I don't recall a showdown with Madness, either! Must've been somebody else. "The pact?" Sequence asked, taking a seat on a woven rocking chair, and gesturing for Pyk to do the same. Another chair sat across from her.- 111800 replies

"Oh goodness..." Sequence frowned. "Was Dint a friend of yours? I'm terribly sorry." Sequence held up one hand top stop him from speaking further if he tried. "I understand, but there will be no violence on my world, no matter what. If Perseus tries something here, he will be punished. Same goes for you. So therefore, there should be no need for conflict. Plus, Perseus already left." Sequence sighed. "A shame, really. I rather like him." Sequence scratched her chin idly. "Depends on who you mean by Him. If you mean the Brave Adventurer, the General, or any of your other little nemeses, then yes. However, they'll abide by my rules. If you mean the Witherlord, also yes. But, any invitations will wither away in any proximity to a creature such as he, so there's nothing to worry about." "Stop!" Sequence shouted again, her tone this time laced with power and reverberation. With that, raw molten god-metal flowed from the ground, and proceeded to encase the Render in a solid orb of containment. The metal itself was an iridescent purple color. "Side character??" Sequence put a hand to her chest, looking outraged. "Don't say that! You're no more of a 'side-character' than I am! I'd love to help you find some of said Plotblades sometime. Maybe that way we'll be a bit more successful." She paused. "Though I'll ensure that you are indeed the 'main character' of the adventure." She smiled and winked. 'As for adventures, not really... I met some new people, experimented with some things on this world of mine, helped some people find Onyx, had a chat with the Brave Adventurer—dashing fellow, by the way—, and uh... Yeah, that's about it."- 111800 replies

Sequence sighed, nodding understandingly. “Governments… Awfully odd those things are.” ”So I heard.” Sequence said. “Well, Onyx has a lot to deal with, I’m sure. Maybe we can try again in a few dozen pages, if you still need him.”- 111800 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)

Sequence's World, ever attentive to the needs of its guests, provided. It began to rain. The deck was shielded by an invisible barrier, but beyond that, it fell freely. Ripples of droplets sprinkled all across the vast lake, causing a pleasant shimmering affect in concert with the reflection of the setting sun. The rain itself was warm, and almost felt like it was hitting with less force when it connected, as if the raindrops were hollow. "That's harder than it seems, in reality. Not quite as simple as Narrating a barrier that prevents violence, y'know? I think it's easier to keep an eye out manually, and take are of it myself when the time arises. This is my planet, and that gives me some extra leverage, so to say. I don't really think anybody will incite violence anyways." Sequence laughed. "Don't worry, I get it. I'll take it as a compliment! But yes, I am in fact... 30. Yeah. 30 years. 15,000 days. Yes." Sequence shifted awkwardly. "Well, good luck then! And for the record, I don't think you're too fearsome. "Nice to meet you, Pyk! I am indeed Sequence, and I welcome you to Sequence's World! Tell me a bit about yourself! How long have you been around? Have you gone on any interesting adventures? What are some of your interests?" Sequence smiled as she approached. "Welcome! I remember you, Ista! I believe I, and later Everyone, helped you and your compatriots find Onyx, no? How have you been?" "Welcome!" Sequence said to Kion as he appeared. "Welcome to-" She stopped and her eyes widened as she spotted the charging Render. "Hey! Wait, stop!" Thick wooden roots grew up from the ground to wrap around the Render's legs in a very strong attempt to keep it stationary." Sequence looked just a touch dizzy. "Well, the Plotblade of Conflict has the ability to grow in power to match that of your opponent, whomever it may be. Very useful, actually." She shifted uncomfortably at the fairy's mention of her reaction to her memory. "It isn't important. Unintelligible, on the other hand, is quite important! I consider him to be a good friend of mine. Way back in the day, I helped him on a quest to save the Narrator known as Nameless, and Unintelligible's feats were quite impressive. Later on, he saved me from some scary people... Uh... Saved me from some more scary people... He helped me find the Dreamsmith, who crafted this lovely thing for me." She held out her hand, and a dagger reminiscent of a kunai appeared in her hand with a puff of smoke. It was colored cyan and white, with a wickedly sharp edge and a gemstone inset in the center. Sequence admired it happily. She then turned to Natsu's questions, laughing a bit as her cheeks flushed in embarassment. "'Narrator of all Narrators'? That's a bit of an exaggeration. There have certainly been Narrators more prominent than I! And, although I don't think any of them made their own planets, they certainly could have without much effort." Sequence smiled at the comments on peace. "Well, thank you! I certainly hope it holds. And, if it doesn't, I have full confidence in my ability to deescalate the situation. Whether that be through banishment, or more... brutal means." A slight flicker of something dark flashes across Sequence's face. "Peace is very important to me, and there will not be any fighting on my world. Not as long as I live and breathe." Sequence gasped and quickly wrapped Unintelligible in a big hug. "It's so good to see you, old friend! No worries at all, this party will last as long as it needs to. How have you been? What have you been up to?" Sequence offered him a cup of tea as she released him.- 111800 replies

