  1. Maybe he meant it literally? Something made of Iron, perhaps a Spike? Koloss? Okay, so I promised I'll look into the players who have played with Araris long enough to fear-kill him so here goes: Removing players who weren't active and didn't vote. Huh, all 5 of them voted on Lord Silber. I'm willing to remove Burnt from the list, because her last post feels village (also, no more pretty art if we lynch her ) . I'll also remove Drake because he voted for Lord Silber first, and wasn't there when the train formed on him. Otherwise as well, he seems to drive discussion and gives off a village vibe. Devotary seemed to vote on Lord Silber in response to the warning by Araris, so that's another name removed of the list. That leaves us with: There could be a good possibility both could be elims. Not sure whom to choose over the other. Mist's response to Araris might be genuine, but also might be a little fake. Seriously, though I'm not used to active!Mist (in-thread), so that might be it. I'll vote for Mist now. But please, guys discuss whom to lynch. Mention your suspicions. Give reasons, and defend yourselves. We need a consolidated vote in order to prevent a hammer. I'd like to move to the Kitchen to see what in the rusts happened there.
  2. Alright, this is for Day 2 with votes in Ventyl - Gears order: (I'll also add important posts which I find AI) I vote for Ventyl based on my suspicion in the previous cycle. 1-0. Gears follows. 2-0. Ventyl votes in self preservation on me. 2-0. Ashbringer wants explanation about Ventyl's confusion about Squiring taking charges. 3-0. Truthwatcher votes on Ventyl because he felt Striker continuous defended him. 4-0. Araris votes on Gears based on previous cycles suspicion. He states here he finds me and Ventyl village. Mild village but could be using elim knowledge to gain village cred. 4-1. Pyro votes on Elbereth purely based on Orlok's suspicion. Gives no reason himself. Neutral leaning mild elim. Ventyl changes his vote to Gears, possibly due to him having one more vote than me. 4-2. Araris tells that Ventyl might want to think changing his playstyle as he believes currently it objectively helps the elims. He recommends finding balance between trolling and being helpful to the village. I feel he is somewhat genuinely showing mild annoyance that Ventyl's actions aren't helpful to the village. Village read this post. Matrim voted on Gears, probably as alternate because by now he has been Squired by Ventyl. 4-3. Elbereth defends Gears and Ventyl, and is beginning to doubt her elim read on me. I feel like an elim would not be quick to give 3 village reads when she has good reasons to find them all suspicious. Further, when asked for her reads, she tells she doesn't know, which feels genuine. An elim would offer at least one mislynch candidate if they are (almost) clearing 3 villagers. Village post. Ash retracts his vote off Ventyl as he feels he needs to step back. 3-3. Joe votes on Gears as he feels Ventyl is village. 3-4. Mage votes on me. Anyone starting to find this suspicious? Like he pushed too strong and now feel like he cannot back out of it abruptly without seeming suspicious? Orlok votes for Ventyl based on gut. Finds me gut village. Haven't thought about Gears. Find it kinda odd since he had his vote on Gears for the entirety of D1. Mild elim. 4-4. Mint votes on Gears because she feels he's tunneling on Ventyl, and she'd rather lynch him. Unsure of AI. 4-5 Joe retracts his vote off Gears after reading my argument that Gears and Striker had voted on each other and kept their votes when it seemed detrimental to each other. 4-4. Pyro is fine with lynching Ventyl. Unsure. 5-4. Ash votes for Gears. 