  1. Before I possibly put myself on a kill-list by the Kandra or Elims, how well do you know the Coinshot kill went through? Pulsing isn't a Roleblock, I think it's a redirect, so if all your Archivist knows is that the Coinshot wasn't roleblocked then I don't know if that also means they weren't Pulsed. Plus it's still a 11/13 chance (or however many players there are minus two) that I mistakenly incriminate someone and there was something else weird going on. Knowing who the Coinshot is would help, but also probably be too risky for such a valuable role. Even in PM, that would be perfect Elim!Windwhisperer bait.
  2. *Cough* Shallan *Cough Cough*
  3. Oh dear. So I may have Pulsed either the Coinshot, Kandra, or an Elim. Uhhh... yeah, I'm not saying who I hit. That would be a bad idea whatever the circumstance. I did hit someone, though. It's just going to be difficult to tell, since daggers, dead targets, and Hemalurgists make it really hard to tell whether my Pulsing hit a kill action or not. If there are only two kills next turn, then I can probably half-clear my target. Assuming they don't kill me for revenge. HELP. Emi, I don't really suspect you, it's just I'm completely out of leads, and you did interact with Ventyl a lot. I was tunneling on Ventyl for two full cycles, and while I was luckily right, I'm out of leads. So now I have no idea which people to go after. I'll see if I can analyze Kynedath and Ventyl's interactions with people. I am a little worried that Elim!Mage could have been trying to bus an inactive Kynedath, but like TJ mentioned that's not really a lead. I will say, that it seems like our Coinshot has been killing off inactives, not necessarily suspects of the Village. I'm not entirely sure what that means for the village. Also, if an Elim Connector has been charging all this time, they can change a LOT more than two votes...
  4. Cassandra whirled as the door to Lord's shop opened. A man stumbled in, asking for a tavern or a beer. Cassie took a few steps back. She had no idea who this man was, but her first impression wasn't great. Lord-son-son-Silberfarben drug a box over to her. Cassie opened it, looking at the semi-complicated fabrial within. It wouldn't be portable, but it would do well for her Soulcasting. Cassie fished out the 300 chrysts, then went to hand them to Lord. Well, she wouldn't be able to drag the whole box back to her shop. "Do you have a cart or something that I could rent?"
  5. Cassie noticed a strange look on the man’s face. Perhaps he wished for her to negotiate a better price. Well, she thought it was fair. If it held up, it would become such a huge improvement to her business, not having to scurry to find a new infused amethyst when one cracked during a Soulcasting. Lord hurried into a room. Cassie took a step to follow, then hesitated. She didn’t know exactly what Lord-son-son-Silberfarben did in here, but she wasn’t sure if everything was... accessible to the eyes of curious shoppers.
  6. Ventyl told me his target a few hours before the N2-D3 reset. Emi answered a few hours after that reset, but before Pyro mentioned the plot in-thread. Yeah, now Elim!Emi doesn’t make much sense to me either. My main thing is I don’t know if Ventyl would have suspected a plot, since we were both seeming to plan having our Pulser and Leecher powers work together. But claiming to block another Elim would have been weird. The Kandra right now is essentially a Coinshot every other night with a win condition to be the last one standing.
  7. Something cracked within Tyrian. For an instant, he froze in place, the tunnel’s expansion ceasing before him. For an instant, his rage was replaced with a calm sense of dread, of broken hope, of feelings of inaction that he could barely describe to himself. For an instant, Cinder faded from red to nearly shadow, a look of shock and horror on his face. For an instant, Tyrian’s body was not his own. The instant, however, passed. Cinder reappeared as his normal self, a look of concentration on his face. “The bond. Focus on the bond. It gives order and it gives power. Focus!” Tyrian’s mind returned to the tempest. Stormlight blazed. Wrath burned. Dust billowed. And Tyrian.... “AAAAAAAUUUGGHHH!” Tyrian slammed his fists into the sides of the walls of his stone passage and finally released the storm. He felt cracks within the rock from the force of his Radiant, Blessed blow. And Division widened those cracks, creating holes, gaps, crevices, caves. Perhaps it would bring the whole block down on his head. Perhaps it would merely give him... options. Tyrian replenished his drained Stormlight. He was nearly out; aside from his final stash, he only had enough for two more feats of Radiance: two more battles, two more buildings broken, two more foundations split. Well, if those interlopers want to fight me, they’ll have to come to me. And Tyrian continued to burn through the stone, away from the ones who were trying to steal his mind.
