  1. Hold on, hold on. That's a lot of pages to wake up to. Why do we want to muddle up the source of the message by allowing it to pass multiple times? Why do we not just lynch the person mentioned in PMs, and if they turn up village, then claim who messaged us to find the source of the message? Mislynches are common in C2. If we let the message run to the next cycle, then lynch the person in the PMs next cycle and they turn up village, and the cycle after that we would attempt to find the origin of it, by then the messages would be too muddled for us to find the origin of it. So this way, we can find at least one elim by the end of next cycle. I don't think Reading is actually the TLR. After Ash mentioned his activity, I went and checked, and he had been active only for the first 24 hrs of C1. I don't find it likely that someone would have made the decision to join an alignment in the first half-cycle of the game.
  2. You make good points but coordinate with elims how? HI is in no way similar to TLR. HI could coordinate with elims because their role-scan is important to find important village roles and Hemalurgists. TLR is an alignment scanner so I'm not sure how or what they'd coordinate with elims, or how it would make LyLo occur sooner. You point about their vote is a good one, but I still think I prefer not to waste a lynch on them. This is Books' 2nd game. The recently concluded LG71 was their first. They just said they didn't prefer an elimination in the first round, which I think is a common sentiment for a new p layer to have. So it's not really about logistics or details, and when you played it up as a good idea, I found it suspicious. I actually agree with Aman with respect to Illwei. I've noticed that Illwei is a lot more confident when she's village than when she's elim. I particularly noticed the difference while playing LG70 (confident village Illwei) on the back of LG69(hedgy elim Illwei). That 'law of averages' vote against Gears doesn't help it either. And I don't even think he was trying to throw shade on you, he just told he wasn't immediately reading you village like he did last game. So I don't agree with the suspicion, and do not want him voted out on C1 based on the said suspicion. Illwei But this suspicion makes me read Whysper as village (subject to post C3 scrutiny of course). Reading Ash as village too for his push on killing outed elim-aligned TLR. And wow, five votes including mine with just around 90 mins to go. That's unheard of. Vote participation is important as elims can hide without voting, guys. 01:00PM here so I'll be heading off to sleep
  3. A lot of D1 discussion focused on TLR, which I feel is distracting us from today's lynch as we have only two votes so far. We should really be getting into lynch discussion at this point. I'll just give couple of thoughts on it and hope we'll move to lynch discussion. Why? Lord Ruler does not count for win-con, so we're basically wasting a cycle (or Mistborn wasting their kill). Suppose it's 17-4-1, if we lynch the Lord Ruler, it becomes 17-4-0. The no. of elims remain the same and we're no closer to achieving our win-con. We'd also have to be cautious about reading people as village till C3, as TLR can appear genuinely village till C3 and then join the elims. @Matrim's Dice, do we get to know the alignment chosen by TLR on their death? Lynch discussion! This post sounds really off to me. Ventyl has been here for a while, and presumably been a part of D1 Lynch/No Lynch discussion already. This feels like an attempt to pocket Books. But Ventyl told he'll be busy today and not to vote him out when he wasn't there so.. I don't really have something as suspicious as this. @Ventyl, come online so I can vote for you.
  4. Bahhh, I was side-eyeing Araris when I was getting too much LG67 vibes from this game. But the Aman kill and the lack of kill in that one cycle basically cleared Araris for me. So@Araris Valerian, being bad at reading the Hemalurgists actually helped you. I'm surprised I wasn't read as Hemalurgist as I felt I was all over the place in the doc. I had a lot of fun though. I had to decrease my doc activity later in the game to mimic a few inactive players to avoid being caught. Good game guys! Congrats to the elims. Straw and Mat, thanks for running the game!
  5. If we don't decide to lynch a player C1, we'll literally be in the same position C2. That is, with no clue like it was the beginning of the game. Sure we can discuss, but when you make it clear that you want to retract your vote, it's easier of the elims to pretend genuine suspicion. C1 lynch forces elims to lynch villagers, so by seeing the reasons each people give to lynch others and by seeing voting patterns, we have some basis for the next cycle. If not, we're just as blank next cycle as we are in this.
  6. Because I thought you were an elim Voidbringer!
  7. Yeah as Books said, the point was to kill Mist, not save Vapor.
  8. Bah, I really thought Mist was an elim!Voidbringer. Sorry about that.
  9. That's the post I referred to when I voted for Mist. Everything seems to be general consensus other than the village read on Mist. That's what is actually nagging me.
  10. I think TWS was just copying and pasting my post, Straw. xD
  11. C'mon, Danex. This is what Illwei didn't want us to do. 1/6 is not a chance I'm willing to take. We'd be just be doing elims work for them. The last time elims tried to call the bluff on the Elantrian when I asked them to protect Illwei, it failed and they lost a kill. It's believable that didn't attempt it again, and are trying to win this without attempting to kill the Hems. Besides, Connie told she and Turtle revealed their identities and deleted it in the doc in D1. So the fact that Turtle survived N1 is proof enough that Connie isn't an elim.
