I'm also going to assume that vote manip is not Rioting type because we would have seen a 4th name on Mist. So it's an "add vote" role on Mist. And a Soothe on one of the votes on Kas or a "cannot vote" penalty. I'm going to do the same thing I did in LG67. If there is a Village Protect role, and if you believe I'm village, consider protecting me, because I'm one of the two players to have revealed about my disease. Even if you don't, this will sow doubts and hopefully not get me NKed.

Aanalan, of course, had managed to open the Door and slip out when no one was noticing. They just assumed he was dead, and what with all the people dying, it wasn't much of a stretch to believe that. Where did the Door lead? Roshar? Yolen? Nalthis? Had Aanalan finally managed to leave Sel? Find out in some other game. @Elbereth, this game was fun! And surprisingly very well balanced. Also, the fact that the player count was a multiple of 3, and all the results of the ties just come together perfectly to ensure an interesting finish. Thanks for running it! [Psst, you seem to be missing the Cultist doc. I want to know why I was killed forced to escape through the Door. ] (So, that was already fixed. I probably did not refresh the page, my bad )

So, apparently @The Young Pyromancerhas not seen this and has sent me another PM expecting me to reply, seemingly not knowing that I have a disease. Pyro, I can't reply to you. Please read the above quoted post. I have a disease, which is funny because you seem to have decreased PMing because you think you can get infected by PMing, but you chose one person to PM who is in fact infected xD

He PMed me.

Umm, how does whatever you stated help you not get lynched? There is no reason for a villager to claim anything. This is because if a villager (or anyone) claims that they are village, others have no reason to believe them (other than observing their actions). And a villager has no reason to claim as an elim unless they have a death wish or for some reason, want to mislead the village. Please, can you explain, a bit more clearly, you thought process behind that post? And, I'm really trying to be less aggressive. Watch Dark on Netflix. Watch Dark on Netflix. (Wait, @Kasimir, do you think the content is appropriate for a 14-year old? xD) And for this I change my opinion on you. I'd imagine the elim mindset would be "Wait, will the village be suspicious that there are two people of the same disease, and suspect that both cannot be villagers, and hence deduce that I'm an elim?" It does lead to IKYK scenario, but I'm keeping an open mind and read you as village right now. If this is true, then: I have a feeling that backgrounds will lead to some kind of action in the future. @Kasimir "Man is a strange creature. All his actions are motivated by desire, his character forged by pain. As much as he may try to suppress that pain, to repress the desire, he cannot free himself from the eternal servitude to his feelings. For as long as the storm rages within him, he cannot find peace. Not in life, not in death. And so he will do what he must, day in, day out. The pain is his vessel, desire his compass. It is all that man is capable of.”

