  1. But ruin didn’t make them odium also has acess to two more shards he could probably create puppet shards out of honor and cultivation in this worst timeline. Even if ruins intent would give him an edge odium is far more skilled and experienced seemingly in the shattering of shards. Plus if we are comparing the secondary forces at their disposal then neither ruin nor any shard except maybe autonomy holds a candle to the military might of roshar.
  2. Even with this he still just destroyed the planet with all of his resources, odium has the best record of splintering shards period ruin maybe theoretically but the only person who seems to have done it is odium which means he likely woudl win the that fight, plus the guy was ruthless it would be odium vs a shard who just destroyed his planet and has no resources odium woudl beline to him bad kill him he would have no way to stop him and on top of this nodboy is gonna help ruin he is ruin.
  3. I think this especially works because for unity you have motivators like odium and devotion and methods/ unity for its own sake ones like honor and dominion The leaving a mark ones all work well the survive ones are good I think valor is a survive shard it’s about dealing with situation where survival is not certain the change ones are good too Also what do we know about dawnshards
  4. Well I think then odium would inevitably win, unless everyone teamed up on him. He has a shard kill list longer then anyone else. He would have the most experienced best trained army in the cosmere led by the best general and one of the top 5 best fighters we have ever seen only people I’d maybe bet on vs the blackthorn are szeth and kaladin, without shards then denth or vin as well, anyone else stands no chance he is a force of nature more then a man. If we put it all out. ruin has- inquisitors thats basically all he got he just destroyed his only planet and splintered preservation odium will go for him immediately and splinter him. Sel- I don’t know enough for this all these places with splinters aren’t gonna be great since they are separated tiny bits of power. Autonomy will lose since without allies they have little hope vs odium but odium- has the most powerful form of magic we have seen. potentially radiants. could potentially put allies as honor and cultivation and have 2 shards at his back then force deals of compliance on them individually. has veteran warriors 7000 years of experience best generals Most experienced and best trained troops we have seen in the cosmere all used to fighting supernatural enemies most of the top fighters in the cosmere live on roshar like let’s say top five no real order (heralds we haven’t seen much but from what we have kaladin, dalinar and szeth probably count as mid to low level heralds the display from ishar isn’t particularly more impressive then anything we have seen kaladin, dalinar or szeth do. Though nale who I think is likely a more martial herald is clearly better then szeth if I had to be i would say it’s probably with heralds for top 10 Vasher, kaladin, szeth, heralds, dalinar 1. Taln- this is non negotiable he is the best fighter in the cosmere by all indications nale a likely above average herald beats one of the best mortal fighters in the cosmere because kaladin, szeth and dalinar are all likely equals in practice and everyone loves vin but her most impressive feats aren’t any better then a well trained dude in shardplate. While those three have feats that are of an entirely different level to those seen else wear in the cosmere. 2-4. The above average heralds id bet in chanarach, jezrian and nale (certainly him)take this spot. 5- kaladin- beats szeth and has more impressive feats not counting nightblood. Kaladin also has 0 question the best combat feats in the cosmere for a mortal hands down though we don’t know for sure about how normal of a mortal he is with his weird side powers he occasionally gets and the son of tan avast thing. 6. szeth- kaladins equal but feats place him a bit lower 7. dalinar- knows he couldn’t beat szeth this is without powers but still 8. good fused and average- bad heralds 9. vin 10. Vasher/denth/arsteel/adolin basivally odium would have the best of the best of the best especially if he made honor a puppet.
  5. Exactly see, kaladin ASKED for a story and hoid was speechless
  6. Each order does something different thing is that we are used to are the very combative orders gravitation is the best combat surge hands down that we have seen, the mobility is insanely good, transportation seems to be the priamryvwillshaper surge like adhesion is primary for windrunners so we may see it’s full potential soon, but some surges rn do seem weaker like windrunner adhesion
  7. Kaladin likes him to roshar seems to be the only place he is forming positive relationships
  8. Yeah if they are pulling this plan off it’s backfiring they are taking the as far as we have seen most experience best troops in the cosmere and given them training to fight not just the supernatural but supernatural beings far more dangerous then anything on Scadrial short of a fullborn. mid humans and singers unit they are basically unstoppable singers are in my opinion on the same level as most koloss in terms of lethality because while they are smaller they are still strong heavily armored which kolosss aren’t and far more disciplined and able to use complex tactics, humans on the other hand have been consistently shown to be highly flexible a great rosharan army coudl be comprised of singer frontline and more flexible human skirmishers. the biggest thing I think is roshar has bondmsitsh which are borderline shard levels of power and also the best fighters we have seen ever on the cosmere the fused have fought for 700 years straight, Sahel has personally trained many of them, kaladin and szeth could probably take a fullborn in the right circumstances. Their roster is just insane.
