Yeah. He just uses connection. He would probably need something to connect it to though, like traveling to Sel or the weird Ire tube thing. Or maybe a Seon

Shardcast: Fabrials and RoW Part One Epigraphs
basement_boi commented on Chaos's article in Shardcast
What you said about heat fabrials: Brandon had said that matter, energy, and Investiture are all the same just in different states, like with real physics. The heat fabrials take Investiture (Stormlight) and convert it into heat energy. -

You guys keep saying they used the painrial on Renarin. They used it on Adolin. -
She’s just talking about how Marsh literally removed what was chaining her from the power of Preservation.

Can someone's Spark of Life be corrupted?
basement_boi replied to Fantasiuss's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hemalurgic creations, like chimeras. Also Fused entering singers’ bodies. -
I think it’s that she is giving Tumi a new perspective on everything. The way he says it is weird because of his language trends, like how the inkspren talk.

Would a Mistborn draw mistspren on Roshar?
basement_boi replied to i’m in the details's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The mists are repelled by Hemalurgy because the 2 Shards are in conflict. There are some holes in this, with Warlight and stuff, but I think it’s pretty solid. As far as mistspren, I think not, just because you don’t really draw mistspren, because they’re sentient. They are attracted to certain qualities, not mist. -
As far as the Sibling is concerned, it is about how there was somebody they already idealized bonding: Rlain.

Organizing the Shards with the Metallic Arts
basement_boi replied to perfectlybalanced's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Ambition is not necessarily taking things, it is about self growth, doing anything to improve. Devotion is not holding on to the past, it is being willing to keep a relationship, to the point where you enjoy these relationships. As far as attaching Intents to metals in the metallic arts. I think the God Metals will have more of an effect on what the metals do in Allomancy. -
Dalinar is doing something crazy on accident
basement_boi replied to Neroz's topic in Cosmere Discussion
You’re right, he didn’t do it to prevent simple crimes, he “foresaw” the future and decides that the best way to alter it was through the bloodiest oath with the highest chance of success. Edit: I meant path when I said oath. Stupid iPhone autocorrect. -
We know Honor had restrictions on the Surges that are going away. I had an idea on what a Windrunner’s enhanced surge could be: we know Windrunners can do Half-Lashings upward to make objects weightless. Could they do that to like, huge boulders, or trains (if they were somewhere where trains existed)? Could they throw them?

Avatar could mean in the classical sense, meaning a representation of something.

Could voidbinding be what the Regals do? And when they say they haven’t explored it much that mean they haven’t figured out everything it can do yet?
-
Yeah, I was joking.

Some people have been asking why Hoid didn’t bond a Radiant spren when he was around before the Recreance. I think the answer is obvious. He was still trying to figure out how to get off world. He needed some kind of power he didn’t previously have. We see him in Mistborn era 2, which is after SA era 1. He had figured it out by the time he bonded Design, that’s why he finally decided to bond a spren.

world hopping bonded to a deadeye possible?
basement_boi replied to LadyAstronaut's topic in Cosmere Discussion
The bond would prevent it the same way a Radiant bond would. It’s essentially the same bond, but messed up due to Mishram’s binding. It’s still an Invested bond, and while it will have some differences from a Radiant bond, it should still keep you on Roshar. -
I think I misinterpreted @Bzhydack’s statement. I was thinking that since all matter is made of Investiture from Adonalsium, and therefore all shards, matter would not react to anti-investiture. I interpreted his statement as saying that matter and investiture are not interchangeable. Sorry about that. I agree with all of you.
-
Brandon has described matter, energy, and investiture as being different forms of the same thing. I think that saying it’s no longer investiture is just plain wrong.
-
I agree. I think the spren needs sapience. Cusicesh doesn’t show any signs of intelligence superior to other spren, he just does the same thing every day, at the same time, in the same place.

Vin learned what Rashek did with the Well’s power when she entered it. She didn’t learn what Rashek was thinking, but she did learn how he moved the planet and created the ash-eating microbes.

I’m pretty sure that to become a Cognitive Shadow you need to be affected by Investiture. If you watch Shardcast’s Ba-Ado-Mishram episode, I agree with Argent’s theory on the voices.