Sooo, I just realized that page breaks are a thing on Shard. I've been typing underscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscore... like an idiot till now. Okay, so here's the list of people I trust : Okay time to be serious. Mild elim reads on the following: Illwei - I've already given my reasoning. Pyro - For thinking Research Intern was a role-claim. And asking if there is a village. And for PMing me willing to "trade information". Anyone else? Matrim - For telling me I'm being weird seemingly to appear a village because he finds me weird every time I'm weird. Then not giving satisfactory answer as to why I'm being weird. Basically said I was over-aggressive (to which I had already apologised at the point). Gears: For this piece of information which is obvious to infer and completely unnecessary to state. Does not help the village in any way. Distraction. Wary: Kas - Pulled the same stunt as he did in the QF(i.e. voting on himself). But why repeat it when you have already given your reasoning in the QF and everyone now knows it was a bait? Surely, after telling them it was a bait, you don't expect people to fall for it do you? Behaving like a villager? Village reads on Ashbringer, Straw and Vapor. Others are null. So, in the interest of village to know a little bit more information (and for the players not to assume I'm rudely ignoring your messages), here's a little something about my role. I do have a disease that has a penalty. It has sealed my lips and blocked my ears. I am unable to start a PM or reply to the PMs I have received. It might be related to the history that Straw told, and I do not know if the condition is temporary or permanent. So, @The Young Pyromancer, there. I'm willing to trade the information, just not with you in PMs, but with the rest of the village as well You may send information back in return here in thread or as a PM. @Kasimir, for the same reason, I cannot converse with you like in last game. Sorry The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion. Page break! xD (I'm assuming the canned guy is me? xD) "Hey, listen here pal! The name's Kondrea. Mytow Kondrea. I don't got time for silly squabbles of yours. Either you wrote it down or you didn't. So you guys lost a few samples. Big deal. Research has been going on here since long before your time. There's something a lot larger in play here. Didn't wanna dip my toe in this mess, but guess I hafta now. They took something very valuable to me. Something I was working that would reveal the secrets of the Cataclysm. So if I doubt you, it very well isn't for stealing some samples that are simply being used by your professors to teach you. Ever wonder why you're being paid so less? Yeah."
-
Same. How was it a pointless argument when it could have been used to catch the elims easily, if allowed?
-
How am I being weird? I get the feel that you're trying to project a state of normalcy. Like you know you found me weird in all games you've played as village, and just stating this fact might make you seem village. Continuing the game how? The only way to continue the game is through the lynch.

Lightweaver confirmed Well...yes. But they said revealing the specific wording is not allowed, and I didn't. But yes, I can see why it should be frowned upon. I'll admit I'm in the grey area heading towards darkness. I'll come back. No more mentions of anything pertaining to them name of the village alignment. Umm, that is not quote by me. That's a quote by you. In other words, I'm quoting you not quoting you, but quoting me, whereas you should have been quoting you. Bah, I had promised myself that I'd play this game casually, and I break it the first moment I notice something suspicious. Sorry Illwei, I was aggressive. That has been a flaw of me, and I need to learn how to play Kasually. So... in an attempt to play casually, here's a "road not taken" meme
-
Quoting is the important word. According to that we are not allowed to role-claim, but we do that all the time. Just that we need to do it in our words, not GMs. Okay, sorry for creating any problems In most of the games (in fact all I've played), the known alignments have a specific name given in the sign-ups. This game doesn't. It doesn't contain the name of the village alignment I've been given anywhere in the signups (villagers you can check and confirm with this, should prove that I do know the name). Why would I be even bothered with knowing the name of the village alignment when no one was questioning it in the first place, if I was an elim? I'm not asking you about your role, I'm asking you what the name of the village alignment is (which is moot now). Why wouldn't it be the only wording of it? Why would the GMs send different wordings for the same alignment. It'll only serve to create more confusion. Anyway if you were an villager, you'd know that the name is neither of the two I mentioned (villagers, another point in my favor, you know that it isn't Research Intern or Silverlight Intern). Illwei If you were a villager, I'd assume you would doubt me for giving out 2 names that aren't the actual names of the village, not for whatever reason you gave.
-
I'm not even asking to confirm the role though? Tagging the IM here, @Elbereth. Quoting this for context:
-
Copy-paste-ing is not allowed. You are allowed to claiming anything that happens in any PMs because the others can either believe or not. At least, that was my thoughts on it. Seems like you want to defend Illwei from revealing the exact wording of the village alignment. Bad Pyro.
-
What does your GM PM say about your alignment? Does it say you are a Research Intern or a Silverlight Intern?

Adam threw everyone off because... physical resemblance. But I actually think they did a fantastic job of finding actors who resemble their younger/older self. Especially with young!Hannah, young!Alexander, old!Ulrich, and old!Claudia. Care to ramble about your other favorite shows? Just mention them if you feel the thread will deviate from the topic.