  9. Exactly and if they just go with the light weaver plan and what can Scadrial do Lightweavers are significantly more versatile kandra, sure they aren’t as good at infiltration but they are way better assassins, can take anyone currently on Scadrial who isn’t kelsier in a 1v1 and do on.
  10. We have seen their ships and they are still very slow and not very maneuverable, they also appear to have a lot of blind spots, a windrunner could likely disable one easily. the ettmetal bombs are likely comparable to what a dustbringer can do based on the implications we have seen like large smoking piles of cremlings and explosions they seem to be the radiant equivalent of heavy artillery and likely could take out the shops easily and equal the power of the bombs quite possibly, they are also much more survivable then the ships in shardplate since they are more mobile and smaller targets:
  11. On the one hand that sounds horrible on the other hand I desperately want this confrontation to happen.
  12. Fair, except I do think windrunners could easily eliminate them The fact that a single kandra could do it suggests to me that a team of Lightweavers quite easily could, I also believe that edgedancer resonance may be language understanding since people can speak with lift and she can speak/ understand Alethi despite having no reason to be able to so just disguise some edgedancers.
  13. But they also don’t have a target with these bombers unless it’s a full scale invasion these flying ships would be useless against a small force alsk those turrets were really bad at hitting planes which are much much larger then people l
  14. Do you know what the casualty rates were on those missions? Really high, it’s less powerful but we don’t know about cost.
  15. I think they must have had more then 200, 400 at l at the there. mavcome guns maybe would work on sky breakers but I think some Large armor shields and lashings could hold the guns off Nalthis doesn’t know how most likely on. A large scale, I doubt Vasher will share that knowledge and only 1 other seemingly know how.
  16. But that’s not all of them there are multiple honorspren cities lasting intergrity is one city and we have no reason to belive th at all of the honorspren were there. airships and bombs gonna lose to windrunners and sky breakers which are way faster and more maneuverable Mathis compared to roshar is suepr weak, the lifeless are nowhere near plentiful enough for them to make a difference. They have thinking ability rosharan will outclass them every battle. in terms of military power natlhis is very very weak especially compared to roshar they have 0 technology advantage, the most powerful nation relays heavily on its lifeless which against rosharan troops don’t have much of an advantage in combat yes on campaign they can March forever but in combat and on campaigns superior generals will win the day especially since radiants and shardbearers will shred lifeless. Plus I doubt lifeless can match Alethi infantry. Dusks planet is dangerous but an invasion would be easy those predators are dangerous to a lone man but against a squad of armed trained soldiers they won’t accomplish much especially if they just start burning their way through the islands add a shardbearer or two and it would be super easy. Now holding that territory super hard but if they just want to rip across the islands taking whatever super easy.
  17. Fair enough though I think it may be possible like we make cast iron and stuff
  18. True but same effect in the end, I do bet they could soulcast a whole gun to aluminum though
  19. Huh I though that was it, I swear I’ve seen that somewhere before.
  20. For now yeah but spren shoudl in theory be able to become like canons and stuff, this seems likely from the way suppressing interacts with radiants, it is also only speculated that they would be able to drain them, both have basis in things we have seen which one will be the case only time will tell. that’s true but they should be able to soulcast everything else and they should be able to soulcast whole guns out of thin air. like you could soulcast the casting and billet then the powder and cap into that and so on.
  21. True, but still, the birds that get shot aren’t at super high altitudes and they can stack lashings a windrunner is basically a Fighter jet with enough light But it’s also possible that Scadrial may not be able to cancel investiture in high ideal radiants and even if they can it may take time during which they will kill you. They aren’t if roshar just grabs some guns before hand which they can easily buy then they have better troops better generals etc they would have every advantage. it seems to me that southern Scadrial has more advanced investiture based tech while north may be more technologically advanced, I’m counting them as separate things like I’d say in terms of investiture and investiture based tech roshar far outclasses northern Scadrial with fabrials southern Scadrial and roshar are about even but roshar may get the edge a bit cause fabriels are very useful.
