  1. Will Kaladin achieve escape velocity solely through usage of his own powers, or receive outside help?
  2. Yeah I know that much. That is waaaay different than saying that Roshar and Scadrial are artificial planets.
  3. Seconding this. The free program Calibre is wonderful for converting file formats. It is what I use for ebooks before throwing them on my Kindle.
  4. There's a WoB somewhere that states Sazed can worldhop if he wanted to but there would be ramifications for doing so.
  5. This may be the most speculator-y correct answer due to "they have shown up in many previous Sanderson novels". But besides Hoid, how many other worldhoppers have shown up in several different novels? Not many, if any, other than Hoid and Nazh.
  6. What. Is this some new revelation within the past month or so that I've missed out on?
  7. I believe there was a WoB somewhere that implied that we would see Kelsier again at some point.
  8. Don't worry about it. Plain is good and plain can be good. Too much information can overclutter and ruin an efficient and clean image/chart/anything else.
  9. That would be cool. I admittedly know nothing about SWAT teams other than the 'traditional' media portrayal so ignore my ignorant self over here.
  10. Wasn't there a WoB that stated he descended from Goradel, the skaa from the first Mistborn trilogy? I can't find it because theoryland searching doesn't work for me, for whatever reason.
  11. Technically true but--at least to me--a programmer, or job related to programming, sounds a bit off being on a SWAT team. Maybe I'm thinking strictly of the physical aspects of SWATing but we'll see. I was real fond of the "chase down a Mistborn sociopath" plot.
  12. Oh, no no no. I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't pretty. It's very simple and organized. My only passing comment was meant about updating or adding in the couple of one-off standalones that we know the (working) names of but it's likely best to leave it as it is. It's fine. Good graph, man.
  13. Huh, I actually thought of the Pendragon series when I read 'Travelers' and then clicked the thread. Good series. Can definitely see some possible similarities but obviously Cosmere has a far-more fleshed out magic system. Flumes could be like traveling through pre-made roadways in Shadesmar, then maybe something like whatever wacky stuff involving Shadesmar and Sel could resemble the walls breaking down towards the end of the series during the Convergence.
  14. Aw, I'm kind of bummed that we don't get the Allomancer SWAT team plot now. Ah well. I wonder if Era 3 and 4 will still be trilogies, or "I was bored and accidentally wrote X more amount of books" like Era 2 turned into.
  15. This is really handy and it's cool that you made this--if it's not a repost. I think you can add The Silence Divine and Dark One(?) as standalone future novels that actually have working titles but then again, it might create clutter and ruin the order in the image. Again, really awesome graph!
  16. RAFO bait but is Scadrial the most important current Shardworld? I'm sure that Yolen is /the/ most important Shardworld, obviously, but is it relevant in our 'current' timeline?
  17. Speaking of Hemalurgy, with its ability to steal other powers, I feel like it's being set up to be incredibly significant to the overall Cosmere as a whole and will only become more and more prominent as we snail our way through the chronology.
  18. I'm not entirely sure this is directly on-topic but I don't want to make a thread just for this one question or know of a better place to ask but would anyone by chance know when new book release artwork is uploaded on Brandon's site? I like to save the images because I enjoy the art (and the Cosmere-relation helps too--pictures of symbols and such are interesting). I've just no idea when they are typically updated, if it follows a consistent schedule at all.
  19. Maybe Adonalsium was Shattered because it was too powerful? I forget if we know if Adonalsium is natural or man-made.
  20. Did Hoid help to construct the weapon to oppose Adonalsium? Are the symbols used for certain magic systems (ex: Metallic Arts, Surgebindings) the "official" Cosmere symbols for each or merely the "official" symbols used for them on their specific planet? (I know that slight changes such as symbols deviating a bit from Era 1 to Era 2 are to show that times are a changing so I'm leaning towards it probably being the second option.) Do Shards have any official symbols? Does Adonalsium have a symbol? Is there an undisclosed Fourth Realm beyond the three noted realms that the God Beyond resides at/in?
  21. Very likely old outdated information then. My fault there.
  22. Here it is: http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=689#5 My fault. I remembered it as "main" for some reason. I'd search around to see if any other instances came up involving that context but searching appears to be currently defunct on theoryland (only found this WoB from a link on Hoid's coppermind page.)
  23. Actually a little over 300 years, unless something has changed within the last half a year or so. It goes along the lines of: >Elantris/Warbreaker/original Mistborn trilogy occurring around the same rough timeframe Then the 3xx year gap >Stormlight/Alloy books As far as major novels go so far.