You forgot "really complicated family connections" xD I swear I broke my head in S1 to figure out who is who in different time periods. I had to pause repeatedly so my brain could digest the information to keep the connections solid. How you feel when your friends finally watch Dark, and thank you for annoying them into watching it ^
-
*facepalms* Right, that would be the obvious inference from your question. Don't know why my mind considered it how it did xD Oh, and I hate the comparison to Stranger Things (though I haven't seen it), because whenever I asked someone to watch, they'd go "Ohh, it's like the German version of Stranger Things right?", watch one episode, reaffirm the similarity with Stranger Things and pass over it. Only after I pestered them enough, they'd watch and come back like "Duuuude, this is so much better than Stranger Things!". So the comparison to a much more popular, mainstream show did NOT help Dark's viewership and popularity initially. Dark surged in popularity (like really surged) only after S3 was released, I feel.

*Immediately upvotes* Hmm, how did I find it? I'm always on the hunt for new under-mentioned series that tend to fly under the radar, and try to propagate it to the world . I think I saw a poster with the triquetra with the years 1953, 1986, and 2019, and immediately perked up because I'm a sucker for time-travel stuff. S1 was released in December 2017, I believe, and I think I caught it in Feb 2018. How did you come across it?

@The_God_King and @Elkanah - GMs, you've mentioned Frozen Mint as Frozen Mist, and I'd imagine that would create quite a bit of confusion

Hi, Kynedath! Thanks for the feedback. Done. Moved the Bond Mechanics right after it is mentioned. Most of them will be bonded. Some of them might not be bonded, or bonded to 2 Warders. Changed the faction description to say " you are possibly bonded to another player". Done. I changed Black Ajah to a deeper shade of purple. Well, basically their action fails if their target's partner is dead. But yeah, I worded it weirdly. Changed and moved the sentence under White Ajah. Thanks! Hmm, yes, what you have in mind is fundamentally different, I feel. I already have a game with limited info elim teams (here), so I didn't want to repeat that. And yes, each Ajah with a doc would work very well for a faction game. I'm actually interested to see your version! Games around Aes Sedai would be very interesting.

May I interest you in one? Here's a re-flavored, heavily remodeled re-run of QF22.
-
Right, I'm going to change my vote to Vapor. I was already suspicious of her (see my read post). And no reason was given as to why she was voting on Kas. Just that he's mildly suspicious. I waited to see if someone wants to vote on Matrim, but there's no support there, so I'm going to consolidate the votes a bit.
-
Wait, wait, hold on. So you're saying that you've read me as an elim whenever I'm villager, and you're reading me as Korathi right now, so since you think I'm opposite of what your reads are, I must be non-Korathi. But since that thought concludes with me as non-Korathi in your mind, then I must be opposite of that, a Korathi, right?

