrm sighed.
  4. I mean, Avatar the avatar is basically evil. He'd be okay with it. But, personally, I like TLT. And don't want it to be destroyed. And it'll come back anyway. Look at the last time we tried to re-start the universe. Bookwyrm sat in his secret location, feeling weird that his author was talking to someone. Bookwyrm was basically a version of his author; they were, in many ways, the same person. And yet so different in many others. Plot is weird.
  5. Island on a Distant World: Flower Field Bookwyrm felt a force push against his sword, as if The Shrai's sword was a magnet of the same polarity. Strange... "I'd have no way of knowing," Bookwyrm said, lowering his sword. "It's a possibility. But it could also be something else. This world has a secret, or at least a connection to other worlds with secrets. Perhaps that's what you were sensing." "True." Bookwyrm's sword vanished, but he kept his guard up around The Shrai. "We should keep searching," he said, looking at the twin suns in the sky. One a bright yellow, the other a dim red. The larger moon with cracks in it's surface had crossed the horizon, but the smaller, smoothed surface one was still visible. "It's about an hour past noon. We should get back to the camp by nightfall, but we still have time to search."
  6. @InfiniteInsanity can complain to you about how much I do this.
  7. ....Wow, okay. Stuff happened. I will have more thoughts in the future, I hope.
  8. Avi lay there in the darkness of sleep, and a voice came to her. You cannot stop just yet. You have a future. I have things I need you to do, Avi. But you also have things you need to do, against the will of anyone else. Go. This is not your end. A faint glimmer of strength filled Avi, like a single star in a deep void. She woke up, Managed to get to her knees, and crawled to the shining portal. A flash of blinding white, and suddenly her pain and exhaustion vanished.
  9. Thank you Thaidakar doing what I could not! This is so much more sustainable!
  10. Wouldn't be the first time, honestly. On the shard, or in real life. I was at work. Like Calano probably is right now.
  11. This is me with like 75% of all trains. And like 95% of all D1 trains.
  12. ....Oh. Elims. I forgot a crucial thing. Okay, let me rethink this... Devo EDIT: This is one of my performative posts, isn't it? I'm bad at not being suspicious.
  13. Fair. I meant that he basically roleclaimed over the space of three posts rather than one. And I know just as much as you do, unless you know more than me. Would you like me to freely give out details?
  14. Devo This is an out of the blue poke vote, I know, but please keep in mind that I have a weird role. Doing a Wiz and teasing my role instead of outright declaring it.
  15. It's called a poke vote for a reason. And now you're here! So we're good! Fae Oh, great, now who do I vote...
  16. The exchange was set to take place in a chasm.
