  1. Dragonsteel would make sense if it weren't for the fact that it grows on dragons bodies naturally(or is implied to do so). There's also no reason in my mind that aluminum shouldn't apply to dragons. They're ancient and powerful, but plenty of other people are powerful and affected by aluminum. More like they're in an area without a cognitive notion of the sun. The Emberdark is far away from the centers of thought and civilization.
  2. Xisis owning the ship also gave people the impression that Crow is the captain. Note that the bracers are "silver against her skin" I don't know but that implies this is either silver or aluminum interacting with dragon magic. My guess is aluminum, and the silver is in there to throw us off. Full aetherbound appears to mean simply be fully bonded to a live aether(as opposed to a dead one). The radiant seems to be a skybreaker to me, since he flew in just his shardplate, and the windrunner glyph looks nothing like a bird. That said some others were suggesting a radiant with transportation, though I find that suspect, given the flight and the radiant asking about laws.
  3. I assume this is in reference to the delay?
  4. Dangit I really wanted it to not be a sequel. Rusts Oh well, it's no matter.
  5. I know the plan is still to have just a reading, no discussion today, however there appears to be some delay in posting. Keep an eye on your inbox if you are signed up for the newsletter and be patient.
  6. It's been well established that it is a pre-recorded video today, dropping probably at noon est, and a Livestream to discuss it tomorrow. Of course there's a lot of people (unintentionally) spreading misinformation, but official word from Brandon in his weekly updates is as stated above.
  7. Can you explain what was weird with the equinox?

      The Bookwyrm

      Huh.

Yeah, I don't know about it... I'll do some research.

  8. All things denote there is a God I wrote about FSY in English class. It wasn't the best writing, because I only had 45 minutes for it, but it was fun.
  9. The discord memes don't land so well with me for some reason. I like cremposting content, as long as it's SFV
  10. The benefits from heightenings are confirmed by WoB to occur continuously, not discretely, so gaining breaths is the right term.
  11. The problem with using armor that is solely aluminum is that even if you are guaranteed to face a shardbearer and only them is that you still have to contend with the physical force of the blow. I'm not sure how much the resistance of the aluminum will slow down their swing, but the blade with have a lot of momentum being so big. That said, a combo of aluminum and a harder metal will be quite effective, as already mentioned by three people.
  12. It's your birthday? That's insane, cause mine is Friday.

We joined at the same time too. Wild.

Happy birthday! I know I'm a bit late, I rarely check the shard forums.

  13. Everyone go here and vote against resistance march. We can't let the sequel trilogy live.

      Don't vote against John Williams.

      Thaidakar the Ghostblood

March of the Resistance is a storming BANGER! The resistance in the films SUCK, but their theme song is a... storms, I can't say that word, can I? It's a frickin' banger. What else from John Williams?

      Lego Mistborn

That may be, but the other song was great too, in my opinion.

  14. My point is that it is not the same, just that it is likely a simpler method. An even simpler method would be aluminum, which I believe should block Great point. This is very important to keep in mind.
  15. Hypothetically, yes, with at least two caveats. We sort of see instances where this could be happening, but they all require shards to be doing this. To put it simply, you would need shardic levels of power to protect against shardic levels of seeking. Although, if the shard isn't looking for you this power requirement can be lowered. This won't stop said shard from finding you in other ways, and I'd imagine if you used investiture affiliated with that shard, they could be able to detect it Overall, a seeking on their own could not do this. If Harmony wanted to give them a hand, then they probably could escape Odium's notice, albeit taxing harmony quite a bit Caveat 3: OB spoilers
  16. When you see the word determined and think it's a new type of metalmind for a sec When you name your jeopardy team the knights radiant to try and gauge other's reactions.
  17. We've watched almost all of those. I don't like TV as much as the rest of them though.
  18. I think it does. I don't know anything about it. I'm anticipating grand apparatus
  19. I haven't read it, but my understanding is that it has to take place before TLM, since (Reply to royalbeemage)
  20. I think aether of night is too early in the timeline
  21. There is a thread somewhere with speculation about the subject.
  22. But it supports Grand Apparatus. I don't think it's a sequel to something already written, but rather a completely new setting. There was some hesitance when discussing SA, so it could be related to that.
