    They talk about Lirin using a scalpel or having to actually perform surgery. In real life, if he was an Edgedancer, he could just use Stormlight to heal them. Also, I got a Windrunner.

    The straw man would probably resist the Shardblade similar to how aluminum would. It will block the cutting that results from the fact that the blade is invested. The blade itself would cut like a normal sword.

    So, Brandon actually confirmed that the Shardblade protectors are not aluminum.