She sighed again, scratching her head. This time, she thought much quieter. Is that... abnormal? What is the average lifespan of a... Wait, do I look like a human? Is that what I'd be? What's the average lifespan of a human? Sequence did in fact, look like a human. She had shoulder-length wavy brown hair, and slightly olive toned skin. She was also rather tall, not extremely so, but a bit above average. "Yeah. I had quite a bit of time for this. I started planning a couple dozen pages ago, I believe. She chuckled and nodded. "How would you go about it?" Sequence gave an exasperated and dejected sigh. I've never had to deal with something like this before! Sequence stared at Nogard incredulously. "... My namesake. My... uh... Mother... and Grandmother... and... lots of other people in our family line shared this name. For 1,489 years. I myself am..." She spoke slowly, struggling to think up an explanation. "Only about... 30... years old? Yeah. Yeah, 30." Sequence laughed a bit more. "I'm only joking. "Yes, the Thr-" She paused again. "... The... Universe..? I suppose we don't really know. It's been three thousand years since time started to be recorded, I suppose you could say. That doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't anything before. Not that I'd know, though. I'm only 1,489 pages - or, years - old!" She laughed. Sequence leaned back a bit and laughed heartily. "Good! She nodded. "Fair points." "Why, of course! I invited everybody! Theoretically, even the most ancient and powerful evils could attend, though I did attach something of a threat to my invitations. If you didn't notice it, it's likely because your thoughts are pure. But, for those with thoughts of war and destruction, they'll notice an extra clause. 'When I say this is a peaceful event, I mean it. Those who break the peace will be dispatched swiftly'." Sequence looked rather proud of herself. "Spooky, right? I also gave it a little bit of that d̸̨̠̼̾̂a̴̙̭̽̾ṟ̶̢̓k̵̪͆n̵̩͙͙̂ẽ̸̢̳̙̔s̶̩͊͊s̸͖̫̓̊͜ I have with on occasion."- 111800 replies

Sequence nodded. "Time is certainly quite odd. I like to avoid the fogginess and confusion that comes with it by sleeping through periods of relative absence to the rest of the thread." Sequence laughed and put a hand to her chest. "I do believe I have that part under control for the moment, but if I need your assistance," She leaned in closer. "Or if I see any pineapples," She said softly with a smile. "I'll be sure to seek you out!" "The 3,000th-" Sequence paused as she recalled a warning Subversion had given her a while ago. "... It's just how we measure time. It's synonymous to a year, you know? 3,000th page, year 3,000, whatever you want to call it." Sequence understood, and the invitation morphed into a bag of tealeaves. Sequence's own special blend! A small label read: "Contains: Fresh air; the fruit of a tree which is a cross between a juniper, a pine, and a large cinnamon stick; and some snow."- 111800 replies