5-5. Elbereth votes for Matrim, presumably by reading the current page and thinking a lynch was between Matrim and Ventyl. She's still against the Ventyl lynch. Pyro disagrees with Elbereth's vote on Matrim, yet feels like they're she was distancing herself from Matrim. What was the need for her to distance herself from him? Mild elim on Pyro. 4-5. Magestar ties the lynch with a vote on Ventyl. He's not terribly suspicious of him, and tie sounds good to him. Paranoid!me is reading Mage elim. 5-5. Devotary breaks the tie and votes for Ventyl. She feels he's more village than at the start of the cycle. But it was in vain anyway, as a vote had been removed from Gears confirming the presence of at least a Windrunner or a Stoneward (both of which was mentioned by Striker as the possible elim Radiants). So I'm tempted to believe that the vote removal was from an elim either to save or to implicate Gears. Don't see an elim voting at the last minute on a person they know is a village KR, so I'm leaning mild village on Devotary. Unwilling to lynch (at this point): Matrim, Araris, Joe, Kynedath, Mint, Truthwatcher. Unsure: Magestar (leaning elim), Gears (leaning village), Elbereth (leaning village), Lahilt, Orlok (leaning elim), Devotary (leaning village), Pyro. Village read on Truthewatcher because he desired to lynch Ventyl in D1, but did not vote as he voted to give him a chance to Squire, and then actually followed his seemingly genuine suspicion on Vently in D2. Unsure about Gears because I'm a little scared he piggybacked onto my tunnel on Ventyl as he could them give the same reasons I did to escape a lynch. Unsure about Lahilt because he wanted to lynch Ventyl in D1 but did not vote at all in D2. I really hope we do not have an inactive Illuminator. I hope they were using their other Surges - Progression to save someone (possibly me or Mat), and Transformation to alignment scan. I really hope once the PMs are open, we have at least 2 alignment scan results to go, and the Scanner could reveal it to the person they trust, who could them reveal it in thread. And yes, we definitely need more village participation because I'm scared of the same thing so I'll start pinging everyone (except perhaps Orlok and Elbereth who seem to be dealing with IRL issues. Don't feel compelled to contribute guys, real life is more important.) @xinoehp512, @A Joe in the Bush, @Kynedath, @Frozen Mint, @Lord_Silberfarben, @Illwei, @Zillah - My two posts of this cycle should give you a brief idea of how the voting and the game went in the initial cycles. If you wanted to play, but could not give time to go through all the posts, this is your chance. Just disregard my personal opinion in the posts. @The_Truthwatcher, come vote. I think Eternum was pinged by Gears earlier.
  3. Hahaha, Kas! You turned my suspicion into an innuendo! Loving the write-ups. xD As for the eliminator kill, I'm going to go semi-meta seeing as how Araris seems to have been fear-killed. Makes me think the suggestion or the kill was made by someone with thorough, or at least a decent understanding of how dangerous Araris could be. There are probably a lot of such players but maybe we can cross-reference it with the ones who voted for Silber and get a suspect pool. I'll get the names a bit later. But apparently, there's Biochromatic Breath in the game? Along with other roles? Could one of the roles be a Nalthian?
  4. Here's a brief overview of the voting sequence in Day 1 chronologically followed by votes on prime lynch candidates in TJ - Striker - Ventyl - Gears (TSVG) order: Elbereth votes on me. Random vote to promote discussion. NAI. 1-0-0-0. Ventyl pokes Joe. N/A. Araris stabs Ventyl. NAI for him. 1-0-1-0. Elbereth retracts her vote off me and onto Ventyl, a V-V shift. She finds his understanding that RI are important suspicious. Hmm, sure I can see the village perspective that Ventyl could have been attempting to learn the roles of the village. Very mild village. 0-0-2-0. Ventyl pseudo-claims. Elbereth states she fails to understand why an elim would claim, and retracts her vote off Ventyl and onto Matrim as he was apprehensive about claiming to Ventyl. While I understand her retraction from village POV, her vote on Matrim? Not much. Especially when Matrim is basically agreeing with her. Could also be using the chance to back out the Ventyl lynch to avoid suspicion? Still the post seems very genuine. Very mild elim. 0-0-1-0. Striker votes on Gears. Mentioned it several times, but the push is hard, while Gears is just warning us to be wary. To repeat myself, telling Gears caused paranoia seems excessive. Mild village on Gears. 