  8. Maybe. But I asked Emi almost immediatly after D3 opened if “my PM friend” got her Roleblocked, and she replied that she wasn’t Roleblocked. At that point, the only ones who knew my plan were Pyro and myself, and I don’t know if Ventyl would have mentioned to an Elim doc that “hey, I told this villager that I’m Roleblocking you, so if he asks then say I did Roleblock you”. I don’t really know how suspicious Ventyl was of me asking him who he was roleblocking. He didn’t want me pulsing Araris, but IDK why. He seemed to be fishing for who I was suspicious of for “roleblock targets”, and I suggested one of the semi-inactives like Xino, Emi, or Lahilt. I guess what I mean is, I don’t know if Ventyl would have taken the precaution to let Elim!Emi in on the target claim. I can’t tell if Ventyl even knew there was a plan until it showed up in-thread, by which time I had already recieved confirmation of Emi not recieving a Roleblock message. Since TJ claims there was no targeting done by Emi, I think Village!Emi is more likely, but not a certainty. And it’s really the only lead that I have.
  9. Remember that Emi told me directly that she didn't get Roleblocked that turn, or at least she didn't recieve a message saying so. So saying that she did get roleblocked and submitted an action would be contradictory to her earlier statement, whcich would be incriminating if Ventyl flipped Elim. So Elim!Emi couldn't really say that Elim!Ventyl did roleblock her, because I would call her out on the contradiction, and possibly take down two different elims. Not necessarily saying that Emi is leaning Elim, but it's something to consider. The thing is... I can't really, if you mean in-game ability actions. I didn't Pulse anyone C3 because my only Elim lead was Ventyl, and I didn't want to disrupt his attempt at exonerating himself because I wasn't sure if he'd try switching his helper-target last minute. Since redirects tie with roleblocks it could end up a lottery as to whether my Pulse or Ventyl's Leech landed first. This is a bit of a risk, but I also bought the charged spike and used my action last turn to implant it. Not saying what power I got, but let's just say I'm... optimistically disappointed for what it gave me. I keep worrying about what the Kandra will do, not who it is. Now that a second Elim is down, the Kandra has to start being really careful about balancing the PRE and Loyalists. I guess we'll know tonight whether it's an inactive or not. But if we're all assuming that Araris died instead of self-destructing, then anyone's a suspect. I won't be super active today - especially around reset, I'm going to be busy tonight. Not such a huge deal on night turns, but just an FYI.
  10. I’d love to say that I knew it all along, but... that’s a relief. That was a loooong rabbit hole I had to chase down. However... now what? I suppose we can hyperanalyze Ventyl’s posts, but the only people really linked to him are me and maybe Emi. Signing off for tonight, I’ll be back for my Boxings in the morning.
  11. I mean, it makes sense when you put it that way. It's just that you didn't say anything about it... I don't have any motive to start Pulsing you. The moment I do that, my role in all of this moves from "accusing" to "framing", and while it would probably have gotten you lynched, if you flipped Village then I would be Coinshot fodder. I'm probably not going to be on for the next half hour, but I'm not really sure.
  12. Now THIS is a rabbit hole! I got two theories for now. One: Kelsier and his Bands of Mourning. The main theory that I've seen as to how Kelsier can get a body back is by Hemalurgically attaching himself to a mistwraith. As a Cognitive Shadow, he still has his Mistborn powers. However, every mistwraith is or is defended from a living Feruchemist. I think that mistwraiths have some latent Feruchemical ability, which allows Kelsier to exist as a Fullborn in the physical realm. Second, (and less crazily), during Mistborn Era 2 I think Spook is just sitting in a cadmium bubble somewhere.
  13. Raow looked up at the old human. He looked very tired, although from real exhaustion, metaphysical burden, or from some sort of old-person attitude the kitten wasn’t able to tell. The man seemed like he was just… finished, as if the thing he wanted most in the world – besides running his hands through Raow’s soft copper fur – was to not have to be the responsible one in the group. But Raow could see the people in the crowd. Many were looking at the man, Faleast. Some in awe, some in admiration, and some in anger. Raow didn’t think that they would stay mixed of opinion for long – his landlord was demanding that the crowd give a Loyalist up in a few hours. He felt Faleast continue to pet him. His little bumps in his spine, the little sharp copper things, didn’t seem to bother him very much. Perhaps he just thought he was bony, or something. Raow felt… Connected to the man. He couldn’t really explain it, much like how he couldn’t explain why he felt obligated to mentally capitalize the word “Connected”. He hadn’t even learned what capitalization was until two days ago. Still, Raow thought he liked Faleast. They shared similarities he didn’t have a name for. I really need to re-read that dictionary again. Skimming is just not going to cut it for my vocabulary.
