Yay! I was kinda rooting for Vapor and Mint (my alliances after my main alliances died off), so I'm glad Vapor won. Team - G, let me reiterate by telling I did not betray your info to anyone, I just let them know if they were in trouble xD Good game everyone!

Good job @Illwei! Great game as an elim. @Matrim's Dice was our best player and @The Young Pyromancer came good after I died. I had fun while it lasted. Thanks @Zillah for running the game!

Ahh, okay. I guess everyone is up scheming in PMs, and well.. discussing stuff in-thread is not exactly ideal.

Then the player with most no. of kills wins the game, and if someone has 2 kills in 2 cycles already, I salute you. xD So... I haven't read The Rithmatist, so I'm sort of shying away from all the RP-ing to avoid any sort of spoilers, hope that's understandable!

So...the first storming game in which I'm something other than village! Sort of excited for that. Anyone going solo and not wanting any allies - "I work better when I'm alone" superhero types?

Are Group PMs allowed during the Preparation phase? Can a player with Osborn defense create group PMs?

Going back to Vapor's previous (and only) elim game MR44, there was some serious distancing she attempted between her and Araris even though it wasn't in C1. So yeah, I'd say it's not a stretch to assume she might have distanced herself from Experience and/or Mint. My reads are similar to Matrim's. The only differences would be - village on Ashbringer, Null on Elkanah (probably would have been village if not for that statement supporting Experience/Mint), and gut village on Kynedath. Confirming that the context of the AN PM was the same as Ash said, and I had deduced it was from Ash because he stated in-thread that he kinda knew my secret reasoning for vote on Sart. Also, I think it's making it easier for the elims if we tell our actions on the same night rather than the next morning even if the action is harmless. For example, Matrim and Elkanah have told they have Connection so the elims know they do not have dangerous actions like Survival which can redirect the elim kill back to the elims. So Matrim and Elkanah are now "safe targets" for the elims.

He... is Matrim? xD

Soft clearing Matrim for voting on Vapor before she soft-claimed and the vote in D1, and Illwei for a reasoned vote on Vapor in D1. Not sure why Illwei wouldn't follow it up in D2, but they thought they were tunneling, so that's fair. Vapor voted on Mint in D1, but as it was a poke vote, it could easily be distancing. The only reason that the vote remained was because Vapor wasn't on to change it. If she was, she would have changed it to save herself from the tie. Mint also voted on Mist in D1 and gave not-so-convincing reasoning. Since Sart is believed to be village, there's a good chance one of Lotus or Mint is elim.

Double the damage meaning you can kill 2 people? Is there a lynch to vote out players? I'll sign up. Character to come later.

If Lotus is village, we have 2 possible elim-y actions the previous Night. The NK and Coercion on Lotus. It is possible that a villager could have used Coercion, but I think an elim using it is a lot more likely. Claims: Lord Silber - Research - Can be confirmed later TJ - Sabotage - Confirmed by Elkanah Matrim - Sabotage - No way to confirm but no reason to lie as Lotus would have caught him in lie as he wouldn’t know she didn’t use her action (unless both are elims which doesn’t seem to be possible as he was voting her out). Mint - Connection - No way to confirm Kynedath - Survival - No way to confirm, but easy to catch in lie. Unlikely to have lied. Experience - ? Illwei - ? Ashbringer - ? Sart - ? Lotus - DNU but would have been Role-blocked Elkanah - Role-blocked Vapor - ? Pyromancer - DNU - No way to confirm One of the (?) used Planning to AN PM me, and I think I know who it is (not gonna out them if they do not want to). Sart is apparently village. That leaves Vapor, Illwei, Ashbringer, Experience, (minus the one who PM'd me), Mint if she lied, Pyro if he lied and Kynedath in the unlikely event if he lied. If we have to further reduce the list, we could remove Illwei if Vapor flips elim (D1 vote) and Kynedath’s claim seems villager-y to me. So we have Vapor, Ashbringer, Experience, Mint and Pyro, minus the Planning Person to bring it down to 2 in 4. Of course, the 2nd elim in the list depends on Lotus being village. Further development can be made after knowing the alignment of Vapor, i.e. did she submit the elim kill or Coercion, or did she do neither and there are two others in the list, etc. Probably my last post for the cycle, so see ya later.

