  1. Fair enough. What I'm trying to get is both me and Pyro agreeing that we didn't collude for the Hatz vote, because... well, we didn't. It's not something that the village should necessarily believe, but it does stick our fates together, so that the village can at least assume that we're either both telling the truth or both lying out of our teeth. If Pyro doesn't agree, then one of us is definitely an Elim and either he goes down, or I go down, flip Village, and take Pyro down with me. ... wait a minute, did Devotary post at all? Because Pyro highlighted that we chould lynch Hatz or Walin, two of the three inactives, and never mentioned Devotary. Hmmm. Analysis: @The Young Pyromancer: First person to vote for Coda, Karnage, and Hatz (although his vote on Coda seems more a joke than a suspicion). He’s been acting a bit odd, but friendly to the new player chats. Voted on a lot of different people at different times, and seemed to lead me around voting for different people (which I walked right into). Analysis: Neutral, but leaning Elim. I’m keeping my eye on him. Depends if he backs me up on our PM’s. @Karnage: Only made two posts: one at the beginning stating that he wouldn’t be very active, and another right at/after reset. One thing: Karnage made his post saying he wouldn’t have much time to post… while also poke-voting Araris. It looks like he only logged into the thread AT reset, which means he was probably very surprised by his near-lynching – but also had no chance to move his “poke”, which is NAI but… odd. Analysis: Is neutral from his own posts, but leans Elim from the voting chaos. It would help to get you’re POV on all of this. @Mist: The first one to get several votes, and messed up the final vote tally to make it look like Karnage was tied with Coda and Hatz, then broke the “tie” to vote for Hatz. Not really active enough to say much else. Analysis: Probably a Village who made a mistake in the voting, but noteworthy. @Ventyl: Mostly being analytical, active in the 1st half of C1 and not the 2nd. Started the votes on Mist, which trained a little then quickly faded (Mist got voted on by Ventyl, Araris, maybe Reading, then Ventyl and Araris retracted their votes and Reading somehow negated his vote). Was the first to be a little suspicious of me, but very quickly PM’d me saying he thought I was village. I’m kind of stuck with trusting Ventyl because we shared roles. However, it makes us a good team assuming we are both village and can work together. (Ventyl shared his role first, I followed.) Analysis: Leaning Village, but unsure. Only other I'm concerned about for Elims is Drake from vote patterns, but that's not quite enough to accuse him. Others seem alright, but I'd need to better analyze posts for tone over data.
  2. My initial vote on Karnage was for self-preservation, since someone had just stuck a 2nd vote on me, but I had originally just wanted to tie Karnage and Coda before Coda ninja'd my vote. When Hatz seemed to be an option for a larger tie, I moved my vote there, not expecting so many to follow suit. Not the best logic, but all I can say is I was tired and stuck on mobile where it was difficult to keep track of votes. He didn't vote for Coda, but he and Drake (half in the SHOUT PM, half in the thread, perhaps elsewhere) were the ones who started, in Drake's words, "the outspoken 'save Coda' initiative". Wait, Pyro did vote for Coda in the very beginning, but changed his vote very quickly. In fact, Pyro changed his vote a lot... eh, IDK what that indicates. Mainly just unlikely because I have nothing to read that Pyro is Elim besides this situation, and Pyro could have seen Karnage's post saying that he was going to be inactive. And ALL of the votes on Hatz except Mist's (the last) were moved from Karnage, so someone would have to had preemptively Soothed Hatz. It's more likely than us both being Elims, but there's still other Village explanations. I'm more suspicious of his methods than his actions, if that makes any sense whatsoever. Might be the other way around. I mean, I simply don't know if its a bad strategy. I'm awful at reading into posts, and I didn't get much of a chance to try that day, so really anyone could be a target, which meant I was honestly more interested in making a tie rather than lynching someone specific. Don't really have a better response, besides I'll try to make reads today/tomorrow. True, but the in-thread "collusion" went Pyro: or we could lynch Walin or Hatz. Also Pyro: We could shift Hatz up there into tie-range as well. Ash: Fine, 'Karnage.' Sorry. I’ll move to Hatz if you post/more people vote for Hatz. And then the train commenced. Which isn't really specific collusion between me and Pyro, just me taking an opprotunity not to force it onto Karnage. Another thing: I thought there was a non-negligible chance that I would die last night (or get lynched tomorrow), and if Pyro agrees that there wasn't any collusion between us outside the thread, then me dying and flipping village helps clear him, at least with collusion with me, and vice versa I suppose. Well, that was longer than I thought it would be. I do have some questions that may help solve this. If @ILuvHats or anyone wants to take credit for Soothing Hatz's vote, that could help understand what the Elim's intentions are. In thread or in PM would be fine, although TJ may like to know as well. And @The Young Pyromancer, can you confirm that we didn't talk about Hatz in any of our PM's? At least the ones we share? Have a more analysis-type post coming soon...