  12. Yes. Or equal to villagers in this game.
  13. We're close to LyLo already, Connie. So it doesn't matter that HI reveals their scan to elims. Elims will take at least 2 more nights (possibly 3 as well) if we do not lynch Hems in the Day. They might as well go for the normal win now.
  14. Straw confirmed that the write-up wouldn't show "attacked but survived" because your kill doesn't go through at all. Since the write-up did tell "attacked but survived", your kill went through and you weren't roleblocked. So, Mist is HI or Voidbringer or Protected. I don't believe anyone would protect Mist (unless there's a elim!Elantrian protecting elim!Mist), so my guess is Voidbringer or HI. This means the Awakener should have claimed by now because their target is most probably an elim. So the lack of a claim by Awakener makes me think this isn't the case as well. Maybe they are waiting for the Night turn to claim in PMs. But that shouldn't be the case as we're close to losing, so we need an elim lynch this cycle.
  15. Danex had 3 votes on him at the time. It's a very good claim to make to get out of a lynch, seeing as everyone would not want an extra kill to go to waste. And the votes did whittle down. Both Illwei and Connie retract their votes on Danex post his claim.
  16. You just killed yourself there. xD It was Ventyl who was lynched and not you. Yeah, I feel the same as I've already stated before. I'm sorry, I find it harder to believe that elims would go inactive than Danex fake-claiming Mistborn. Last time I thought elim team was inactive, most of them were indeed active (*cough* LG67). Actually why is this role useless for an elim? A double life is equally useful to players irrespective of their alignment. There's no reason why she's not an elim Voidbringer. What really got me looking into Mist is, I started going back through Ashbringer's posts and he mentions her as his village read, which is weird because there was no real reason why anyone would read her as village at that point. Mist wasn't on (or at least she didn't post) during the night as well. Ahh, this might not seem like a good idea, but I'm confident about it for some reason. Mist.
  17. Yeah, that seems fair. They did seem like they wanted to kill trusted villagers (or suspected Hems?) when they killed Illwei. Yes, that makes you a suspect.
  18. You're assuming Mist is HI and has managed to contact the elim at this point? If Danex is elim, it makes sense for him to attack one of his previously stated suspicion, and if HI!Mist has not yet found a way to contact them, they he wouldn't know Mist is HI. But yeah, there's a lot of 'ifs' in my guess. I suppose you're right. I think this is the first time I'm seeing an elim kill not being submitted since I began playing here, so I'm a bit skeptical about it.
  19. Okay suspicion bells ringing. Why would you think they could all be inactive when they've sent a kill just the last cycle? And there's no indication and anyone specifically went inactive from last night cycle to this? I find it more plausible that Danex would use the elim kill to pretend as the Mistborn kill and feign innocence about the lack of elim kill. Elims could have also not used the elim kill to frame Danex, but I don't know why they'd lose out on a kill when they can always mislynch someone else. @Straw, I'd imagine "attacked but survived" is written only if the target is protected by Elantrian, or is immune to kills (Voidbringer or HI). The message is NOT given if the attacker is roleblocked right? Okaaay, let's see. First cycle ended in Elkanah 4-4 Ventyl. RNG killed Ventyl, so it's just pure luck that you're here. I'm a Feruchemist and I didn't believe in the reasons for the vote on Elkanah so I attempted to manipulate the vote to save him. Apparently, that was also the same idea Devotary had, as she was also a Feruchemist and attempted to move the same vote I was attempting to, so our actions cancelled each other, and Ventyl died to RNG. During Day 2, Aman made a very good case against Elandera, which many agreed, but she was village. Someone saved Illwei suggesting the presence of an active (at the time) village Elantrian since Illwei has flipped village. Turtle and Devotary were killed in the same round, to Aman's Mistborn kill and elim kill. Both were Hemalurgists. Ashbringer was lynched and found to be elim. I was on the opposite side of Ash lynch, so I generated a fair bit of suspicion. In the following cycle, I saved myself from a lynch by vote manipulation, at which point I was forced to claim my role. Think that's it so far. This is the point where paranoia grows exponentially and my brain stops thinking logically. I know there are good reasons that show contrary to the fact that Araris or Whysper might be elims, but just little things are making me paranoid that one of them is.
  20. This really sounds like a excuse to get out of proving that you're a Mistborn, so that when there isn't a kill reveal next day, you'd just claim you were roleblocked. If you're a villager, it doesn't matter that you could be roleblocked because it's the sixth night. There's a possibility of us losing in this turn itself, so there's no point in saving your kill for later. So, please do use your kill.