Sequence paused, thinking for a moment. "About me? Well, uh..." She thought for a moment. "I built this planet we stand on, for one. I believe I am the oldest Narrator still alive and on the Thread. Whether that makes me wise or not, I can't be sure." She laughed a bit. "I'm... peaceful, I hope. That's partially the reason for this occasion." She gestured to the people all around at the party. "Some of the people I have invited are at odds, currently. I invited them all here for an occasion of peace." Sequence smiled. "Thank you. So, what've you been up to lately? Can I interest you in some tea?" She offered a cup to the Bookwyrm. It smelled of pine and juniper. The party has begun! Invitations with magical stamps allowing teleportation to Sequence's World have appeared near everybody on the thread, and a large amount of people are there now. Elsewhere on the thread, invitations appeared to the General, the Brave Adventurer, the Great Wizard, Onyx, and the Dreamsmith, to name a few. @NameIess @xinoehp512 Sequence frowned. "... I see. Well, you are free to leave anytime you wish by tearing up your invitation, but I highly recommend you stay, at least for a bit! I'd love to learn more about you, and we can all celebrate our Thread's 3,000th page together." "Welcome!" Sequence said warmly, offering her hand in greeting. "So glad you could attend! Who might you be?" "Nice to meet you, Shoe. Lovely name, might I add." She smiled warmly. "Tell me a bit about yourself! Your adventures, your feats! ... Your name is awfully familiar as well. I don't think I've met you though." She looked thoughtful for a moment.- 111800 replies

Sequence handed her a paper bag filled with tealeaves, which had a label on the front. It simply read, "The Tea." Closer to the bottom, in smaller text, "Contains: Fresh air; the fruit of a tree that's the mix of a pine tree, a juniper tree, and a massive stick of cinnamon; and some snow." "Lovely to meet you, Selppaenip! You would be correct, I am indeed the Narrator Sequence." She took a small bow. "Glad to hear it!" She said to Nogard happily. "It is indeed a party. Did you read the invitation? We're celebrating the 3,000th page of The Thread!" Sequence beamed and waved to Subversion. "Why, Subversion! Lovely to see you!" A tray of glasses appeared before her. There were four, lined up. "Take your pick! This one was constructed from raw hydrogen and oxygen in its purest form. This one is from a spring in the mountains. And this one is from the lake you see here! Filtered of course. And then this one is the same thing, but not filtered. The lake is clean, but it's still a lake, so beware." Sequence eyes Subversion closely. "So, how've you been? It's been a long time. I believe the last time... and quite possibly only time we interacted was when you killed that one fellow. I can't recall his name... Everybody was quite upset." She nodded understandingly. "I get that." She smiled and looked around as well. "Thank you! I built the cabin by hand, with some help. The rest of the planet is also my creation. Through Narration, but still." Just so you know, there's no standard for post quality here! You can be as vague or detailed as you like! The ChatGPT thing seems like a good starting point honestly, as it seems it's come up with a few details and personality, but I wouldn't recommend relying entirely upon it for this. Up to you though! Sequence smiled at the fairy's enthusiasm. "Why, isn't that lovely? Stories about me, you ask? Well, hmm... I suppose... There's that one time I helped Ookla the Unintelligible with his quest, that other time when I-" She froze, recalling the Witherlord. She visibly shuddered. "... There's the time when I went on a quest to earn the Plotblade Conflict, uhhh... Some others I'm forgetting I'm sure." "Lovely to meet you, Quagmire! Enuller, hm? "Welcome welcome!" Sequence said warmly, extending her hand to Selppaenip as they appeared on the deck. "Welcome to Sequence's World! Who might you be, newcomer?" Sequence laughed. "Welcome to Sequence's World! I am Sequence, and it's lovely to meet you!" She held up a tray with a large smoked ham on it. "Hungry? No need to hunt here, it's my job as the host to take care of my guests!" Sequence nodded along as Natsu spoke. "Natsu the crazy fox, Quagmire the elven Enuller, and Dewdrop the fairy. Got it! Lovely to meet you all! Why don't you tell me a bit about yourselves?" He found himself on the wooden patio of a large, open cabin. It was situated on a boardwalk, which jutted out onto a crystal blue lake in the waning light of the setting sun. The cabin itself was lit by warm candles and lanterns, and the cabin bustled slightly with the activity of everybody who had arrived already. Sequence smiled and hurried over as she spotted him. "My old friend, the one and only Bookwyrm! Thank you for coming! How have you been?" Sequence smiled knowingly. "Would you like some for the road? I have more than enough." Sequence also wondered! Everybody found invitations floating to the ground at their feet, including (but not limited to) Subversion, Nogard, Bacon the Bard, Moniker, Ookla the Unintelligible (if he was still around), and truly just... Everybody accessible on the thread. Including the destroyer, whomever they may be. To those with dark thoughts, the invitation was equally welcoming. Yet, it gave something of an impression. A mental message, maybe. It warned that breaking the peace of this occasion would be met with... A̷̼̫̍ ̷̯͉̀̓̕ͅŝ̵̼͍͝w̸̩̰̓͂̚͜ḭ̵̤͔̃͐̑f̴̩͆̀̊͜t̵͓͐͋̄ ̵̳͎̥͝͝ë̸̻́͊n̷͕̂̒d̷̢̬̞́̚͠.̷͍̫͊͐̂ Sequence gasped and hurried over to Nogard. "Hello, my friend! Welcome! So glad you could make it! Sequence nodded understandingly. "I quite like Nogard. Hopefully he shows up today as well! What do you think of the tea?" It tasted similar to how it smelled, but with a very slight sweetness to it. The flavor was strong without being overpowering, and also had a similar calm soothe that chamomile tea had. Sequence tilted her head a bit at the light, but smiled and nodded. "Sounds good. Lovely to meet you, Asher!" Sequence smiled, and a foamy mug appeared on a coffee table close beside Perseus. "Anything you could possibly wish for! This is an occasion to be enjoyed."- 111800 replies