  3. Between Pyro's own vote, my vote, and Drake's vote, the vote moved from 5 on Karnage and 0 on Hatz to 2 on Karnage and 3 on Hatz (tied with Coda). *Looks at Mist's post* actually, it looks like Mist duplicated Drake's vote, which make it look like a 3-way tie between Karnage, Hatz, and Coda when Karnage should only have had 2 votes. Then Mist "broke the tie" and voted for Hatz. Hmmm... Probably nothing. But I've already established myself as the conspiracy theorist, so what's another thing for people to wonder about. Signing off for tonight, I'll be back in the morning.
  4. Twinborn theory? Is that just the theory that there are, in fact Twinborn? If there's one of each Misting and Ferring, then there has to be. The SHOUT section is completely irrelevant, except convincing Coda to try and save himself and one possible PM-slipup which has been stricken from the record. I may share it if it becomes relevent, but I don't know if it's a real mistake, a joke, or a "mistake" yet, and as of now it's irrelevent either way. My suspicion was that if Karnage is elim, having a group get him very close to being lynched and reversing it very last-minute would be a good way to draw suspicion away from Karnage. And Pyro organized both the Karnage voting and the swap to Hatz. Could just be me trying to figure out the logic behind the situation, but it is very weird. I don't know why elim!Pyro would move voting off of Coda (village), onto Karnage (?), then onto Hatz (probably Village), in any situation, but especially with Village!Karnage. Now that I think about it, I'm not positive Elim!Karnage leads directly to Elim!Pyro, but I think it does the other way around. It looks like Pyro was protecting Karnage with a "change of heart", which could be from Elim comaradarie or from realizing he'd said he wasn't going to be active. Mainly I was trying to get a post in before reset in case I was right and the Elims tried to silence me.
  5. Byron paused, eyes staring into the distance. "The hunter. Nale. Even he couldn't track down T-... him. Who here can do better?" Then Byron considered his own words. "But if that's the case, then what chance would we have?" He looked back, trying to see where Althea was in the cloud of dust the attacker had left in his wake. "At least wait for Althea. She can't face him alone."
  6. One thing I'll say, since I've been a little busy with the SHOUTING: I agree that Pyro and Karnage (and I) are likely all Village. However, if one of Pyro or Karnage flip Elim, then I think the other has a good chance of also being Elim. Mist and Drake are also on my radar, since they followed Pyro on the Blank>Karnage>Hatz train, but I can hardly say that's evidence when I did the same thing. Following the votes leaves clues, I just don't know what kind of clues.
  7. (Part the ninth, which is a number most fortunate as it is three threes, and three is the number of sides in a triangle, the most stable shape, and so this post is the most stable of the most stable) Stick: The stick refers the representative to his earlier comment about renaming the Talky Talk Agency the SHOUTY SHOUT agency, then his subsequent demand to always pronounce it with three exclamation points on the end! The Representative: The SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! would like you to remind you to close your second set of parenthesis! Confident Indecision Maker: Is this another request to change to the name of the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! message thread, Representative?!!! The Representative: IMPROPER GRAMMAR IS INEXCUSABLE!!! Stick: Now that the parentheses are brackets, the stick would like to review the budgetary proposal! The stick has also kindly produced a memo made of recycled paper from under its sole leaf to remind everyone what the budget proposal is! @The Great and Mighty Game Master (So what if the RP we're doing here gets posted in the writeup under a spoiler as kind of an episodic thing, and the Great and Mighty Game Master divides the boxings earned evenly among all of us? That seems fair, as it lets us share this with the thread while also maintaining a fair boxing division.) EDIT: The stick has burst on fire! (The remainder of the page is rendered illegible by scorch marks) And, now back to our regularly scheduled program, or probably not.