0-0-1-1. Orlok immediately follows Striker with a vote on Gears stating he rubs him wrong. I think elim!Orlok would know this would be suspicious, but I'm not exactly sure. Very mild elim on the assumption that Gears is village. 0-0-1-2. Gears votes on Elbereth after being convinced that nothing will happen if people delay their votes. Unsure. NAI? 0-0-1-2. Sart votes Striker. 0-1-1-2. Matrim follows. Elim would not be so quick to bus after just one vote. Village on Matrim. 0-2-1-2. Is this the point the elims start to get a little worried about Striker? I vote for Ashbringer. But also mention suspicion on Striker, both for his grav-kill question and for his vote on Gears. 0-2-1-2. Gears retracted their vote on Elbereth after I asked why they did so. Admits his fault of being reactive. Mild village. 0-2-1-2. Ventyl retracts his vote on Joe after Joe requested not to be killed until he was free. Magestar finds fault in my suspicion on Ash and Striker. If Mage was an elim looking for alternate lynch candidates for Striker that was not Ventyl (because voting for Ventyl might have been suspicious if he ended up getting lynched), he could have voted for Gears. So we have two scenarios - Mage and Gears are elims together OR Mage is village genuinely suspecting me. I'm leaning towards the latter, and as such give mild village read. 1-2-1-2. Elims now have a potential mislynch candidate (or 2 depending on Gears' alignment). Ventyl votes on me because he felt me chiding him for his [not Willshaper] reveal was an attempt to act village. 2-2-1-2. (V-E-V-?) Eternum votes at this critical point on Ventyl. He starts with saying he has a village gut read on Ventyl, but by the time he finished his post, he isn't sure, and he votes on him. I.. don't know what to make of this honestly. More to come because I know he shifts his vote to me later. 2-2-2-2. Elbereth votes on me as she preferred me to die over the others. While it should be suspicious. she also gave her reads in the post, most of which I agreed at the time except, of course, Ventyl, Matrim, and maybe Eternum, It's important to note she did read have a gut suspicion on Striker, but felt it was normal for her to feel that way about Striker in D1. She didn't point this out after Striker flipped elim, which makes me read her as village. Accompanied by posts that seem so genuine like this makes me want to lean village at this point: (3-2-2-2) Matrim retracts his vote off Striker citing confusion. Unsure. 3-1-2-2. Gears votes on Striker as me and Striker are the alternate lynch candidates. He finds Striker's votes on his more suspicious. and he doesn't particularly suspect me. As Striker flipped elim, this makes Gears looks good. 3-2-2-2. Araris changes his vote from Ventyl to Devotary. Mentions Devotary's neutrality. Mentions the possibility of elim!Striker if Devotary is evil. Could be backtracking from a Ventyl lynch but with his playstyle, no one would blame him if he did end up partaking in the said lynch. Mild-to-moderate village. 3-2-1-2. Eternum returns stating he now has the strongest village read on Ventyl. He voted to see the train form, but did not give it enough time to build. This feels like he saw Ventyl claim a KR, and voted for him, then realized (or was told by teammates) partaking in the lynch would be suspicious, and hence he made the change. This opinion is heavily biased because I believe at least one of the players who voted on me are elims, and I feel it's Eternum (and maybe and/or Elbereth) over Araris. I forgot to tell he voted on me. Moderate elim. This vote also made me a clear front-runner in the lynch. 4-2-0-2. Pyro votes Ventyl because he sees similarities between this game and LG66 in which Ventyl was an elim with him. Unsure. 4-2-1-2. Pyro retracts after reasoning from Gears that it we had all decided to let Ventyl Squire in case he was telling the truth. Again, unsure. 4-2-0-2. Matrim votes back on Striker, staying firm, no fearing suspicion, despite earlier confusion. Moderate-to-strong village. 4-3-0-2. Araris votes on me as he prefers my lynch over Gears. No opinion on Striker? 