Sequence nodded. "This cabin, anyway. The world and most of the other things in it I did Narrate." Sequence offered Gail a cup of tea. It smelled of pine and juniper. "So, what's been going on lately? I feel like I haven't seen you in pages!" Food was plentiful, as trays of brownies, muffins, cookies, and various other baked goods were laid out on counters and tables throughout the open space of the building. The anger in Sequence's eyes quickly vanished, and was replaced by a warm smile. "Certainly! Any special requests? Also a recommendation, I've been growing my own tea recently and I think it's quite splendid." An invitation floated down at his feet. On the back of the envelope was a magical stamp, which, when pressed, would transport you to Sequence's World. Sequence nodded. "I'm sure. You must be good at what you do though, as you're here now!" She smiled. "Greetings! Welcome to-" Sequence paused as she looked up at the hulking beast. "... Goodness me. And, who might you be, new friend?" "Welcome, my friends!" Sequence exclaimed warmly, holding out a tray that contained glasses of something pink and small mugs of tea and hot chocolate. "Thank you so much for attending! Who might all of you be?" Sequence noticed him not drinking the tea, and offered to take it from him. She chuckled a bit. "You see, that's why I could see myself being a mercenary. Meeting all these new clients and doing all these odd tasks." "Thank you." Sequence looked around at the cabin proudly. "I built it myself! Without Narrating it's existence, mind you. I had a little help, but we built it mostly by hand. To make it feel a little extra special, you know?" Sequence's frown returned, and a slight flicker of anger appeared in her eyes. "You will not fight on my world, Platypus. If Moni does arrive, Perseus will respect my rules and leave her be until they depart, right?" Sequence looked at Perseus, her tone and gaze rather menacing. Certainly much more menacing than one would think of Sequence's warm demeanor.- 111800 replies