  8. Byron jumped as, once again, everything happened at once. A man flew out of the van on strings of darkness, then grabbed the Leecher and whisked him away to... who knows where. Then the beast threw a body at Althea and fled as well. He whirled to Aln. "If he gets away, if he finds that prisoner... he'll destroy everything." "We have to do something!"
  9. (Part IV, the part which comes after the third, but before the fifth, and is regarded as an unlucky number in China due to its similar pronunciation to the word that means “death”) The Representative: We all are required to use an unusually large quantity of exclamation points and express passion!!! It is mandatory! Stick, Strike 2! Agents, form up and rehearse your dramatic speeches mourning my tragic demise and swearing vengeance for my death! Confident Indecision Maker: At this rate, maybe we should be called the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! The Representative: Excellent idea, Agent CIM! We have been officially renamed to the SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! and kudos to Agent CIM coming up with that! However, shouting is NOT mandatory, so do not feel pressured by the renaming of the agency! The Great and Mighty Game Master: Would just like to pop in and say that I am enjoying this very much!!! The Representative: I thank you, oh great and mighty Game Master! Your praise brings me great joy! The Intern: Indeed. This is quite amusing. Oh, wait. Indeed! This is quite amusing!!! Abstain! The Representative: Yet another vote for abstain! The SHOUTY-SHOUT AGENCY!!! is very hesitant to actually commit to a decision!
  10. It's... uh... it's complicated. Faleast covered his ears. It seemed that somebody, who definitely had no affiliation to Lord Faleast in any manner whatsoever, had desided to recite the minutes from some clandestine meeting that someone had aranged. It seemed to invoke a lot of shouting and loud noises. Ah well, if it was what Coda had wanted to happen, he supposed that he would have to accept it. He took a breath, and removed his hands from his head. The wave of sound hit him immediately, but it wasn't as loud as he had been expecting. Then again, nothing was really what he'd expected when he joined the PRE. Lord Faleast looked around. It seemed like everyone was completely focused on the messages being said, which meant they weren't looking at him. For once. That didn't really mean much, since he'd seen himself how fickle a crowd could be. But he could use a break from suspecting and being suspected. It did horrible things to one's nerves, and Faleast's nerves weren't what they used to be. He stifled a yawn, then folded his hands and resolved to just sit back and watch the show. The night would bring what it may. For now, everything seemed a little bit brighter. Faleast had a sudden, mind-numbing desire for coffee.