5-3-0-2. At this point, there was 11 hrs left in the cycle, so I'd really like to deduce the elim's thoughts. Were they comfortable with a 2 vote lead over Striker? They could have easily added a vote or two to make sure I get lynched without drawing suspicion, as everyone was fine with lynching me. This makes me think there are/were 1-2 semi-actives in the elim team, at least in D1. 5-3-0-2. I vote on Gears to save myself. I had missed Gears' vote on Striker in pt. 20. so in my mind, the count was (5-2-0-2). I preferred Gears' over Striker because I was basically convinced by the general consensus that my suspicion was unwarranted. 5-3-0-3. Joe votes on Striker. As I said earlier, he could have pretended to be inactive, or even joined and found me suspicious, if he was an elim. Unless something ridiculous, like Striker not able to be active in the game and deliberately offering himself as the bus, I think Joe is clear. 5-4-0-3. Mage moves his vote to Ventyl, as later claimed to see how I react. Right now, he claimed to decrease my lead and stir things up. Hmm, I'm not sure whether to read this as village or elim. On one hand, a villager might be curious to see what might happen, on the other hand an elim might see if they can somehow sneak out a lynch on Ventyl. But since Striker did not end up voting for Ventyl, I'm leaning village here. 4-4-1-3. I am made aware of the correct vote count, and hence switch my vote to Striker to save myself. 4-5-1-2. Lahilt votes Ventyl. Probably seeing as I promised to vote for Ventyl if there is more traction there. Unsure if it is an elim lynching Ventyl. 4-5-2-2. I move my vote to Ventyl as promised. 4-4-3-2. Ventyl retracts his vote on me, and shifts to Joe. 3-4-3-2. Now is when Striker changes his vote from Gears to me (yes, the same post I mentioned 7 times). 4-4-3-1. Again, seems like a great opportunity to lynch Ventyl, but maybe elims were cautious or as I said earlier, inactive. I change back to Striker to save myself. 4-5-2-1. Gears retracts his vote on Striker. 4-4-2-1. I meant this post to include analysis on those who didn't vote, and the reason they didn't as well as to bifurcate the player list into "willing to lynch" and "unwilling to lynch", but well, this seems long enough. I'll try to do one for Day 2, but I can't give assurances. Basically, I get the feel that Gears is village. Really unsure about Elbereth. All her posts seem to scream "village" the only thing on the elim side of her is voting for me. I'd have to check through some previous games in which she's elim to see if she shows any fake concern towards the village, but again, not a guarantee. For now, leaning very very mild village. Biggest suspect is Eternum. As I believe either Eternum or Elbereth or both are elims who voted for me, I'd be happy to offer him as the alternate.
  5. Silber, you still haven't voted. Edit: Silber has 5 votes on him. @Mist, xino voted for him as well. Edit 2: I'll just multi-edit my post here because I assume most of you are asleep, but as it stands, there will be 4 deaths in the very first cycle, sheesh. So @Orlok Tsubodai, @Eternum, if you guys don't post something in like 3 hrs 30 min you're dead. Or not, if you've been sneakily submitting actions. But we'll find out.
  6. Yeah, I kinda feel like Vapor-Araris votes were poke votes gone wrong. Vapor. Gears. Edit: Yeah, @Kasimir, till now I was assuming the Secretary is one of the players. Is she NPC? Also, @Vapor, your vote for Striker still isn't colored.
  7. Will recalibrate my readings solely on the basis of D1 and D2 lynch votes. I'll can only conclude with a pool of suspects after that.
  8. Yeah, no I just realised there are a heck lot of possibilities. Someone could have made the kill target untargetable by Abrasion or removed the action by Tension. Someone could have swapped themselves with Ash. Yeah, it's better not to go down the rabbit hole and just assume it was elim kill till we have more information.
  9. Yeah, well this absolutely doesn't clear things up at all. Ashbringer had some amount of suspicion from Matrim and me. Why choose him for the kill? On another topic everyone seems to have forgotten (or rightly did not bring it up), I have Squired successfully. Edit: We need to consider the possibility that elim kill was role-blocked and Ash might have been the Division kill.