You...are claiming?
-
If we vote out Vapor and she flipped elim, there is a high probability that Lotus was an elim trying to save Vapor (2E). If Vapor flips village, no exact alignment info can be gained about Lotus with guarantee (1V 1?) If we vote out Lotus, and she flips elim, there's no guarantee that Vapor is an elim as well because there's nothing for elim!Lotus to lose by creating a tie between 2 villages (1E 1?). If Lotus flips village, again no indication of Vapor's alignment (1V 1?)

You didn't take any action? The action you took succeeded?

As you've not played the last couple of games, I'm slowly phasing out of aggressive analysis approach because it's time-consuming and I do not want to be locked to one play style. Besides, there isn't much to analyse at this point, and I've already have my suspect for the cycle and gave reasoning for it. And I don't know if this would even happen if she was roleblocked. I certainly think it's interesting that she didn't mention it. @Lotus, were you told you were roleblocked? If so, why not mention it? Some more thoughts: Matrim feels more village this cycle, and I'm maintain my mild village read on Illwei, so I believe all 3 voters on Vapor last cycle were village. Votes on Mist came after there was a train on Vapor. Voters include Sart, Mint, and Lotus. If we are to believe Sart is village, that leaves us with Mint and Lotus. As I said, I'm not really sold on elim! Lotus unless elim!Vapor. Waiting for an answer like Matrim. Fringe voters include Elkanah, who voted for Kynedath to specifically have a counter vote against Vapor, but I'm not sure because it could be villager trying to diversify the vote to prevent bandwagoning as well. Unsure. Unsure about votes on Mint because I'm unsure of Mint. Ashbringer's reason seems solid, whereas Vapor's was a poke vote. Experience, Kynedath, Silber, Pyro and Elandera did not vote. Elandera is dead, but possibly at least one of the elims in the other 4 I'll admit when I posted my action result, I was hoping it would encourage other villagers to do so as well, so now we force the elims to lie to cover-up any elim-y seeming action if they want to post it in-thread. Hopefully we can catch some of them in their lie.
-
Before others misunderstand, there wasn't any kind of offer in the PM I received, so I doubt Elkanah was the one who AN-PM'd me. He is probably joking here. xD
-
My hidden reasoning was based on a single post of Sart's. It was based on something I have observed as being increasingly used by elims, but it's not a strict elim-only alignment indicative, as it's not impossible for villagers to do it as well. But because I've seen it being used by elims more, I wanted to see if my theory is true. Apparently not. About the claim, I've not seen Silber pulling any risky moves in the past, so I'll believe his claim (albeit with raised eyebrows). He knows that if anyone gets Research next he'll be the likely target (and yeah, if anyone else does get Research, consider using it on Silber) so this was definitely a high-risk move for an elim. For the person who sent me an anonymous message: No. Since roles are not permanent in the game, I intend to reveal my actions for each Night in the following Day in the interest of transparency to provide more info. I got Passion of Passions from Table II and I chose to role-block Elkanah. I figured if Vapor and Lotus are elims, they wouldn't submit elim kills since they would be the obvious choice to role-block, so I went with one of the fringe voters who did not participate in Vapor-Mist voting. So he did not submit the elim kill, but still could be an elim. He could have redirected my role-block onto someone else but I'm not sure if elims can use 2 actions per Night. @Zillah, can an eliminator use both elim kill and the Passion action during the same night? Lotus is not doing us any favors, because if she's village, elims have a proper reason to bandwagon because she voted on herself and we'd get very less info from such a voting cycle. So I'll be voting for Vapor because elim!Vapor would given more evidence to elim!Lotus, but not the other way around.
-
Well, okay. That seems genuine enough.