  11. Alright, here goes. (Written before my last post and then copy-pasted, FYI) And another person is suspicious of me! I think that makes seven, although not all at the same time. All I can say is I am Village, I'm not very good at all this subtlety and alignment reading, and I was looking to make a larger tie than Coda-Karnage. And, Pyro was the one who suggested targeting Hatz. Twice. And the first to vote for him once I said I would move from Karnage, who people had pointed out had said he wouldn't be very active, if someone else voted for Hatz. And he can confirm that we haven't PM'd about lynching Hatz, only not-letting-Coda-die in the chaotic new-player PM. He's also the one who started the Karnage lynch attempt, then shifted almost everyone who voted Karnage to Hatz. I haven't read into anything to suggest he's elim, but the entire vote shifted from Coda>Karnage>Hatz in the last 3 hours/pages of the cycle with Pyro at its head. If: Ash is Village, Pyro is Elim: If this hypothetical scenario is the case, Pyro wanted to move a strong vote from Coda (a village) to Karnage, then to Hatz (who's probably also village). It could be a ploy to protect Karnage relying on his posting to sway my vote (he can confirm he didn't PM me about it). Could lead to Elim!Karnage. I still think unlikely. Ash is Village, Pyro is Village: If this hypothetical scenario is the case, then I suppose it takes the simplest explanation, where everything was just a bandwagon. Most people (myself included) would rather lynch someone completely inactive than someone who'd posted once to say they couldn't be active. Doesn't point to anyone in particular, although Elims could have joined the wagon to get a better lynch. Ash is Elim, Pyro is Village: If this hypothetical scenario is the case, then Elim!Ash and the rest jumped on an opprotunity to lynch someone other than Karnage. However, it's important to note that I didn't start anything related to Hatz. I suppose Elim!Ash could have organized another Elim to PM suggesting a Hatz lynch to Pyro and have me be the first to jump on it, but Village!Pyro should be able to say this isn't the case. This scenario would point to Elim!Karnage as well. Ash is Elim, Pyro is Elim: If this hypothetical scenario is the case, then the elims did a very poor job of teaching me to be subtle, since we were obviously working in conjunction. Perhaps the elims could be using Elim!Ash as a shield for suspicion, but that seems to have backfired, at least for me. It also doesn't explain why the Elims wouldn't want to lynch Village!Karnage. - I know the last two are false, because I'm village. But that doesn't help much, and who knows how solid my logic is. I suppose one of us could be the Kandra, but Kandra!Ash would make my Kandra conspiracy theories a very odd ploy, and Kandra!Pyro would have little reason to be so invested in the lynch. I'm not accusing anyone yet, but I'm going to start make reads. If I get killed then that means I'm probably on to something. Or some village Coinshot is tired of me. (If anyone’s wondering why I'm suddenly so analytical, 1) I'm under suspicion and trying to contribute, 2) I'm on a computer now and can better read through the threads, and 3) I have actual data.) ... and Pyro just posted. This is awkward. Pyro, I don't really suspect you yet, because you seem nice to the new player group and I haven't seen anything with strong evidence besides the save-Coda initiative. If you could confirm that I (or anyone else) didn't PM-orchestrate the bandwagon Hatz lynch with you, I think that could help clear both of us.
  12. Well there goes my conspiracy to tie the game. I still think ILuvHatz is innocent. Do people usually post suspicions of people on night turns? I have some analysis I want to make, but I also don't want to stand out any ridiculously more because I don't know what people do. -------- Lord Faleast leaned back, trying not to let his face twitch so much. After all the finger pointing, the arguing, the passionate pleas for mercy, Coda was gone. And he had been innoccent. Faleast sighed, leaning back and looking at the celing. He'd knows that there would be blood in this situation, he just didn't expect it to be so soon. Coda had been... friendlier than most to him. Faleast could see the people looking at him, whispering. He didn't really care right now. There wasn't really anything he could say. He hadn't wanted Coda to die, and he hadn't expected there to be a toss-up between his friend and the one he thought was suspicious. Turns out, neither were probably the true suspects, and now the whole cycle was being suspected. Including him. Someone asked if Coda had been a friend to anyone in the room. Faleast gave a silent sigh. Oh yes, yes he had. "I knew Coda," he stated simply, then coughed, his voice cracking with dissuse. He started again. "I knew Coda. He was a... I don't know if I could call him a friend. We didn't know each other long enough. But he... he was one of the few people who seemed like he cared." Faleast blinked. He wondered sometimes what it was like to care. --------- Edit: Flame on! Without context, as usual. Pyro must be rubbing off on me.
  13. Poller stared at the man. He had some form of lens... helmet... thing on his head. It looked like he was constantly trying to adjust his sight, like the machine one of his doctors had used to see if he needed glasses. Still, he wasn't the strangest customer Cassie had had. "Uhhh... I think she's upstairs. I'll call her." :-:-:-:-:-: Cassie rushed down the stairs when she heard the bell ring outside her little room. That meant a customer, one that requested something special that Poller couldn't handle on his own. "Oh! Hello Lord! Are you here to install the smoke fabrial? Or do you need something Soulcast?"