  22. Assuming dalinar or a bondsmith is involved the perpendicularity should fix that, also people with transportation may also circumvent this. But that is only one city and that’s hundreds of spren at least there are not going to be as many radiants but still a good bit especially since they outclass metalborn. But also 1/4 of allomancers are useless for combat so that’s 37500 useful allomancers, on top of that fact that radiants could be armed with, suppressing Gabriel’s etc, one thing I notice is that in radiants vs metalborn people always assume that the metal born have all these tools like aluminum bullets and stuff but the radiants are going in with just their normal stuff, when that doesn’t make sense, especially when in terms of investiture roshar has very better technology to combat other magic users such as suppressing Gabriel’s, in rythm of war we see what is basically An energy shield, imagine a shardbearer with that and a suppressor woudl be insane especially now that navani understands how these Gabriel’s in the sibling were made. Additionally navani appears to be close to potentially figuring out a. Way to turn investiture into kinetic energy and Vice versa. For a full scale invasion yes but for political destabilization or at the very least just go in rob a gun shop maybe kidnap ranette it’s definitely more of a benefit. Plus if the set is really with odium they are doing a great job.
  23. Every single member of bridge 4 except for 4 of them that’s 30+ people were his squires plus additional trainees. Plus stone wards and Lightweavers seem to both have about 3 squires so why would windrunners whose resonance is specifically more and better squires have the same amount. i think it is far far more likely that simply not all of the windrunners have squires maybe a few have like 10 and a bunch like kal don’t also should be noted kal didn’t get squires til he got his blade so that could be it too. I think it is far more likely to assume some just don’t have squires then assume only kal could have 30+ knights radiants are way way faster and tougher then birds, we also have more advanced ballistic technology. we have seen towns the city had a n entire stadium that was full that’s hundreds right there, hundreds of dead wyes outside the city too. There are Leila thousands of honor spren
  24. No it’s not, where is this a plot line in the book or explicitly stated teft has all of bridge 17 as squires for example which is probably also 30+ people it seems more likely not all of them simply have squires and I am definitely sure this was not a plot line of the book more radiants was not more squires. Generalizations are not hard numbers they killed a stadium bad have multiple cities, there isn’t anyone we know who wa even present then except the stormfather who has been very unreliable. shardplate always cracks before breaking it won’t pierce on the first shot and chances are said person is flying or soemthing making them nighvhon impossible to hit Scadrial has much lower investiture amounts it will take longer to drain a radiant then a metalborn.
  25. It does not say that, even if it does dalinar would be able to provide enough stormlight and since some normal soulcasters can make it’s clearly possible. mistings and ferrings are not common at all it’s been made pretty clear they are very rare. not really the seeker would have 0 clue what they are looking at, 0 clue what to do about it or anything just seeing a weird pulse doesn’t ensure the mission will be compromised. metalborn are stated and clearly are a rare occurrence there are normal jobs for metalborn yes but there are also normal jobs for equally rare professions in real life just because jobs exist doesn’t make them common a soothing or rioting parlor needs like 2-3 people that’s not a lot even if we assume they are 5% of the population a super high ball estimate they are likely sub one percent that’s one million 250,000 of which are functionally useless and a single squire outclasses all of those, ferrings are substantially rarer. And even if they have 750,000 metalborn a squire outclasses any type of metalborn easily and considering there is a whole civilization of honor spren I imagine their numbers are in the 10s of thousands at least meaning we could have with 10000 windrunners 200,000 squires. we have zero indication kaladin is an anomaly in this regard if he can maintain 30-40 squires so should others. In terms of armor shardbearers are basically a tank and scadirans have yet to display any cannon big enough to take one out. A machine gun would not take a out a shardbearer before they took out the machine gun They would likely heal around the billet like shallan did the knife leaching isn’t instant the fact that they are similar to fabriel suppressors which do not work on 4th ideal radiants and work less on windrunners because they have access to a surge close to a specific god. I bet atium would be harder or impossible to drain by leeching.
