  1. I can't believe he's already at 50%.
  2. According to the Coppermind: I guess it depends on what you consider an Alethi tan.
  3. I'd love to do something! I could try to write something, or maybe the Secret Sazed? I've never really done one of those before, so I'd need that explained.
  4. Agh, I had forgotten about this!
  5. That's 11 and some change.
  6. So, @Truthwatcher at the Rim and I were talking today about Rosharan ages, and how those translate to Earth ages, and we did the math. So we agreed that I would post the math in case any of y'all also want to figure out character ages. Using Kaladin in WOK (19) as an example: (10,000 times 19) divided by 8,760 = 190,000 190,000 divided by 8,760 = 21.689 Second Example: Jasnah in WOK (34) (10,000 times 34) divided by 8,760 = 340,000 340,000 divided by 8,760 = 38.812 Please, come add more characters to this if you want!
  7. Welcome to the Shard at last! Do you agree with my suggestion that you wait?
  8. Okay, this is fun. Let's see here... Scadrial: I'm gonna go with Vin, because obviously, and Wax. Taldain: Kenton and Aarik, because I think he's cool. (Aarik can be Hawkeye - no superpowers, very cool.) Sel: Not sure... it's been a while since I read Elantris. Maybe Hrathen. Threnody: Nazh and Silence. Nalthis: Nightblood, obviously, and Vasher, because someone has to keep the sword in check, and Vasher knows how to deal with Nightblood after all this time, I think. Yolen: Hoid. 'nough said. And Roshar: Kaladin and Navani.
  9. I finished Jurassic Park, and am very slowly working my way through the sixth of the Kingdom series by Chuck Black.
  10. I've started Jurassic Park. I know the science stuff probably isn't completely accurate, but by golly, is it fascinating!
  11. I vote Channelknight Fadran.
  12. Could we do a poll for the votes?
  13. Thank you!
  14. Without looking up definitions of either of those because it's late and I'm tired, I think there is a difference between being capricious and being whimsical. Whimsical feels more innocent and magical, while being capricious (to me) suggests the possibility of a hidden motive, and an element of danger.
  15. Voila.  *Gestures at name*

    This feels weird.

I know I'm gonna get used to it, yeah.  It's like a masquerade - you don't know who anyone is, but you know who everyone is.

  16. I nominate @Channelknight Fadran, the current Hegemon of the World!
  17. @Ramona Tehradin, I completely agree, especially about the 'prolonged periods of lingering gloom', I've had those too, and Kaladin was incredibly inspiring when that was happening.
  18. I usually do a quick rundown of the three WOK mains - Kaladin was a soldier, but has become a slave, Shallan is a thief and student to a princess, and Dalinar is a former warlord questioning his society while they question his sanity. They're experiencing events that herald world shaking changes.
  19. I'm kind of expecting him to go crazy. He'll continue to deny his pain, and that he made the choices he did, until it drives him insane. As to what happens after that, I don't know. Maybe he'll go after Kaladin one last time, maybe he'll just leave the area. I could see that happening as an interesting narrative choice for the second arc. Maybe Odium will make him his champion, though that seems unlikely.
  20. Thank you!