  14. Tyrian watched as Silas dramatically freed himself and retreived his lost Leecher. He crouched into a fighting stance as shadows shot from out from Silas, ready to aid his new ally in battle. And then Silas disappeared. Tyrian nearly dropped his sickle in shock. That wasn't part of the plan. He'd been told Silas was a great warrior, not a... coward. He turned to the bystander groups. They, fortunately seemed just as suprised as he was. That gave him time. "Cinder," he half-whispered, and the ashspren flew back to his side. He growled at Althea. Then he picked up the broken Thug, lying on the van floor, and hurled him at the Radiant with all his strength. He didn't wait to see the result; instead, Dustbringing with all his strength, he burst a whole through the other side of the van. If he knew heroes, she would follow. But Tyrian didn't plan to run for long.
  15. The interesting thing is, Karnage’s vote wasn’t Soothed, it was moved - BACK to Araris. If a Rioter wanted to save Hatz, why not move the vote to Coda, which would tie it without the Soothing and guaruntee Coda’s death with it? If a Soother and Rioter worked together to TIE the vote instead of force it, that would suggest two Elim manipulators - and probably soft clear Hatz, maybe. @DrakeMarshall you need Pyro’s vote on Hatz. Otherwise it’s in better shape then mine/Mist’s. Signing off for tonight. Tomorrow I can join on my computer and hopefully do some actual people analysis. It’s hard to scroll through so many posts on mobile.
  16. Huh. I thought you could tell which person’s vote got Soothed. Vote Tally (Copy-Pasted from Mist, the last one to post it, changes underlined): Karnage (3): Coda, DrakeMarshall, xinoehp512, Coda (3): Araris Valerian, Experience, Ventyl ILuvHats (5): The Young Pyromancer, ILuvHats, DrakeMarshall, Karnage, Mist Araris Valerian (1): Matrim's_Dice Ashbringer (2): Lahilt, Magestar Experience (1): Elandera Matrim's_Dice (1): The_God_King Mist (1): Shard of Reading Magestar (1): TJ Shade The_God_King (1): Elkanah — Looks like Experience and Drake swapped somehow and Karnage’s vote got moved back to Araris, plus the Soothing on ILuvHatz’s vote. And someone soothed the vote on Mist? Maybe Karnage’s post was too late to count. But something’s odd here. I guess someone really wanted to save Hatz.
  17. Um... ILuvHatz has 4 names for votes? Which one is wrong, the number or the names?
  18. Well, now I have an interest in self-preservation. Karnage. Sorry. I’ll move to Hatz if you post/more people vote for Hatz. Yes, I am new. Joined about a week or two ago, and this is my first SE game. I guess I’m hesitant to read people, especially stuck on mobile like I have been today. It’s hard to scroll through everything.
  19. Another thing is, if he actually was planning on doing this, he could have just asked Striker to clarify the role in his PM. I doubt that he would PAFO it when that may just encourage Coda into trying to lynch himself to find out. Also, I don’t think the PM with your role covers every case, or even varies from the role lists much. ... unless we’re not supposed to ask clarification questions in the GM PM, in which case I goofed up.
  20. Gotcha. The first 2 suspicious votes did ask me to do something, which I tried and evidently succeeded. Then Drake’s asked how I pled, and I didn’t want to just say “Not guilty” and then sign off for so long. I think the middle is where most of the conversing devolved into trying to get the most posts for this round. So you’re not missing too much
  21. I was going to say... I didn’t put anything on page 1 yes, but I did on page 2 and the last few pages of the signup/questionaire thread. I was in a zoom meeting 3:00 to 4:30 so I couldn’t see what was going on. Also I was a little at a loss as to how to respond to a non-suspicious poke after several semi-suspicious poke. Edit: PST, so last hour and a half.
  22. I am very confused. First someone poke votes me (I assume? No suspicion given), then they take it away, then someone else votes me. I don’t think I can/should say much more on the Kandra role and my suspicions of it’s potential. If it’s something else, let me know. I would rather not get lynched C1 of my first game...
  23. First there’s 47 new posts in an hour, then nothing for a half hour. Huh.