  10. True. Lol, how are we in this situation despite lynching an elim in D1? xD
  11. 2. Also, why are you considering Orlok as village? 3. Gears and Ash are possibly not elims together. Ash had his vote on Gears when it could have been fatal for Gears.
  12. Well, your gut has been accurate this game, so fair enough.
  13. @Matrim's Dice, why is Elbereth your biggest suspect?
  14. That's amazing! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Loqlaw had just began to search the growlery when another man, this one apparently drunk out of his mind, startled him by entering the room and promptly passing out on the floor. Who are these people? I chose the remotest part of the manor, and yet I'm here with a fellow who's sleeping without a worry, and a drunk. Loqlaw continued to scan the room, careful to avoid the two others in the room. He picked up whatever he found useful, but still didn't have a clue as to why he was sent here. Nothing too important stood out for him, so he was beginning to get anxious. Just as he finished his initial search of the room, a loud shriek reverberated across the manor. He quickly looks to his fellow occupants, and sighed thankfully. They were still asleep. He needed to check out the noise. He did not want to be seen as hiding if something had gone wrong. He rushed back to the main section of the manor, and noticed people crowded around the study. He joined them and looked in fear, for he was staring directly at the body of Talbot Oswin himself. Suddenly, everything fell in place. A horrifying thought crept in his mind as he realized he wasn't here to take anything. He was here as the fall guy. He was set-up, too perfectly in fact. Loyalty was never an attribute that was found often in his field of work, so he had expected betrayal at every point. But being blamed for murder? That, too by his contacts? That told he someone really important was at play here. He had never taken a life. No matter how much his victims deserved it, he preferred they lived through their embarrassment. He could feel the eyes of the other guests on him now, looking warily. Do they know he didn't belong here? There was only thing he could do. Solve the crime himself. That was the only way to get out of this mess, and he had to figure it out very quickly. He looked around as people were already dispersing. He particularly focused on a couple of guests. He recognized one of them - Augusta Christine, a famed author specialized in murder mysteries, and she was with another man he had heard people as Zachary. Wait! Didn't I catch a glimpse of them walking towards the study earlier as I hurried through the manor? And now they're going in the direction I came from, perhaps to the growlery? What if there are more than one killers? Are they going to plot in secret? Are they going to kill again? His mind racing with several questions, he waited until the guests dispersed, each choosing a room of their wish. Anywhere but the study. But he stayed. As soon as the commotion died down, he'd start looking for oddities. Something that stood out. He had an eerie feeling that he was about to unravel a thread of mysteries, and the thread began right here in the Study. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Gears, as I hinted in the RP above, you and Drake seem to be following each other into the same rooms. Seems like you've got something important to discuss. Like whom to kill next. Also guys, is anything interesting happening in your Room PMs? I've chosen a rather dead room (again as hinted by the RP ) where the only conversation is between me and Kas xD
  15. Yeah, in the beginning maybe. But we slowlry started discussing kandra!you possibilities. One of the things that actually worked (not as intented ) is we decided Mage should fake having an extra charge to protect Pyro, in order to dissuade you from killing him. But that ended up persuading you instead xD
  16. Yeah sorry about that xD I mean, we were right to be suspicious of you, and make a group without you I think the one with you had like 5 pages.
  17. Lol, the group PM of me, Pyro and Mage had reached 15 pages
  18. Let's confuse the elims. It's absolutely shameless for me to ask for protection, since I played a major part in the death of one with protection, but I have to. Protect me, or protect Mat, or do not protect anyone at all. It's your wish. There. Doubt sown.
  19. It's no use. Either an elim did it to frame you, or you're an elim with protection from fellow elim, or it was a fellow village Radiant who believed in your innocence, in which case they should NOT fess up.
  20. I can't quite trust myself right now, since most of my analysis hinged on Ventyl being elim. I was wrong, and I'll gladly follow someone else's train of thought that I find acceptable come D3 (if I'm alive).