*insert Ewan McGregor's 'Visible Confusion' meme here* Well..at least the spec doc will now burst in size. Okayy, thoughts, thoughts, thoughts. I'll say this though. At least for the first cycle, we know for sure that JP weren't targeting other JP because my vote on Lotus came relatively early in the cycle, and stayed fairly late into the cycle. If they wanted to, they could have supported and contributed to lynching Lotus, and voting for someone else in their doc. But this didn't happen. Will they continue this trend into the further cycles now that 2 JPs are dead? Will they grow more desperate to find the Cultists that they are willing to double-kill, or will they be more cautious and continue the trend. Storms if I know. Coming to Sart, it's been established by general consensus that he has been given a Cultist read. But hasn't he been the target of the Jeskeri Inquisition? That the JP went for lynching player about to die anyway over a heavily rumored Cultist makes me believe - either Hael is right, and Sart has convinced everyone in the doc that he is going to act like a Cultist in-thread and be a good loyal JP in the doc; OR Sart is a Korathi, out of the reach of the Jeskeri Inquisition. The former implies he's either a JP acting like a JC in-thread to avoid the public lynch with major backing of other JPs; OR he's a JC having pocketed the entire JP. I'd like more opinion on which do you guys think is the case. I think the reveal of the current cycle's Jeskeri lynch might shed more light into the issue. Reads: Hael - Mild non-JP, especially because his thoughts on Sart last cycle feels natural. Don't agree with Drake that he's fringe-voting. Kas - For someone taking the game casually, you sure seem a lot involved. Don't have a lot because Kas does seem like fringe-voting. But I agree with his reason for his vote on Matrim, and his general suspicion, or at least his reasoning behind them. Leaning non-JP. Devotary - Unsure. Voting late and deciding the lynch rather than going for a tie is NAI for Devotary. But this game is weird, so she could have done to get village cred. @Devotary of Spontaneity, why no vote last cycle? Lord Silber - Similar to LG 67. But I'm not sure why he would employ the same technique when he got suspected for it in the game. Leaning JP. @Lord_Silberfarben, I would like to see a vote from you this cycle. Young Bard - Nothing much to go on. Again, I agree with reasoning on Matrim, because I do feel something off about Matrim this game. But fringe vote and no vote in the first cycle makes me hesitate to give a non-JP read. Null. Matrim - I'm really not sure what it is, but something about you is really ticking me off this game, Mat. From your posts, I do get a non-JP read, buuut I don't know. Something is off, and I really wish I could point it out. I also do not like your reason for voting on Mint, and your hesitancy to vote first this cycle in (what I'm assuming) fear of being followed. @Mist - I'd like to see a vote from you this cycle, if you're caught up with the thread. Null. Striker - Leaning JP because of the reasoning for voting on Pyro. @The Young Pyromancer - You've said many times that your actions have reasoning behind them, and if asked, you'd be happy to provide them. I would like to know your thought process behind claiming a Cultist, because I'm not seeing the advantages from a Korathi POV. Drake - Thank you for clarifying that you did not mean to say we lose immediately on losing the majority. Though this could be damaged control after a slip, I'm willing to overlook it, since my vote was on C1 suspicion anyway. I agree with focusing on people voting outside the primary lynch targets. But other you haven't posted enough for me to give a non-JP read. Null. Vote on Illwei might be to get village cred if you knew the lynch was V-V (think Kas mentioned this as well). Vapor - Opportunistic voting in both cycles, which makes me suspicious. Willing to overlook C1 vote because you weren't there, but not C2 vote because you basically followed Hael's reasoning. Sart - See the above points. Could be of any alignment. Reserving judgment until after this cycle. Illwei - Sticking with my gut non-JP read Elkanah - Going back to his spreadsheet, he was wrong about Ashbringer, and Mint. Stuck with Ashbringer for two cycles, so not sure if a JP would do that. Reading as non-JP. So, out of 8 people to combine vote on Ashbringer and Mint in the first cycle, I believe at least one is JP. Voters whose alignment is unknown to me at this point is Elkanah, Devotary, Vapor and Matrim. Of those, I'm most suspicious of Matrim's Dice
-