  14. True, but it strikes a weird balance between NAI Boxing hunting versus suspicious lynch manipulation. Anyway, here's a summary of TJ's posts. TJ: I can't tell how experienced that TJ is at this. D1 he posted fairly frequently (well, compared to anyone except Pyro and XP), but didn't give much in the way of actual analysis (most was jokes and RP). He started being a lot more analytical with the Hats fiasco N1, especially trying to figure out the vote manipulation. D2 started with a lot of bouncing theories and discussion between TJ and me. He was the first to get suspicious of Drake due to Drake’s Gasper-limited read list, and the two were mutually suspicious of each other for a while. Wanted to get some inactives to start posting. Seemed surprised when Drake turned up lynched on N2, seemed to (genuinely) find that it should have been a tie on the D2 lynch only for Young Bard to find the mistake in his counting (Lahilt’s vote). Admitted he was wrong, wrote some memorial RP for Lorena Blackburn. D3 was very interested in the Kandra role, and assumed that Araris would pick an Elim as the successor. Was also suspicious of the XP lynch and advocated early for an XP info lynch. Was mostly silent during the Ash-Ventyl accusations, but came to state that Emi didn’t target anyone last cycle and to wonder why Ventyl bought Steel Traps. However, he noted that no one was really defending Ventyl which he saw as Village-leaning. Bonus: Mist could be being all sneaky-like since he usually only posts around the actual resets of day turns to vote. Still keeping an eye on Mist, along with Pyro and Karnage, but I think they’re alright for now.
  15. "Hmm," Cassie said, shaking herself. "300 Chrysts sounds perfect. How large of a device is it? I'd prefer for it to be portable, if possible."
  16. Byron stared at the device. He recognized it as something a few worldhoppers had carried, a... phone, of some kind. Like a spanread for voices. He hoped his bubble wouldn't disturb it much. He held it up, then looked back. "Uhh... Aln? Alanis? How do I use this thing?"
  17. Hmm. Because at this point, I'm less suspicious of Ventyl being an Elim!Leecher and more suspicious of him not being a Leecher at all. But I really have no idea; it's just a gut feeling/read. Something about our interactions is very off, but I can see how impossible it is to see which end it comes from, or whether it's just two defensive people in a sticky situation. I mainly want Ventyl to prove his role because he said he would prove his role, both by Leeching Walin and by trying to get a Sparker to scan him. And it appears that the Sparker was Elim killed and Walin wasn't Roleblocked, so neither method that Ventyl proposed to prove himself got off the ground. I don't know. You had no reason to say you knew a Sparker in the first place unless it was either a real way to prove your role or some desperate gambit to save yourself from the lynch, but the fact that we still don't have anyone to confirm your role is suspicious to me. Finally, the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY is almost completely RP, as the minutes have shown. I'm sure the members can back me up on that if it is deemed necessary. I hope that explains something.
  18. Walin, if you filled or tapped a metalmind last night, that can also be Roleblocked. Or any action that isn't buying anything from the Black market. However, it does seem like Ventyl didn't actually roleblock, so that's probably moot. There's a few other things about Ventyl that I find suspicious, namely Matrim's death. For one thing, Matrim was the one that stated the whisper whisper inc was meant to be a way to incriminate me. While I doubt that revenge is a good plan for an Elim, there is another thing: Matrim was a Sparker, when Ventyl said that he knew a Sparker who could verify his role. Well, it appears that Ventyl now has no Roleblock present or Sparker available to confirm that he is a Leecher. If Matrim was working toward investigating Ventyl, now he can't tell us anything. (If any other whisper whisper inc members want to confirm if Matrim roleclaimed in that thread or to Ventyl personally, that would be good to know, although I'm not sure how that would alter any of my suspicions.) I'm probably very tunneling on Ventyl right now, but he's the only person here who I see as suspicious both from reading posts and from just the data and claims that we have. Edit: Ninja'd by Mage... ish. But I don't think to any real effect, besides that I agree that the main suspicions of Mage are "Could be Kandra" and "is too Village-y". Well, like TJ said we don't really want to lynch the Kandra today because it would essentially lose us a kill N4, and "is too Village" is an awful reason to lynch someone. Although it would be morbidly funny if the Village lynches Mage for being too innocent before I get killed for all my new-player conspiracies .
  19. I think Kynedath is lynchable. Same with maybe Mist. I don’t think that Ash guy is, though. That seems like a bad idea. Jokes aside, my analysis of TJ will probably find something a lot similar to you, Mage - a lot of coincidences, but overshadowed by a lot of (mostly) good analysis and Villager actions. That’s why I’d rather lynch someone that I’m more suspicious of first.
