    “Hm. Well, I guess we’ll see! He can’t be that bad.”

    “The inspector…?” Sequence thought for a moment. “That sounds familiar, but I do not recall… Give me a moment…” Sequence produced a notebook and began flipping through it. Sequence jumped, quite startled by yet another spontaneous appearance. She looked at Hacob in alarm for a moment. “… I- … Well, last I encountered Onyx, I found him to be quite tolerable…”

    “I see… I remember you, Tull. Good to see you again! Ista, Erif, I do believe this is our first time meeting! If it isn’t, I apologize. I’m not great with names. Lovely to meet you all! Anyways, Onyx, hmm? What do you want with Onyx?”

    Sequence blinked. “… Yes, yes! I am Sequence. And who might you all be?”

    Sequence jumped as the newcomers appeared, looking up and quite startled. Fuzzy thought for a moment. “Less noise, more cupcakes.”

    “Too looouuudd…” Fuzzy whined. “But otherwise very quick and on demand.” She did a little thumbs-up, then went back to cowering on the ground.

    Fuzzy shrieked in terror at the sudden influx of loud noises and she promptly dove to the floor and curled into the fetal position.

    “Bacon the Bard, Bacon the Bard, Bacon the Bard!!” Fuzzy shouted.

    "Seems fair enough! I'll go try to find Yrank and Sasha, though first, I think I'll pay the Brave Adventurer a visit! Just to hear him out, y'know? It's only fair. Bye bye!" Sequence spun in a circle and vanished in a puff of smoke before Bacon could respond, as she was partially worried he'd object. She couldn't be certain about how biased he might be. Sequence, not particularly wanting to intrude, appeared somewhere adjacent to the Brave Adventurer's approximate location, and sent out a message into the universe. Hello, Brave Adventurer! I am the Narrator Sequence, and I wish to meet with you! It has come to my attention that there is a conflict in the Thread, and I'm interested in helping it reach a relatively peaceful conclusion. I'd like to hear out the motivations of all the sides involved, as a start. Please meet with me when you can! Sincerely, Sequence @NameIess

    "Understood! Before I go, I have one more question. Why do we oppose the Brave Adventurer and his army?"

    "Certainly!" Sequence gave a little bow. "Regrouping, yes... I will see what I can do. Is there anybody who needs assistance sooner than others?"

    "Ahhh... That's sorta what I thought. Many thanks! Maybe I could join this group! I'm very fond of Gail and Nogard, and I know... little of the rest, besides the fact that Subversion was a... enemy of sorts. She killed someone whom everybody rather liked, I believe. But that was a long time ago. I should probably get to know her better, considering she's a fellow Narrator and also the... what's the word... successor of Nameless? Something along those lines. And I considered Nameless to be a good friend of mine. All of that considered, this 'Brave Adventurer' fellow is probably a bad guy. ... Though maybe I should hear out the arguments of both sides..." Sequence took a deep breath as well. "Anyways! As for a name for the group! A very diverse group indeed... If they are opposing the Brave Adventurers, then perhaps... 'The Bravest Expeditioners'! Or maybe... 'The Rather Cowardly Politicians'! Y'know, just for the sake of being contrary."

    Sequence and Fuzzy both applauded from their seats. Sequence raised her hand. "Excuse me? I'm still not exactly clear who the Nameless Adventurers, or the unnamed heroes, or ... whatever, are. Is that just everybody who is opposing the 'Brave Adventurers'? And are said 'Brave Adventurers' like... an army led by the Brave Adventurer, who's a sort of villain? That's what I was able to gather from all this, anyway." Sequence sat down, feeling and looking frightfully dizzy.

    "Hmm.. Tell me about some of them, maybe based on that a good name for their collective group will come to me!"

    Sequence stared at Bacon blankly. "Uhhhhh... Yes..? Could you maybe tell me where I could find them..?"

    "Ooh!" Sequence clapped her hands together excitedly. "Goodie! I'll have Fuzzy take more notes for me. ... And I'll also listen in. Maximum information retention."

    Sequence stared off into space blankly. "... Sort of..? I've been trying to learn, okay! I even went and asked... Hacob, I think his name is, about the General!"

    "... Hm. Well... Participating in epic battles without like... context and preamble is a bit difficult, y'know? I'll make an effort to be involved in uh... Thread... Politics...?"

    "Well, there are certainly other, less dangerous ways of epic battles happening. Point me towards evil! I'll help the uh.. the Good Side™ ...? I'm not a wonderful fighter, but I am a Narrator. A Narrator who's seen a great deal of destruction, mind you!"

    Sequence sat at a desk nearby, and raised her hand. "Excuse me! Excuse me! Could you tell me more about this 'General' character? They seem fascinating!"

    “No… No, I don’t think so. I need to be absolutely 100% sure that I can trust whomever I’m giving it to, and I feel like a competition like that wouldn’t be a sure way of finding out. And also, I don’t even think I’m going to give Conflict away yet. That was just a thought, not a decision.”