I fell asleep waiting for the next cycle to be posted. And now to answer @Ashbringer. Your suspicion on me was that I'm conveniently forgetting too many things. Not a single point about it. Now you're just telling my posts are odd. You've just gone through all my posts, basically repeating what I said, and selecting the ones that others might find suspicious. I'll answer them one by one. You're just repeating what multiple people have repeated, so I'll just repeat myself. My point was not to say "I'd be okay with lynching Cultists" which would be very stupid of me to say if I was JP. My point was "Let's not be scared of voting just because we might hit the Cultist". We're...taking Sart for his words? Just because he said he wanted to promote discussion doesn't mean he actually meant it. Yes, I thought Sart's intention was to draw out the people to oppose him and there's a good chance one of them opposing him might be JP. It's equally bad for the village and JP not to have the public Inquisition. I do not believe his claim that he did only wanted to promote discussion. His post was too extreme and aggressive to just promote discussion. But again. how does this make me look suspicious when I'm only questioning his intent? No? Drake told we'd lose if we lost majority. I found it suspicious because I knew (and I expected other villagers to know) we lose when every one of us is dead. Nowhere did I talk about the impact of losing the majority and subsequently losing the control of the lynch? Nowhere did I say "It's fine to lose majority, we can still win!", or implied anything close to it. Again, how is this suspicious? Seeing the content count is a very reasonable way to judge whether a player is new or old. It's a very obvious deduction to make. If a player's content is high, there's a higher chance that they have played a few games as compared to being a new player. The way Lotus framed the question is what made me suspicious. And now we know Lotus was attempting to act innocent, which is what I suspected. I didn't? I told since it was C1 suspicion, I hoped that I would be proven wrong by her in case I was wrong, but for now (then) I still suspected her. That's why I kept my vote. Bold and underline mine. Think as in present tense, as in I still believe (at the time of posting) she is deliberately playing up her naivety. Besides, what is your point? Is it suspicious that I seemingly accepted her defence (according to you, which I did not) or that I kept my vote? I honestly do not know what to make of you. I still think you're trying to slather suspicion on me, as none of the points you mention hold up strongly. I'll put early pressure on your lynch. I will try to isolate your posts and see if it changes my mind. To be edited in with thoughts from posts of this cycle if no one else posts. EDIT: I did not understand a single thing from this post. Please explain. xD I...I'm sorry that having accurate reads in this game is actually painting suspicion on me, but I really can't do anything to help. I can't really stop looking for JP, can I? If I was a JP, it wouldn't make sense for me to push for Lotus lynch both here and in the doc. Disagree with lynch on Illwei. I read their post thinking from JP perspective as genuine thought process regarding game mechanics. Gut non-JP. Leaning slight Korathi on Gears for the vote hop in the end. If Ashbringer is JP and Gears is JP, Gears might have believed Ash is Cultist and voted for him. But he had no reason to shift his vote to Mint. Even Cultist!Gears would have no motivation to change the vote from JP (in this case) to Korathi, and I doubt anyone though Mint was KC. If Ash is not JP and Gears is JP, there is no difference in voting for Mint or Ash (assuming Ash is Korathi this time). So he wouldn't have changed his vote from Ash to Mint. Cultist!Gears in this scenario would have no incentive to jump from one villager to another. This is what makes me believe that Gears is Korathi. Disagree with how surely you're telling this. But my thought process depends on my assumption of how the Jeskeri carry out their Inquisition. If they are just voting in PMs, then Lotus would not know that she was dying, so she could have defending a fellow JP like you said. BUT, she could also have tried to defend a villager that was up for lynch to get village cred. At the time of her statement, Ash had 4 votes and Mint had 1. This is a very possible scenario. If they are voting in docs, then she knew she would die, so she could try to defend a person in the hopes that that person would be suspected after she died. Sure, the simplest assumption here is that JP defending JP, but you didn't even consider these scenarios, and voted on him solely for it. If it was in addition to some previous suspicion on Ash, I'd imagine. But that is not the case. ISO'd Ash. I think he's definitely not a Cultist. If he's a JP, I'm not sure why he would want to build a mislynch on me. Does he think I'm the KC? That's the only thing I can think of from JP!Ash perspective. Unsure. His attempts to paint suspicion on me is still too suspicious to ignore. If he's a Cultist, why choose me for a mislynch? That means I shouldn't vote for him, even if he's trying to kill me. Bah, this game. ISO'd Matrim because I started to feel kinda iffy about him. Call it gut. But found nothing, so still sticking with non-JP read. @Matrim's Dice, what was it that Mint asked you in the PMs that made you suspect her? That leaves Devotary and Vapor as the remaining people who voted on Mint. I'm not really sure if vote analysis can be used to root out the JP because we're not entirely sure if they will go for themselves or for the Korathi Cultist. So, I'll leave these two alone for now. I'm torn between Sart and Ash, but I'll give Ash the benefit of the doubt, at least until he replies to this post. @Elbereth, tagging you here because I'm voting while editing the post.