@Frozen Mint, I have a feeling that I figured out an elim tell, so I will not be telling my reasons now because if Sart is an elim, he'd avoid doing it in the future. Got a question in return. Why would you assume Sart's vote on Mist was a poke (as I saw no much indication), and if you thought he was going to remove his vote, why were you inclined to vote for someone you thought might not get voted out. @Elandera, what was the correct name? Whom did you intend to vote on initially? @Ashbringer, what evidence? I can't find our reasoning to vote on Mint anywhere in the post from which I quoted. This sort of feels like @Matrim's Dice throwing shade on Lotus just before rollover, like he knew there's a chance Mist would die, and he knew her alignment. I would have understood if he made this statement right after Lotus voted, because I agree with him, and it's uncharacteristic of Lotus as she usually refrains from voting (when village) if she's not sure whom to vote for in the first cycle. She has never "I voted because I felt I had to vote for someone". So, for the moment, I'm more suspicious of Lotus than Matrim. Votes on Vapor were from Illwei, Matrim and Mist, and as Mist flipped village, and I find Illwei village, in case Matrim is village too, that means some sort of deliberate attempt to save her, so Lotus' vote is even more suspicious in that context. It is further supported by Vapor's claims that she would have saved Mist, because as y'all have said, the only way she could have done it is to vote on herself, and "being nice to sister" is seriously doubtful because the Mist was voting on Vapor. So top suspicions - Vapor, Lotus. If Lotus flips village, focusing on Mat.

Letting you all know that rollover is an inconvenient time for me, and I probably won't be around for like 6 hours before the rollover. The best I can probably manage is to stay till 4 hrs before the time, so the last minute voting out discussions will have to be done without me. I'll probably turn in for the night now (I've got a terrible headache). But if I end up doom-scrolling on Twitter, I'll probably stay for a couple more hours. Due to the lack of discussions till now, I'm happy to keep my vote as it is. Not exactly suspicious of Kynedath about non-voting discussion as he told he will be talking about the roles pretty early in the cycle (and he brought the thread back to activity so that counts for something). At least, not suspicious enough to vote in the first day. I consider is NAI.
-
@Elkanah, just to clarify, I do not feel off about you and Sart for secret reasons. My read on you is purely gut by reading your posts. I meant my vote on Sart has a reason I do not want to say.
-
Just noticed the players aren't tagged in the OP, so I'm tagging players who aren't here yet (excluding those I've seen noticing the thread). @Frozen Mint, @Lotus, @The Young Pyromancer, come play!
-
Well I wouldn't say paranoia. It's more like looking too much into things. But I do this only in C1/D1 because there isn't much content. I mean, players have voted out a GM before. Square brackets, Vapor!

Hello! Feels like it's been a while! First impressions - I do not feel good about Elkanah and Sart. I have a reason , but I'm not ready to tell it yet because of... reasons. Feeling good about Kynedath and Illwei. Matrim - general good feeling except for that bit about his activity. Feels like a reason to go under the radar later in the game. As for my approach regarding tables, it will be situational. If I suspect someone and hope to confirm it, I'd choose politicking so I can confirm either by role-blocking or preferably alignment scanning. If I have cleared someone as village, and I wanted to speak with them, I'd choose politicking because PM percentage is higher in that table. If I'm fairly sure of my reads, I'd go for safety if I'm convinced I'll get analysis-killed. Same if I feel like someone is a surefire target of the elim kill. I agree with Illwei that villagers do not have any motivation to use Table III (elims do, the whole table seems to be made for them. Not only can they get an extra kill, they can coerce us to use Table III to catch us as well). The only reason I'd use Table III is if I'm sure of 2 elims, and only one is being discussed in thread, so I can kill another. @Zillah, can we know the Order of Actions?