  21. Yeah, no worries. Respond in your own time. There's barely any time left anyway. I have other suspects I mentioned in the last night cycle. Would have lynched Eternum or Ashbringer this cycle, but they did not come up at all.
  22. I meant, Striker said that about you. It's not as if I refuse to believe you're village, Ventyl. There's just overwhelming evidence that you aren't, at least to me. You're just the most logical choice for me, out of everyone remaining. That's it. I have doubted myself several times - like the fact that you asked to be scanned by someone, or the fact that you made this plan to want the elims to attempt a mislynch on you. But still there's a lot more on the elim-side of the balance compared to the village side, and I'm just following it. The above statement you made feels genuine, but then again there's a part of me that feels like you're trying to paint me and Gears in a bad light, because if you flip elim, everyone will believe the opposite of what you told. Guess we'll have to see, huh. I'm sorry if you're being genuine. Mage, I know you retracted your vote on me, but I'll still reply because you put effort and time into your analysis, and it wouldn't be right of me to simply ignore it. First off, that was not my first post of the game, it was my second. As such, Elbereth's vote on me was not poke, as she explains herself later, she finds voting for already posted promotes discussion. Since her reason for her vote on me was to promote discussion, discuss I did. As to why I said what I said, I've played 3 complete games till now, and I've been killed in two, both for my analysis. That's what I meant by telling I think I was useful to the village. Now, obviously, he's changed positions. The first post you quote was based off Ventyl's first post (or one of the first). Obviously, once he started behaving suspiciously, I started to slowly change my opinion on him. It wasn't an easy question though? I caught a very suspicious question of his and even stated that the question was elim-y, and brought it all your attention. Everyone just brushed it off, and you even called me paranoid, so I dropped it thinking it was just me. Striker voted for me, man. If he wanted to save me, he could have voted for Ventyl. Striker could have joined me in lynching Ventyl, and I could have disappeared one vote off me and another off him to pull off a Ventyl lynch. Striker voted for me (how many times am I supposed to say this? ). I believe you are somehow unable to be objective in your approach, Mage. You have an idea of my alignment in your head, and you find posts of mine that fit and suit your agenda, meanwhile ignoring all the other posts which may signal the opposite. You're also heavily limiting your focus to one player, thereby narrowing your suspect pool a lot.
  23. Orlok landed in the Growlery guys. Any idea if Eternum and Windrunner are in any of your rooms?
  24. Yeah, I got the gist of it, no worries. I'll try to answer your questions. About Ventyl? He kept saying that his brother's behaviour was normal for him. Endddd. There were only 2 votes after he voted. My self-preservation vote on Striker, and Gears' retraction. There were upto 11 people "recently browsing". Yeah, I was noticing because so many people hadn't voted and I was up for a lynch. He knew about the train on Ventyl. He was online for a long time before posting so I assume he had read and caught up with the thread. So yes, Elbereth and Araris, you maybe right that there are other reasons as to why Striker voted the way he did. Now comes the big questions. Which one of the scenarios is most likely? Because everyone keeps IGNORING it! And y'all made the points after I pinged you multiple times. I'm happy where my vote is. I explained earlier that Striker's vote on Gears was too strong for it to be distancing. I will not partake in lynching him, or you for that matter. You're likely to be evil only if Ventyl is. Edit: A bit busy now. But I'll try to reply to Magestar's post before rollover.
  25. "Gah",Loqlaw was startled. There was already someone in the growlery. Luckily for him, they were soundly asleep. He contemplated going back and searching for another room, but in the end decided against it. Better to be in the vicinity of a single person, rather than a hoard of them. Carefully consider his actions, he slowly began to search through the room while tapping Chromium. He'd have a better chance of finding something important that way. He was careful with his Chromium reserves though. Storing it caused some..."unfortunate" events. Edit: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ @Orlok Tsubodai, @Eternum, guys come post something (and hopefully move to a room and submit a search action). This game has inactivity filter. @A Windrunner, you haven't voted for a room to move to. You might want to do that.
