  1. Oh yes, it would be very difficult, as most Kandra have mentioned that getting hair right requires time and precision. Even TenSoon can't get it perfect on the fly. But it should certainly be possible.
  2. I wonder if the reason Radiants don't experience agelessness despite their Invested nature is because they are close to the power on a spiritual level, but not a physical one- their Spren's Nahel Bond means that the Radiant is in close proximity a large mass of Investiture (similar to metal being inside a person's body puts it in close proximity to their Spiritweb and makes it more difficult to affect with Investiture), but without it being in the physical Realm it may simply not provide that kind of benefit.
  3. I'm not sure I understand the question. Could you please elaborate?
  4. Yes, and Scadriens vary in Investiture as well; the stronger the Allomantic potential, the more Invested they are. I imagine that most actual Allomancers are more Invested than Nalthians with their single Breath, though non-Allomancers (and Feruchemists) would be less Invested.
  5. True, but you might be able to divide the pieces multiple times and get a smaller Spren fragments, or in this case Spiritweb fragments, then use Raysium to recombine all but the one fragment you want to spike yourself with. Or, maybe just don't recombine the smaller ones and hide them away to keep them (and their power) safe, kind of like Voldemort's horcruxes. . . Only, not evil, right?
  6. Yeah, or if Feruchemy via Harmonium doesn't work on sapient beings that way you could still modify a Harmonium device to use Allomantic chromium to Leech their powers anytime they tried to use them.
  7. Looks just like I imagined him!
  8. Love the mixing of colors! I also really like your backgrounds too; I have difficulty making those when I draw.
  9. Interesting. That might work. It makes me wonder if you could create special handcuffs that used that mechanic to force a prisoner to store strengh, speed, or some other attribute to make them easy to overcome and/or transport.
  10. In the SA, it is possible to split a Spren caught inside a Gemstone and have them continue to act as if they were one entity. Additionally, in RoW Navani potentially found a way to distribute the Spren in a less even way using Raysium. I wonder if the same could be done with Hemalurgy. One of the system's natural limitations is the size of the spike you can physically embed in the body of the spike bearer, limiting its capacity to an extent. However, if you could get a really large chunk of metal and fill it to the brim with Hemalurgic Investiture, then find way to split off a small section to act as a spike to implant into someone. If they were sufficiently Connected, you maybe could find a workaround to the size limitation of your spikes by being able to draw from the larger section's power whilst only needing to have the smaller spike embedded in your body. There could be some interesting complications as well. Since Spanreeds lose some effectiveness the farther they are from each other (it takes more force to move them), could the Hemalurgist's powers get weaker (less efficient, at least) the farther they get from the large piece? Could be an Elantris-style weakness. Additionally, if the Connection is strong enough, they might not be able to physically leave too far from the larger chunk and would need it to be carried around for them to travel long distances, similar to how Radiants cannot leave Roshar due to Connection. The big spike could also be somewhat vulnerable, as it is not being carried around in the Hemalurgist's body and therefore could be attacked/destroyed whilst the Hemalurgist is away. Honestly, could be really cool. Not entirely sure how it would be accomplished yet, but the in-world mechanics point towards its possibility.
  11. I found this quote last night and it changed the way I look at Allomantic pewter; (I removed the mild Warbreaker and SA spoilers inside) So, this means that a Pewterarm can control more about what their Allomancy does? I always thought of A-pewter being a more passive metal, where you could train to use the effects, but you couldn't control it as you do steel and iron. This also would explain some of the fundamental differences between the Blessing of Potency and Allomantic pewter; Potency really is just a static boost to your Spiritual Aspect's natural physical abilities, but because of that it's narrower in its scope. Allomantic pewter has more potential, including some sort of mind-over-matter. What else do you think A-pewter could be used for?
  12. I may be a demonic entity from your religion, but join anyway Collet as many Odiv's as you can from Sel; we could use the manpower. EDIT: Well, I'm an originator now. . . guess this meme doesn't quite work as spectacularly as before.
  13. Interesting. So by taking a Set style spike filled with a lot of unprogrammed Investiture you still think that there could be an increase in learning? That fits pretty well. I bet that it would also make you somewhat healthier (though admittedly not much, as 30 Scadriens of Investiture doesn't even equal 30 Nathian Breaths), since the extra Investiture would act a bit like having some of the Heightenings.
  14. Modified Anit-Radiant rounds certainly would help balance the scales. I agree. I think that as technology advances throughout the Cosmere Invested individuals will stop possessing the same level of power as they once did, at least compared to all other people. For example, if someone like Rashek came into existence in Scadrial's next one to two-hundred years and tried to take things over, they'd be killed or have their powers stripped from them via Hemalurgy after being caught and imprisoned- Harmonium grenades could sap their Investiture stores and a special team of Invested individuals would wear them down (in fact, I beleive that era 3 will be delving into such a team as the main cast of characters). Other weapons and tools could also come into existence to further even the field. It's no wonder Rashek wanted to keep society from advancing technologically; they'd have found ways to overthrow him. I think it depends; do the Ghostbloods want to give all of Scadrial their scientific knowledge, or do they want to collect it for themselves? If they want to hoard it, that could lead to further complications if their group ever becomes compromised or corrupted. But, seeing Kel's desires in TLM, it's very likely that the GB will end up helping Scadrial's advance along, though they'd likely do it from the shadows.
  15. That certainly would be cool. Especially considering the fact that both Hemalurgy and Awakening have quite a few similarities.
  16. Okay, sounds. . . morally gray (at best), but could potentially be enlightening. More practice with the spikes could lead to new innovations, after all. . . You know, I find it amusing that the Svrakiss is the one pointing out that this operation could be immoral But in other words, sure, I'll join. Though, I don't know how consistent I'll be able to pitch in due to my scheduel.
  17. What would in entail? (I'm also a Hemalurgic enthusiast, so any and all spiking operations would be best sent to me.)
  18. Yup. I guess I was thinking of the goblin sappers from Warcraft 3, actually- only skeletons. I see we've found the morally bankrupt party member. . . Could grab some Bavadinium whilst we're at it. Could potentially allow for more Hemalurgic spikes in agents without Shardic intervention.
  19. That's what the Big Gun is for, friend
  20. That, good sir, would be terrifying; at the very least, you'd tear their Spiritweb to shreds by piercing them with too many spikes. So, maybe that would be a good counter to highly Invested opponents? Birdshot should also do the trick. In my opinion, Kelsier is one of the most dangerous and potentially most influential individuals in the Cosmere currently. I'm quite interested in seeing what he ends up doing with that influence. It's certainly possible, though I don't know if they'd want him to "slow down". They'd probably just want him to use what he has in a better way. Though, Sazed (or Discord) may be for taking him out due to their. . . dissagreements.
