  1. I am now a waffle cook. Fitting, considering I normally have waffles for breakfast.

  2. *facepalm* Okay, word of advice, go to the coppermind for answers before trying here, because, and I don't mean to be offensive, but half of these questions are dumb, and you'll see why I say that. 1) Yes 2) No, Nathlins are born with Breaths, not everyone in the Cosmere. 3) Yes, not sure about whether the person they give it to can use it, however. 4) Number two answers this. 5) Yes. To learn more about Breaths, go here. https://coppermind.net/wiki/BioChromatic_Breath
  3. ... Rashek did sort of kinda do a lot, with the storage caverns and trying to save humanity and ruin driving him insane as he hid the atium.
  4. Because I want to horrify you all.

  5. First, could you kindly put the b in being in the title please, it's bothering me Secondly, Jasnah is trying to take advantage of the fact everyone, lower and higher classes, are going to be open to change due to all the major events, so she may be aware of the possible resistance which is why she is doing it now rather than later, especially with something like slaves, which the removal of will affect both classes in negative ways. So she may be able to succeed, however, it wouldn't be too surprising to see her getting some backlash. She is Jasnah, after all, a human personification of a lightning rod of hate by possibly a quarter of the population of Roshar. They will make reasons to be pissed.
  6. I am a simp for the Lord Ruler, but I am well aware of how easily his inquisitors would kill me. Wouldn't mind joining their ranks, tho.
  7. The vessel's interpretation of a Shard can affect it, but that doesn't mean it will be affected. Also, let me have fun and correct you.
  8. Ok, my friend and I decided to goof around with this A.I. that takes what you type and tries to continue it, and it was legit funny what it gave us, but at the same time impressive. I tried seeing of it could do dialogue and it was able to make an actually acceptable scene with one of my prompts, it was great. Here's the link, have fun trying it out (Warning, there's a weekly limit if you don't use a VPN).

Heh, more people discovered ttt. May you one day learn the ancient lore of the Solar Power, pools of blood, and cauliflower. Also what is under my bed.

  9. Well... there isn't anything really 'to be said' about it, it's been confirmed the Shard is harmony, though it could turn into discord. Survival is another shard entirely (We have been told there is one Shard that is hiding and just wants to survive, so the Shardbase as deemed it the survival shard.)

    Yay, more Siri!
  11. So, this is an altered person with the intent of being immune to headshots. All they need to do is make their skulls really thick.
  12. They say that is more than a simple fight to the death in a metaphorical sense. For all intents and purposes, it is a duel between two warriors to the death.
  13. Hmm, it appears that somehow went past my 2000th post without realizing it. That's probably fitting.

I keep close track of mine. I’ve been awaiting my 1000 for several months, but I started posting very infrequently. Congrats on 2000!

  14. Ah, thanks. Didn't remember that.
  15. Tips on beating the stupid Z muscle guy? The version in the godhome?

  17. Did he think that? Where does it say he thought the power would leave him?
  18. Shardic future sight has been shown to have limits and is not deterministic. Sazed would have seen a future where they had become far more advanced in the time they have been given, a possibility, a possibly very likely possibility, but in trying to make life better for them at the catacendere, which he might have done without looking to the future, he made life too easy and they ended up not advancing very quickly compared to another society who had been struggling. He is very aware of the cause, that his actions have resulted in this apathy to technological development. He can be surprised because he hadn't expected this to happen, as he sees possibilities, and this could have been an unlikely possibility. Same reason Odium could be surprised by Dalinar not turning to his side, there are holes in their future sight. I just find it unlikely that Trell would have taken action that early. As far as the rest of the cosmere was concerned, Scadrial was doomed. They expected Ruin to destroy Scadrial and move on. I can believe Trell had quickly been put into action after the catacendre, when it was clear Scadrial would survive and start becoming the most advanced planet in the cosmere, something Khriss had been able to foresee.
  19. I will say that Lin Davar is sympathetic for the fact we know the decision that started a downward spiral for him and everyone around him. His actions taken after, the abuse of servants and his children, the cruelty he had displayed, is not justified, but is understandable, as in we understand what made him become like this and feel pity, that in trying to defend his daughter, taking the blame for the murder of his wife, a very noble act, ended up turning him into a monster. He as a person is sympathetic, in a pitiful way. His actions aren't.
  20. From what I understand, there is normally at least one bondsmith active, the one bonded to the sibling, and they would lead in the absence of others. Oaths for the radiants are more important than bloodline, and for good reason.
  21. The definition you are using for god is not what everyone uses for god. Being unknowable isn't really a universal requirement for godhood. I will say that things that were considered unknowable have been associated with gods and worship like the sun is commonly seen as a god in many religions, so the two aren't exactly unconnected. The shards can definitely fit a definition of god, (a superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity.), and I believe Adonaslium would by extension fit that definition. You also are making the assumption that Adonslium can't be god if there is a god in the Beyond. Admittedly, this does mean he can't be God, singular, but there can be multiple gods, Adonslium being a god of the Physical, Cognitive, and Spiritual realms, whatever in the Beyond being the god of the beyond. Even some Monotehstic religions have multiple gods, but only one god of worship, the other god often being evil incarnate. Notes, the sun is not absolutely powerful. You could say it is the most powerful thing in our star system, but the sun has limits, and a lifespan. It will eventually die. So, by definition, not absolutely powerful. I am not sure if the same would apply to shards, who are said to have virtually infinite investiture, which BS can say with a hand wave. The way they act, however, does not make me believe they would fit that definition, either. And the definition of a God being an absolutely powerful being is a common one.
  22. There is a WoB saying that Hoid would've liked the Shard Endowment or would've received the shard Endowment, I don't know which. EDIT: Found the WOB. ParadoxicalZen There's a WoB on Theoryland that if Hoid was tempted by a Shard it'd be Endowment. Why is that? Brandon Sanderson There's a word on Theoryland that if he was tempted by a shard it'd be Endowment? Things in his past, that make sense. Will make sense once you know him more. Shadows of Self London UK signing (Oct. 19, 2015) So, it's a theory that Endowmnet was one he liked, something BS understood and somewhat agreed with. However, this is not the shard offered to him as there are several references to that shard not having been revealed at the year 2018. Whether it was revealed in the letters in RoW is another story. Also, this theory doesn't take a lot of things into account. It might not be wrong, and Hoid could be doing this, but there are other elements Hoid is doing which aren't answered by this, like his constant collecting of investiture from different shards. There is more to this than Odium, even if his attention is more focused there now due to the current desolation.
  23. Where did this quote come from? Also, Shad has gotten insane with his new minions. It's crazy. Also... don't read Shad's book. It's... not great. I say this very reluctantly.
  24. I think you're correlating similar symptoms as having similar reasons, BS probably just tried to have coma-like symptoms for the knocked-out radiants as that's something realistic to base it off of.
  25. Watch for when he does live signings, you can comment on stream chat on youtube and have someone ask your question to him, I got one of my questions asked in either the first or second stream I joined off his. Really not that hard.