  20. I don’t really want to lynch Mage without much in the way of evidence, although I’m probably willing to jump on any train that developes on a good candidate. With the two different Leechers dead and no “confirmation” I’m back to very suspicious of Ventyl again. But I’ll hold off posting a vote for now, especially because it’s been a really quiet last few days and I want to see if any inactives come back to say their pieces and make their votes. But if we lynch an Elim suspect and find the Kandra, then I suppose that’s better than a Village mislynch. But at this point, if we really are 1-2 turns from lylo, then the Kandra will have to start hunting down Elims, so lynching the Kandra now may not be the best plan for the Village. Aaaaand I’m ninjad by two different people. Fantastic! Elandra and Karnage, and other semi-inactive players, do you guys have any non-Mage reads? I was trying to make a point that we should avoid following the same people for lynch trains, not that we should all lynch Mage based on my reasoning on why he’s slightly more suspicious than TJ or Pyro in my opinion.
  21. Yeah, it's less of "I think you're an Elim" and more "of the four of us, you're most likely the Elim, but who knows". I think it's better to look through the others, but I'm hesitant to assume we have the Village core of activity entirely on our side when we've been wrong so often. (Also, I was trying to do TJ at the same time, but that would have made a very long, Boxing-inefficient post .) Hmm. That would make it twice that Mist broke a tie, wouldn't it... Anyway, RP. I need Boxings. Faleast stood up. “I have something I think we should discuss,” he said, looking at the assembled PRE members. “We’ve mainly been led by a group of four. Pyria [Pyro?], Reginald, TJ, and myself. Well, we haven’t been getting very far in finding any Loyalists. We’ve all said our pieces, but I think it may be time for someone new to take the lead. I don’t know if among our group there is a Loyalist or merely misguided leaders, and I don’t want to name any names as guilty parties. But it’s obvious that if something should change in our results, we need something to change within our methods.” Faleast looked past the three surprised leaders and to the main crowd. “So, while I have my own suspicions that I have and will continue to voice, I’d like for others to begin voicing their concerns, their suspicions, and their votes. I don’t like so many surprises. And I’m tired. So, lets see what happens with what we all have, rather than just a few.” Faleast took a few steps backward, joining the crowd. Suddenly he felt a tugging at his ankles. He looked down and saw… a… “Hello there,” he said, trying to squat down and reach the little kitten. He pet its back – it had a bumpy spine, but had very soft fur. “Now where did you come from?”
  22. Eh. Sure. I'm in, although depending on LG66 and life I may have to drop out.
  23. I keep getting Elkanah and Elandra mixed up in my brain... Here goes some analysis! @Magestar: Mage seems to be one of the more experienced in this group, along with Pyro/Elandera and some of the deceased players like Matrim/Araris... actually, it seems like we've been killing off a lot of the experienced players, haven't we... Anyway, he's more experienced, although he repeatedly highlighted how rusty he was. D1 he posted a few small posts theorizing about Kandra, roles, and D1 shenanigans. He also said he'd only try and post suspicions he was very sure of. Slightly suspicious of Xino (not enough to vote) and voted on Coda. N1 tried to figure out who were the specific vote manipulators, but dismissed it mostly as storing. C1 Araris read Mage as Elim (as well as XP and Kyndeth), which may mean something as a hedging Kandra and since Araris turned up dead the next night. D2 was suspicious of Araris, mainly due to the lack of suspicions he gave, which adds to what I said about N1. Also supicious of me and Drake to some degree. Drake was suspicious of Mage as well. He was confused by the XP lynch train, and seemed very concerned about moving it to Drake. I'm not sure why, unless he knew of XP's potent Lurcher role. Inactive N2, but Araris, who was an Elim!Mage pusher, died. D3 was suspicious of Kyndeth. Seemed very confused by my whole Ventyl-catching plot, which... was very confusing at the time. Wanted us to slow it down a bit. Briefly agreed to join a Ventyl lynch if Striker confirmed the Boxing limit wasn't active, but that didn't go anywhere either. Agreed very quickly to move the lynch to XP for information. Very quiet N3, but so was everyone else. I'd also like to note two things: one, that Mage was the one wondering why I wanted to know why Drake thought I was village, and is now asking for analysis from a group who thinks he's village. Also, while Mage predicted that there would be a lot of kill survivors in this game due to Lurchers/Thugs/Brutes/Bloodmakers, we haven't had a single person survive anything this game . NAI, but kinda funny. (Bonus! Kyndeth was very active D1 but very not active for the rest of this game.) My main worry is that of the most active of us (Mage, TJ, Pyro, Ash) someone's probably going to be an Elim. I know it's not me, and I don't think it's Pyro, so you two are suspects. Not suspects I want to use a lynch on to possibly cripple Village discussion, but suspects to watch. And both of the main people who suspected Mage at some point (Araris and Drake) ended up dead soon after. Main possible lynch targets for me are Ventyl and maybe Mage. @Ventyl, is your roleset really identical to the one Elkanah had? You didn't mention anything about that in your post here, and I'm beginning to wonder if you have a bunch of Steel traps saved up.
