  1. Sequence extended a message out to the universe. Sequence jumped, summoning Conflict (quick question, does Conflict take a form that imitates and reflects the power of your opponent, or does it take a form that’s the opposite of your opponent to counter them?), and her Narrationblade, which took the form of a very shiny and very reflective shield.
  2. Dangit, I swore I read all the posts prior to this correctly! Gahhh why are you all so confusing…
  3. Sequence quickly pulled her hand away, frowning as she looked at the vines. “Well drat.” She summoned Conflict, who took the form of a flaming double-edged great sword. She sighed, then started slashing into the vines to the best of her ability. She was marginally sure that there were people in danger in here, and also Gail! Gail was cool.
  4. … There was a knock at the mass of vines blocking the doorway.
  5. No worries! To add info, edits can always help, and if you need to add a quote or something else unavailable in an edit, you can probably make good use of the new merge feature. (I am quite scatterbrained, so I certainly know I will )
  6. If the posts merge, it’s not taking up extra space and is therefore not a double post, and instead a usable feature! (At least, I’d imagine so. I can’t see why it would still count, but maybe don’t quote me on that.) As for repercussions, I don’t really know. I do know that accidents happen, and it’s not a huge deal. Plus, the mods are awesome and understanding. So basically, double-posting should be avoided but we’re all human and we all make mistakes sometimes .
  7. Ahh, I used to! Even like, two measly years ago! But now, not even caffeine can keep me awake… The Person Below Me listens to “weird” music on a daily basis.
  8. Yeah, the only way to do so is through the “quote” button in the top bar, but doing that doesn’t specify who the quote is from, nor notify the person, so this new post merge feature is quite awesome
  9. I discovered that feature earlier today after accidentally double posting, and honestly… SO NICE. Being able to essentially edit your message, but add quotes!! You couldn’t do that before!!
  10. Am I the only one who visually imagines withergeists as like... a cross between a dementor and the ink creatures from Bendy and the Ink Machine? With like, some extra ghost-y fog?
  11. "Unfortunate. Tull, it seems like you were correct. Your friends are indeed gone for good." Everyone clapped their hands together. "Welp! That's my job done. I wish you all a lovely day." Everyone's eyes didn't leave the machine.
  12. Everyone examined the inner workings closely. "Hm. So there is truly no hope for those trapped?"
  13. Everyone nodded slowly. "I suppose that makes sense. Could I see the inside of the machine?" If it wasn't completely clear, all the plots and stories happening are, in the sense of story, in the same "universe." Like a character that exists in one can go to another, and plots and stories end and start all the time. It's almost like... less of an RP with one singular focus, and just a world where everything exists and various things happen. Feel free to pop in in any manner you please, anywhere you please! There aren't really any rules to power, as Xino said, just as long as you're respectful of everybody . Welcome!
  14. Everyone looked thoughtful. "Could time, perhaps, be borrowed from somewhere else to allow the escape of those trapped inside, then returned to it's original realm?"
  15. "Recycle time, hmm? So time must be already present in a place for this machine to function, and the realm in question has none left?"
  16. Everyone stepped closer, examining it closely. “So replace the clocks. Doesn’t seem like that big a deal.” They touched the side of the machine, leaning close and searching for a way inside.
  17. Everyone frowned, and thought for a moment. “… May I see the machine?”
  18. "Can it hold off the true end a bit longer to extract the people trapped there?"
  19. "Seems like a different thing. To my understanding, there's a machine that controls the flow of time that must be repaired, yes? That seems doable. It's a machine. Plus, the realm in question is unreal space. Isn't that somewhere of your concern?"
  20. "One way or another." Everyone said, once again. "Why not give it a try? Tull is awfully upset about it, and unfortunately, my empathy is permanent." Everyone had gotten quite proficient at lying.
  21. Everyone fell silent. "One way or another." They repeated.
  22. "The brave adventurer?" Everyone thought for a moment. "Not very much. She blessed him with legendary knife-wielding and swordsmanship skills, and he helped her earn Conflict. I haven't heard of him since, and Sequence hasn't spoke about him, but I believe he's dead... Can't quite remember where I heard it."
