Guys-
A friend of mine at Seminary showed me a picture of a sword he got for 30 bucks. I found it on amazon and asked my parents if I could get it- Unfortunately, no, but I will be getting like ten swords when I move out of the house.
Instead, I'm getting this big ol plastic Boshin Grosse Messer sword from Honshu.
When I have my own house, I'm going to have a room explicitly dedicated to my sword collect. While other people collect cards, I'll collect swords. If a burglar comes, I'll be ready... heheheheh.

"My name," Johnny Deep said, swaggering forward with a blade in one hand, a goblet in the other, "Is... hurm... what is it? Ahh, that's it. You will remember this as the day, or rather, not remember it, that you were killed by Captian Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to give me all the rum you own."
Sorry, just watched Princess Bride for the billionth time and had Jack Sparrow in my mind, as usual. -
There's something about writing something down on a page, either with a keyboard or a pen, that brings magic.
It has been said that the pen is mightier than the sword.
I agree.
Words shape reality.
People are inspired by what they read, for good or for worse. These books which we love are what shape nations, these books are what influence people into choosing good or bad. Books give positive role models, books give the view of someone overcoming enormous challenges, books show what a lot of us oft need in this life.
Hope.
Books, writing, gives us hope. Because, if that person, if that character can overcome that challenge, than scud well we can too. That's why the relatable character is so, so, so, so popular. If Kaladin can learn to live with his depression and many issues, then we can too. If Raoden can keep going with hope in a distinctly hopeless situation, we can too. If Edmond Dantes can find his place in the world after dealing with people hurting him, then we can too. If Horace can defeat his bullies, we can too. If Dalinar can reconcile his past wrongs with who he is now, then we storming well can too.
All I'm saying is that we need to remember, sometimes, that the point of these glorious books we hold, these glorious books we adore, isn't to have an awesome plot, not always. It isn't always about dragons and magic and over coming odds. They're about hope. They're about overcoming obstacles. They're about showing us that if this relatable person can accomplish an amazing feat, then we can too.
Words are powerful. Yet, hope is more powerful. So, as we read these books we adore, remember that they're there to remind us that there is such a thing as hope.
"There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstances of your life can change."
"No accomplishment has substance nearly as great as the road used to achieve it. We are not creatures of destinations. It is the journey that shapes us. Our callused feet, our backs strong from carrying the weight of our travels, our eyes open with the fresh delight of experiences lived."
"Belief isn't simply a thing for fair times and bright days...What is belief - what is faith - if you don't continue in it after failure?...Anyone can believe in someone, or something that always succeeds...But failure...ah, now, that is hard to believe in, certainly and truly. Difficult enough to have value. Sometimes we just have to wait long enough...then we find out why exactly it was that we kept believing."
And...
"Somehow, we'll find it. The balance between whom we wish to be and whom we need to be. But for now, we simply have to be satisfied with who we are."
I hope y'all have an amazing day,

Piraites of the Caribbean: At world's end.
It's an interesting movie... It's definitely the worst of the original trilogy directed by Gore Verbinski, but it's still fun, if a bit lackluster at parts.
Now... what if we could change that?
What if there were a change we could make that could make it a better film?
What if it made Davy Jones the main villain of this third movie instead of Cutler Becket, yet with Becket still being a major threat?
What if Davy Jones and Calypso had a son and that son was Cutler Becket and, to find Jones, Jack had found Becket and asked him where Jones was. It would've been a flashback sequence sometime during the movie, probably a prologue. Jack and Becket would've had a fight, Jack winning and almost killing Becket before Becket tells him where his father would be, most likely. Jack disappears, leaving Becket screaming Jack's name, "I'll find you one day! One day I'll kill you and you'll regret the night you attacked Cutler Becket!" Something like that, anyways...
Just imagine all the tension in the scenes where Jones and Becket are in the same room... just think about how much better Davy Jones's role would've been in the film, rather than being a flustered bad guy outmatched by the east india company, he would be a villain attempting to fight his own son, though failing because of his love for Becket's mother, Calypso.
Ahhhhhhh... so many things could've happened...
